We hired TDE to do our wedding GOBOs and uplights and we were pleased with the outcome! Otis and his team were responsive to emails and calls. He was knowledgeable and made recommendations on how «warm» lighting interacted with «cold» lighting to make a more dramatic and contrasting effect at our wedding reception. The professional staff who came to our wedding site to set up the lights checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were content with the lighting colors and effects. Overall, we had a pleasant experience working with TDE and would recommend them to our friends!

For every happy ending theres alway a story behind it and we definitely have one of those to share. We are extremely blessed to be able to find Carina & Otis who came to save the day. Our wedding would of been a diaster if it wasnt for them and their TDE team. Our previous coordinator decides to bail on us 2 months before our wedding and stringing us along with no direction, without TDE professionism and well coordination, our wedding would of not been well and smooth planned. For our bilingual Chinese/​English wedding, my husband and I knew that we had to find an emcee who can speak Cantonese and English to our 500 (yes, you read that correctly) — 500 guests at our reception.
The Day Entertainment was recommended to us by a friend who attended another Chinese wedding and said that the emcee there, Otis Fang, was really good at speaking in Cantonese AND in English and making the whole reception fun and entertaining.
I contacted TDE and met with Otis a few times. We went over packages that they had, from photobooth to DJ to emcee. They really are a «one stop shop» — they even have lighting, flowers, decoration and just everything you might need for planning a wedding. Too bad that by the time I went to them, I already had a lot of other vendors booked! If I knew about them beforehand, it would probably have saved a lot more time to go with them since they really do provide everything!
Otis is professional and friendly — he responds quickly over email, gives us suggestions and advice when it came to planning.
On the day of the reception, we had a few key people running late, which delayed the start of the reception but Otis was working well with our wedding coordinator and still managed to make the whole event smooth and run up to schedule on a timely manner.
Afterwards, I had friends that came up to me asking who Otis was, and if he was a friend! They said that his Cantonese and English was spoken very well and everyone understood what was going on. My husband and I appreciate that a lot because we have family who doesn’t understand any English at all and so for Otis to be a bilingual emcee really helped our wedding to be memorable for our non-​speaking English guests.

Out of all the vendors we had to deal with during our wedding, I can easily and honestly say that TDE was the best. Stress-​free, professional, easy to work with, and wanted to make sure we got what we wanted. I can’t say that about any other wedding vendor I’ve had to work with.
We got the videography service. They were very professional in taking down what we wanted (highlight video, what to include in full video, timing for delivery). They delivered on time, and the quality of the highlight video we got was fantastic! Judging by how well they delivered, I feel like I should have gotten even more services from them.
The pricing worked out VERY well for videography. It’s a joke what I’ve seen other vendors charge for 1-​day of work — lots of people out there just looking to take advantage. TDE is priced very reasonably and for the quality delivered it is worth every penny.
There’s a reason why every review here is 5 star, and here’s another one in their bucket.

We booked our emcee needs through TDE because they did such a great job with my wife’s sister’s wedding. We were trying to organize our wedding reception to be in Fremont, CA from Ohio and Otis and Carina couldn’t have made it any easier to have all our planning done. They were on point for everything we needed and was able to accommodate the planning for the fact that we were trying to do all of this from 2000 miles away.
Jackson was our emcee and he was great with providing us ample time to get ready for the events of the night during the dinner and at making up time when we fell a little behind on schedule. He was a very lively emcee and was very good at keeping our guests entertained.
I would 100% recommend TDE for your wedding reception needs.

We picked TDE because of their reputation. Definitely, we made the right decision and we would refer them to our friends without a doubt. Great job Otis, Ken Ken (MC)and TDE team. We had countless text messages, emails, and meetings and Otis has always been patient to us. They are friends to us! :P In addition, we like how they were able to accommodate our needs by customizing their service packages. Every details including pricing is black and white on the contract. Unlike some other wedding service providers, they have to have you go with their service packages without being able to customize it based on your preference. After few appointments with Otis and Carina, we made our deposit and knew they were going to do a great job for our wedding with their commitment.
The team during the date of the wedding is amazingly organized and professional. Ken Ken, our MC, talked to us constantly and ensure everything was going the way we expected. He is a funny MC and the guests indeed had a good time. One special shoutout to the team who was in charge of the photo booth; at the end of the banquet (most guests were gone), my wife and I wanted to take a picture in the photobooth because we found out we didn’t do it yet! As I noticed, they were already half way packing, but told us they were okay to re-​set up everything for us. Very polite and considerate. Courtesy like this could make it a huge different experience!

