I wouldn’t recommend Martini. The service was good and friendly but the food was nothing to come back for. Prices are high and quality is low.

Just went here tonight for a drink and they couldn’t make my drink because they were missing half the ingrediants. My girlfriend ordered a fizzy dude and it tasted like club soda and shmuckers. Bar tenders are lazy. The place is practically empty for a reason. Another overpriced crappy quality bar.

Had dinner and appetizers here one night. Food is terrible. How can you screw up tortilla chips and guac? .also, worse Margarita I’ve ever had. Way too strong, bad taste, not a hint of blood orange flavor. The service was really good, which is why I’m giving this place two stars. But, otherwise, really bad drinks and overly priced bad food.

H.L. Mencken said the martini was the«only American invention as perfect as the sonnet». He wouldn’t have said the same about the Martini Bistro & Bar. It’s a really nice(if austere) dining room — large, so tables are usually available; lively bar scene with lots of televisions. It’s also a very friendly staff. The hostess greeted us with a smile and seated us quickly; our server«Kevin» was nice and apologetic when things went wrong(and they did); and an unnamed man who we assumed was the dining room manager helped out. But the food and the menus simply don’t work. We were presented with a specials menu(single page with half a dozen items or so), a standard menu — ranging from wings & sliders to sushi to steak and seafood entrees — and a voluminous drink menu. Predictably, a lot of creative martini choices, although all of theirs were vodka-based…I thought the original was gin-based, but it’s ok because, for me, it’s scotch season. I order a typically priced Macallan 12-year-old for $ 12. It’s a healthy pour, so I’m satisfied with this value. The specials menu listed New England Clam Chowder for a reasonable $ 6. I ordered this, only to find out they don’t have New England Clam Chowder. «But you put it on a daily dinner specials menu… and it’s 6PM…» Our daughter is stoked because they have sushi. She pours over the sushi choices before settling on a mix of special rolls and basic sushi pieces. Except it’s Tuesday and they don’t serve sushi on Tuesday. There’s a sign outside that advertises sushi… with no date disclaimers. Nothing on the menu warns us off, either. Ok, back to the drawing board. We share a good sized portion of nachos with turkey chili on them. All tastes ok, but no hot peppers available(we substituted Tabasco sauce) and the chips were dense and hard — better for scooping than eating. The entrees come out before we’re done our app. I ordered a Reuben. I am limiting bread intake, so ask if it’s served«open-faced». Kevin says«it can be». What«can be» means is that they serve me a half sandwich(see pic below). I figure I can make up for it with the side of fries, but they are woefully undercooked. Bill time and I happen to notice that the Macallan charge is $ 13 when I clearly remember seeing $ 12 on the menu. Kevin quickly makes the adjustment with apologies(see pic below) but nothing further is offered to make up for this comedy of errors. This enterprise has a great location and decent bar scene, which must be what keep it afloat, but the restaurant needs a ton of work.

We were a group of 8. Forgot our appetizers, food came out at random intervals. Food was very mediocre. Service was terrible… didn’t refill our waters. Good band

What kind of restaurant lets you call in to make a reservation for 6:30, and then when you show up that night for dinner, they’re completely closed, lights off, not a single person in sight, leaving you to wonder if you’re so delusional that you merely imagined you called them up for a reservation? That would be Martini Bistro. They decided to close for July 4th but didn’t mind screwing up other people’s 4th of July plans by handing out imaginary reservations…

I haven’t been here for the night time but lunch is cool. I wish the sushi started earlier but It is tasty for sure. The bartenders are friendly. Love the calamari and the shrimp cocktail.

Surprised how bad it was. Went on a date there, excited to show him how cute this place was. Greeted and shown to our seats, but the waiter seemed more of a bus boy and not very interested in being polite or helpful. For appetizer we ordered the martini tacos with sea bass, tasted«fishy» and not in a good way. For entrée, my date ordered the cheeseburger, which came to the table almost rare and not how he wanted it. I ordered the Morgan’s salad with shrimp, the dressing was good but the shrimp seemed like they were pulled out of the fridge. Bland, burning and just eh. Lastly, drinks were overrated. I mean, to call yourself«martini bar» and to serve a lychee fruit martini with soured lychees… come on. Management needs to get some quality control in this place. Not going back!!!

I didn’t have any food here so this review is only on the bar and the drinks. Came here for drinks with co-workers on a Friday. It seems like a clean and modern bar. There are TVs and a bartop on one side and more secluded booths on the other side. My friends each had dirty martinis(which they said were delicious) and I had a fig martini, which was on special. The bartenders were busy but friendly and got us the check right away when we were ready to leave. I could see more people filtering in as we stepped out to our next destination. Seems like it could get noisey if the bar area gets going and annoy any diners in the seated area…

Have yet to come here for a dinner or lunch, but if you want a nice after spot to grab a drink in an adult upscale ambiance, this is the place to check out. The Martinis are potent and get the job done(not to mention the martini choices are endless). They have a nice scotch menu and there is also a unique appetizer and dessert menu. The place also serves sushi until 10. I live in the town and the gf and I swing by here quite often when heading home from somewhere on the weekend, perfect place for a nightcap.

