Excellent cold brew coffee! Nice(little) coffee shop in Millburn, good surrounding location with decent restaurants/shops around. Was actually featured as one of NJ best coffee shops in 2015, well deserved in my opinion. Nice staff, wifi available and great ambience. However, limited seating inside. Overall, a great place to grab a cold brew coffee and explore the town of Millburn. Would highly recommend

I always go with a cold brew or their regular iced coffee. Coffee is more on the stronger, bold side. It’s hard for me to leave without getting an almond croissant! If I can change one thing it would have to be the closing time. Wish it were open past 4pm.

Great cup of coffee, very fresh with a wonderful flavor. I walked in and placed my order, I felt I was inconveniencing the barista, who was just idly standing around. Wouldn’t prevent me from coming back, though!

Not your«run of the mill» coffee shop(pun intended). Coffee here is very very good, strong, not burnt, and high quality. Service is very good as well. I’ve started coming here in the mornings instead of hitting up Starbucks just a few stores away. Now when i see others walking past Coffee Mill Roasters with an Sbux cup in their hand, my first thought is «suckers.» Support local business, give Coffee Mill Roasters a try; I promise, you wont regret it.

Best place for coffee in Millburn, and perhaps a 25 mile radius around Millburn. We always buy our coffee from here to brew at home. Seriously love this place. It’s a stone’s throw away from Starbucks so don’t waste your time there and walk the extra 20 steps to the Coffee Mill Roasters. Their coffee is was better, it’s not as crazy, and they have a nice little courtyard behind it to sit and enjoy your drink. Living near Morristown we drive the 15 minutes to get a good cup of coffee, stock up on home brew, and then hit the wine library on the way home which has an awesome selection. All in all makes for a great weekend! Trust me, give it a look.

Not good. Plain and simple. I ordered a flat white and the woman basically gave me a cappuccino. If you do not know what a flat white is so not have it on the menu. My mom had an ice coffee not good either. Too many people think they can be coffee roasters.

I walked in on a calm Friday morning and was greeted right away by the awesome staff! I quickly skimmed the menu but already had in mind what I wanted. I got a pour over coffee which, took about 7 minutes to make, but I wasn’t in a rush and it was worth the wait. It was delicious! I also purchased a bag of beans(Ethiopian Yirgacheffee) to brew at home with my aeropress. I’m glad I stumbled upon this cute little small batch coffee roaster. The staff, Elizabeth and Lenny, were very accommodating and friendly people. They gave me suggestions on where to go and what to do because I was new to town and it was such a big help! :] Keep doing what you’re doing Coffee Mill Roasters!

The coffee is good here. I like the atmosphere too. There isn’t a lot of seating, a small high top and a counter by the window for people watching. So be prepared to take it to go or in the nice weather sit outside. My only gripe is the counter staff. Whenever you ask them about by the beans or the roast, etc they look at you funny and mumble an answer. I give them kudos for opening next to a gross coffee chain and holding their own. I would love to see the staff be passionate about coffee the way people working g at a roaster usually are.

The smell of coffee is strong the second you walk in! There are roasting machines that you see when you are inside and they are roasting beans fresh right there. I got a cold brew and it is great. Strong taste. There are multiple drink options beyond coffee too, but it’s definitely a coffee place. There is cold brew to go and coffee beans to go too.

You might laugh, but I judge a coffee place by its decaf. If the decaf is good, you know they give a damn. And friends, the decaf is good. They only brew it in the mornings but you can get a decaf Americano later in the day. Love this place.

I really like this place. The feel is more like that of Europe than that of your standard third wave coffee purveyor. There’s not a lot of room to sit inside, but what room there is comfortable and offers a great view out the large front window. Some sidewalk seating is available, but there’s not a lot of awning above you for when the sunlight gets oppressive(I really appreciated the consideration of the barista who offered my friend and I ice water when the heat ramped up). Coffee is above average and drinks are well-made. An ideal neighborhood coffee shop, right around the corner from the Farmers Market.

The coffee was very very good but I would have liked a bit more complexity. But that might be because in my opinion the pourover makes the coffee a little sterile. The person I spoke with about the roasting process and their coffees in general was very knowledgeable. Which I really liked. I’m not a fan of pourover coffee however it’s still a very good method of brewing coffee. The biscotties were excellent!

Lots of interesting coffee choices here, as well as good brewing methods. The staff cold have been friendlier but not a big deal. It’s a tiny space for only a few patrons.

A small hipster coffee shop in town with a great variety of coffee drink options. They also sell a few fresh pastries to accompany your Java. If you are a fan of cold brew coffee, buy the growler! Stores up to 14 days in the refrigerator and makes about 4 drinks. The cold brew has a full flavor and is stronger than regular iced coffee. Refills for the growler are about 8 or 9 bucks. There is limited seating, so come here for your coffee on the run!

You WANT to drop by Coffee Mill Roasters if your a coffee aficionado! I ordered a Medium Dark Roast Overdrive(Drip coffee with a shot of espresso). I believe it was a Brazillian roast they were offering. WOW, I immediately felt the bite and slight sting of the FRESHREAL coffee. I could feel the strong caffeine from the fresh brew. This establishment really does coffee great! I honestly feel Starbucks(which is just a name, and no special coffee available) can’t compare to the strength of the beans here. The proprietor, who helped me decide which brew was best for me, polite and helpful. My only suggestion is perhaps to place a table in front of the store for customers to relax.

A petite shop with quality brew. The Coffee Mill has won my heart for a sit down experience or a grab and go cup. The shop is small but offers a few seats for those who wish to enjoy the snacks and beverages offered. I had a plain olé drip coffee, but be sure the chalkboard menu includes other favorites like café au lait, cappuccino, iced beverages, a long list of sweeter flavored roasts, and hot chocolates. Baked goods all looked fabulous, though for once I exercised restraint and didn’t try any. Fluffy croissants, and jumbo traditional and chocolate biscotti all caught my eye. Next time my cookie-luscious friends! The coffee was strong(but not burnt tasting) and you have a choice of a mild or strong brew. Service was friendly and prompt. Location is at the beginning(or end depending on approach and life philosophy!) of a cozy downtown Main Street. Approved.

The Coffee Mill is one of the better coffee spots I’ve been to. Located in downtown Millburn, it’s got a different vibe. Raised-up bar stools and a nice environment add to the already solid cup of coffee. They have some original offerings, which sounded great(«The English Toffee Latte» and the«Snickerdoodle Latte» were two that I can remember). I got the cappuccino while my wife got the Iced Hazlenut Latte. Both were done very well, and made pretty quickly. It costed about $ 8.00 for those two — so a bit pricier than I’d expect from a solo dolo independant shop, but regardless, the drinks were done well. 3⁄5 only because it didn’t do anything to jump out — maybe if you get one of their special drinks it’ll rock that up to a 4/5, but for a cappuccino, it wasn’t anything different than what I’ve had!