The Day Entertainment (TDE) was everything that we hoped for and then some. I was a bit hesitant in going for an «all you can eat type» of wedding service but it just made sense. Especially since we were a bit behind in getting ready for our wedding. They did the heavy lifting in terms of beautiful decorations, the DJ who personalized our music and entrance songs, the beautiful custom lighting, the photography, the video, and the awesome photo booth and etc. It just made the wedding that much more easier knowing we had a partner like TDE on our side. They made everything painless and couldn’t tell you how many compliments we got with the beautiful flowers and decorations that they meticulously arranged. Moreover, they took care of all of the vendors so that we didn’t have to. We dealt pretty much with just them which made it that much more easier.
Not to mention Otis did a wonderful job in hosting the event and entertaining the crowd. My guests commented on how masterful of a job he did in keeping them engaged and and having fun the whole time. He did a variety of different games and made sure we were on schedule each step of the way. There were no lulls in the wedding because of that and the guests had a great time throughout the day/​evening. It was amazing.
TDE did a great job from the day we met all the way to the end of a beautiful night on our special day.
Moreover, prices were reasonable. No wonder why they get 5 stars from me and from many other happy clients. If you are still on the fence, get off the fence and give them a shot. I can pretty much say, you will be glad you made the choice in going with TDE. Good luck!

I worked with Otis mostly and he was great. I had my wedding video done here. They did a wonderful job. I even went back and ordered a few more DVD’s for my family. The person that did my video captured my day and the music they added for me was really nice. I also went to a friend wedding and they did her video, photos, DJ service, MC services and a photo movie clip. The job that they did on the photo clip was so great, the way they tied the music and pictures together was so nice and at the end I was in tears and the groom was too.

The Day Entertainment provided us with exceptional services throughout the planning of our wedding up until the Day-​of. Our wedding was beautifully decorated exactly the way we wanted and visioned. Staff members worked very hard to ensure our day was perfect and stress free. We couldn’t asked for a better well organized company to plan our wedding. They have met all our specific needs and instruction. I highly recommend them as your one-​stop wedding services.

Amazing work by TDE! I really enjoyed working with Carina, Otis & team. They were extremely easy to work with and spoke excellent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. I had TDE help me with my wedding reception flowers, décor, lighting, DJ, MC, photo booth and day-​of coordinator. The flowers were beautiful, lighting was perfect, DJ had all the songs I asked for, MC was perfect switching between English, Cantonese, Mandarin for my guests, photo booth was fun (until they ran out of paper) and day-​of-​coordination was perfect!
I had a fairly simple Chinese banquet reception. I planned out all of the menu items, appetizers, favors, venue layout, table layout and general floral design. I then looked to TDE to fulfill the execution part and everything I asked for was done to the T!

Carina was sweet and easy to work with from day one. She was always responsive through email. We had the pleasure to work with Eric (photographer) and we were very happy with our engagement pictures. We received a lot of compliments about our wedding. and we definitely could not have done it without TDE.
We had less than 9 months to plan our wedding and I’m glad we found TDE when we did. TDE is a one stop shop and the service/​packages are great. It was very easy to work with Otis, Carina, the photographers, videographer and Jackson (Emcee). The whole team was friendly and helpful.
Now that the wedding is over, I wish I did a few things differently. For those planning to work with TDE, make sure you have most of the details planned out. Whether it’s having pictures of the flowers that you would like, a list of songs you would like played, or drawing the floor plan/​layout of the venue. It’s better to be prepared, so that all the details will be executed on your special day.

I usually don’t write reviews on Unilocal but I’ll make this one an exception since I was extremely pleased with TDE’s service.
We were referred to TDE by one of our friends and specifically requested Otis to be our emcee since we’ve heard so many excellent reviews about him. Otis was as good as everyone said and definitely kept the crowd entertained.
We worked mainly with Otis and Carina. They were very professional, prompt and patient. All of the decorations done by Carina turned out exactly the way I wanted. The bridal bouquet was perfect, it came out exactly like the picture I showed her.
TDE provided a nice variety of props for their photo booth. The photos were high quality and printed instantly. You can also download the photos on their website for free.
I also rented a beautiful evening gown for a reasonable price. They have a good variety of wedding gowns, chinese gowns and evening gowns for rental.
Overall, I had a great experience working with Otis and Carina. I would highly recommend TDE to everyone, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Carina, Otis and the rest of the TDE crew for making our special day so memorable.