Modern, nice long bar, TVs, and a dining room too. Went there twice now, once at the bar and once in the dining area. The place is clean, open and the service is good. Varied menu, even at the bar. But nothing really memorable. Good food, drinks, etc. Good for a business lunch, or after work drink but no wow factor. I oan’t even remember what we ordered, except the buffalo wings, which were fine. Again, nothing particularly wrong with any dish, just kinda average. Not a foodie joint. Went there once for evening drinks on a weekend, way too loud. They had a band or DJ or something and as soon as I opened the door, my ears began to ring. Didn’t stay.

Unilocal you never fail me when i am on unknown territory… Was invited to the papermill play house and in an effort to avoid the massive NJ rush hour traffic we decided to go early and find somewhere to eat there. They have an option of main dinning room or quite room. we opted for the quite room(service gets a little complicated when only one server is around) drink suggestions were pretty good, but the star of the night was the Sushi selection.

Ive been going here for 30 years. The management has changed and it is a downgrade. The current manager was disinterested in interacting with the customers. He was nasty and his attire was fit for the ball field. 10:30 on a Friday night with a nice music band and the place was empty. Bring In a manager who cares and maybe you will survive

They pretty much embarrassed themselves. I’ve been a handful of times and while my other experiences have been average at best, last night ensured I won’t be rushing back anytime soon. We were seated promptly at 8:45. The establishment was not particular crowded, save for a smattering of smaller parties and one large party a few tables down from us. Outside of being given menus upon sitting, or presence wasn’t acknowledged until 9:00 when our drink orders were taken. After that we had to actually flag down anyone to find out the status of our drinks and if were going to be able to actually order dinner. The drinks came around 9:15 and we ordered soon after that. No apologies. No excuses. Just a general attitude of that’s how they roll at Martini. So, we ordered. Apps: Two soups, one sushi roll to share. The soups came after about 10 more minutes. Again, we had to flag someone down to check on the status of the sushi which did not arrive until the last few spoonfuls of soup remained. No apologies, no excuses. I will say that while I didn’t try the soup, it was completely finished and said to be pretty good. The Insane Roll, was delicious. fresh and flavorful. The roll was to be my only highlight of the evening. As for the mains, the best served was a New Zealand rack of lamb special. It was cooked right, well seasoned and quite tasty. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for either the Ahi Tuna or the Seared Scallops. The scallops tasted as if they were seared on a plain pan without a hint of butter or oil. There was zero seasoning or flavor. They simply tasted like char. In fact the only decent thing on the plate was saved by my decision to substitute spinach with broccoli. At least the broccoli was sauteed in a touch of oil with some garlic and had some flavor. The same lack of flavor was apparent in the tuna. The consensus was that the tuna could have been saved had they drizzled a touch of the sauce they’d used for our sushi roll. At least they could have accompanied the dish with a lemon wedge for some citrus. We had to flag down a staff member to plead for that as well. Our server seemed taken back when we did not want to order dessert. After that performance, who would have wanted more of that food?!? He was even snobbish about us not wanting coffee or espresso. Personally, I was scarred an additional order may have kept us there until well after 11. As a side note, we did manage to flag down the manager who didn’t seem to be doing much of anything. He explained to us that our server was overworked and tending to many tables. A note to the manager: If your server is so overworked in a somewhat quiet restaurant, and you find yourself not doing much of anything, perhaps you should pitch in and help! Take an order or two. Check in on your guests. Anything! Simply standing by the entrance is not getting it done! As a positive, he took the scallops off the menu and comped us our round of drinks. While this was certainly a nice gesture, it wasn’t enough to get me to return. There are far too many places where I can be ignored and served subpar food at a much softer price point.

Really nice atmosphere! Great martini menu available! The food was really good. From the chicken spring rolls to the tuna tartar — you will not nene disappointed. For dinner my son has the scallops that were blackened to Perfection! I had a salad with grilled chicken and I cleaned my plate! This place is a must try! It has something for everyone!

We had a great waiter/bartender. The expresso martini is definitely a great choice, not to sweet but a unique choice. Recommend the calamari and rigatoni.

Went there on a first date and I can’t complain. We went on a busy night and had to wait so we were offered to wait at the bar. The bartenders were really nice and the sake martini was something I’ve never had before, yet so delicious! The bartenders were playful and wanted to know which one made the better martini, which was cute. They we’re very attentive and I never had to fight for their attention which is such a plus! I highly recommend it. For a bar that offers sushi I recommend you trying it.

They have improved their food a lot! So often, we want to get a quick bite right before the show at the papermill playhouse, they have yummy sliders that are just the right size for easy eats, the fries were tasty and hot, Noisy friendly environment safe and a short walk to the show when you are done. I recommend

One of those odd establishments that can pretty much accommodate anything. It’s great for families, couples, and what I go for, drinks and some food with colleagues. I usually get the beers on tap, and they always have whatever game is playing on a few flatscreens by the bar. I’ve also sat in the rear with a larger group for dinner. Food is decent for the price.

Martinis were sweet but good. Shrimp cocktail was outstanding. Nice big and very fresh shrimp. Banana pudding was delicious as well. Place is loud but not so much where you couldn’t hear the other person talking. Waiter was friendly and attentive.