Our reception was on 9/​7, it went great! Big thanks to The Day Entertainment, especially to Carina, Otis, Eric (photographer), Alice (makeup and hairdo), and MC Ken.
We were looking for a photographer and emcee for our wedding, and found out that TDE can provide both services and more with their packages (photographer, videographer, emcee, DJ, decors, photo backdrop, lighting, gown rental, makeup and hairdo). We were really glad that we could find this one-​stop shop that can make our wedding planning so much easier.
We worked with Carina and Otis most of the time. They were very professional and patient. And they reply emails super quick!
Eric was our photographer, pictures came out great, we love them so much.
MC Ken was awesome! He brought a really good atmosphere to our party. My friends and coworkers keep telling me how great he was to make the party so lively and not boring.
P. S. They can all speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. I speak Cantonese, my wife speaks Mandarin, and my coworkers speak English. The way there were 3 languages being used in the party makes it pretty cool :)

TDE is a very professional wedding vendor!
We knew from them on our friend’s wedding last year and we were impressed by their service. When we were planning our own wedding this fall, we chose TDE without hesitation.
We are glad to have Ken as our Emcee who can speak Mandarin/​Cantonese/​English. He was controlling the whole wedding timing perfectly. Our guests did not feel bored at all.
Otis gave us some suggestion about setting up the audio system on the wedding venue. It worked so well for ceremony/​cocktail/​and the reception.
The only thing we regretted was that we did not have enough time to add customized gobo lighting for the dance floor. I believed it would be even better with this service.

TDE definitely exceeded our expectation for our wedding. Carina and her team are prompt, friendly and eager to help with anything we’d like accomplished.
As the bride, I personally planned the entire wedding on my own and hired different venues to provide different services. TDE by far provided the best service and the only venue where I felt they have «heart» to be in this business.
They have a-​la-​carte service but also packages to suit every couple’s needs and Carina worked with us to customize a package where we can utilize all services provided without having to pay for anything we won’t use. Their pro-​active reminder also saves us tons of headaches as other venues need to be reminded.
Makeup & Hair — Alice was wonderful and very experienced. She did my hair and makeup for both the engagement photos and day of wedding and it was done in less than 2 hours.
Decorations — The backdrop was so beautiful and modern. It would cost way way more at other venues.
Flowers — My bouquet looks just like the photo I sent to Carina with the exact kind of flowers I requested.
Gown Rental — Both Wedding gowns and Chinese Wedding gowns are available for rent, it cannot get any more convenient than this! Other than Chinatown, I don’t know where else I could rent a Chinese tea ceremony gown.
Photography — The canvas and photo book crated by TDE were done in a very tasteful way.
Photo Booth Rental — Each of our guests enjoyed the photo booth so much! Instant photo prints made it easy for everyone to take home a piece of good memory. Their props are fun as well.
Day of Coordinator service — Carina charges ¹⁄₃ of what other companies asked for and almost no company is willing to do a Day-​of-​service as they want minimum month-​of-​service. For me, it worked out perfectly as my wedding didn’t require month-​of work and Carina and I met weeks before our wedding day and she was spot on with everything I needed her to do.
I couldn’t be happier with TDE’s service!!!

Big thanks to Otis and Carina!!! Thanks for making our wedding so beautiful and painless. I only had 2 months to plan my entire wedding from beginning to the end. I asked TDE to do my backdrops design at the beginning. They are very efficient on sending us ideas and drafts. All my other vendors on my wedding were taking their sweet time to provide us with information. but TDE were super on top of things and very organized. They positive attitude and through explanation on all details just really take my stress away.
The best part was, I fired my florist just 1 week before my wedding and Carina were able to arrange my centerpieces and flower arrangement for that day in less than a week. It’s very amazing!
I regretted not using their MC service. I am sure if I use their full service my wedding would just turn out a lot better… But anyways, I still had a wonderful wedding day and big thanks for Carina, Otis and their team. Definitely give them A++++ and my best friend would also use their service in Nov. because she saw how amazing they were.

Let me begin by telling you that both I and my husband are people with lots of ideas and very high standard. We have been dreamed about our wedding for a long time and we went through many vendors to get to the right place. I RARELY give out five stars review, in fact, this is my first review ever on Unilocal.But both my husband and I could not stop praising the service Otis and Carina offered and the results they delivered at TDE. The Day Entertainment is one the few TOP wedding services in Bay area that you can get. Their package is not only comprehensive (DJ/​emcee, Floral arrangement, lighting, DOC, photographer, videographer, makeup artist, wedding décor, photo booth, etc. and pretty much everything you will need for a wedding), their professionalism in presenting their services, explaining all the details, and corresponding to your needs and requests is THE BEST I’ve ever experienced. Both Otis and Carina are very welcoming people with lots of patience and so much flexibility in adjusting their work to your needs. With the background of being fluent in all English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, Otis is very capable and experienced in handling varies sizes of crowds. He is very sharp, and charismatic in controlling the mood of the party and adapting to any situations so you don’t have to worry a thing besides enjoying yourself with the rest of your families and friends. Carina is very gentle and welcoming. She always cares a great deal about what you want and tries her absolute best to deliver it. The flower arrangement she helped us was a big hit of our wedding, we received numerous compliments on how gorgeous they are! (please see attached photos).
With Otis, Carina, and their entire team’s help, we had our dream wedding at the SF city hall on June 22^nd, 2014. We will forever owe our gratitude to TDE’s contribution and support. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TDE TO ANYONE THAT’S LOOKING FOR A WEDDING DO IT ALL PERSON!
I see a whole lot of LONG reviews and I tend to keep mine short, so I’ve broke it down for all you Unilocalers that just want the juice stuff.
Cons: Pretty much none, just pricey but what wedding isn’t? So let’s be realistic– it was a damn awesome price for the amazing outcome we got.
Pros:
Decorations: See my uploaded picture for the end result. It was breathtaking– they turned Grand Palace Restaurant into a high class, Chinese-​American wedding reception. Gobo lighting, up lighting, beautiful tulle decorations for the whole place. It was amazing!
MC: My husband’s family is as white American as you can get, and they loved Otis! They thought he was funny, informative, and kept the liveliness and ambiance afloat. He’s entertaining– and his English is bomb! (I’ve heard some horrible ones at other weddings. and that scared me. but Otis was AMAZING!)
DJ: The music was perfect. Light jazz for cocktail hour, extremely flexible with all my requests that I made ahead of time. They even id a mix for us at the end while they were cleaning up so we could keep dancing, THANK YOU OTIS!
Planning: Carina is super cute and sweet! She’s QUICK TO REPLY, HELPFUL, COMFORTING, PROFESSIONAL, and just so CREATIVE! :) I love love love her! She gives amazing suggestions and ideas to me, LISTENS– TRULY UNDERSTANDS, and even when I let her decide things like (Colors of the uplighting, decorations and what not) she DELIVERS and does not disappoint! I was breathless when I saw what she had turned that dimsum restaurant into. Even my husband was speechless! (See my uploaded picture!)
Photo Booth: EVERYONE LOVED IT! They had people on site keeping watch of the photo booth, it print REALLY QUICK, the picture quality was AMAZING. I loved it, I wished I had more time to go to take more pictures.
Photographer: BEST ONE EVER. I had specially requested Eric– it was their photography package that initially attracted me to use TDE and I’m glad that I stuck with them! My bridal party is loving the pictures and family is too. From engagement pictures, to the wedding morning, day, afternoon, evening. Eric never disappoints!

Overall experience: I loved it. I planned from living in Hawaii so a lot of it was via email but Carina did an exceptional job with getting back to me, staying on top of deadlines, and always reassuring me and making me feel better about everything that was going in. She’s so nice! And I just love her style and the ambiance that she can create. I’m the first to get married within my group of girlfriends so I definitely will be recommending TDE when I hear someone is getting married. My family from Kentucky, Minnesota, Hawaii, Arizona, Indiana, and many more states– are still talking about how much fun they had and how beautiful it was! :) So I’m more than satisfied!!!
