My husband and son came into get our work vans oil changed. The people we’re not only fast but also very effective. Thanks will definitely be back with other cars.

Great experience with oil changes here. It’s quick and doesn’t need any appointments. Most of the time I have been able to walk in and get a quick oil change, tire rotated and filter changed in 30 – 40 minutes. Friendly and knowledgeable technicians. Small but clean wait room with free wifi. Used the 5 $ coupon every time.

Great service. I needed to get an oil change with my 4 month old and Great Dane with. They were very accommodating.

Go to Midas instead and use the free coupons they send thru there email list ($ 20off an oil change). I paid 65 at Midas while rn I’m paying 100 for an oil change w there bs coupon that says 29 for an oil change. Fuck this place.

I was told that they couldn’t take they could;t take the drain plug off and the place that I took it to before stripped it, although I never had a problem with it. They said if they could not do it it would be $ 60.00 to have to put a new one worst case it would be $ 10.00 so that is what they charged me in addition to the oil change. While I was waiting 3 other people in the waiting room were told the same thing. Sounds like if you had had your oil changed somewhere else. Sounds a scam.

Is a bit more expensive than right next door, but they seem a bit friendlier than next door to be honest :) as long as the work has been done right, no problem! Big plus is that the lady behind counter is quite good looking too

Julio was very helpful I went here to get a oil change on my lunch break and they were done in an hour. Julio even went overboard to let me know different things that was going on with my car, all of the staff was very nice and helpful. I received my discount for checking in and they also gave me a $ 5 off card for service every time I come back for future services!

I came here on Sunday and my car was ready in under 30 minutes. I was able to walk to my atm and come back within plenty of time. The chairs for you to wait in are comfortable and they offer coffee. They were very thorough, they explained their top off service. If my car needed any oil within, I believe its, 1000 miles they’d fill it up free of charge, and after that it’s $ 4 for every quart needed. My car isn’t that old, but it’s good to know. And they’d fill up the other fluids too if needed in between oil changes. They didn’t tell me I needed all sorts of other things done, which I liked. Most places try to swindle me into everything else. I felt like they were honest and not just out for a buck. I was able to use the coupon from Unilocal so that was on the plus side as well. And I like the Millbrae location even though I’m closer to San Bruno. It’s more convenient to pull your car up. I will be returning there for my oil changes for sure.

Went in to get my oil change, was waiting in side at the waiting room and there was an asian lady working at the front desk. When my car was ready I went to her so I can pay and she was so rude and mean giving me attitude for no reason, I was just trying to pay and continue my day but she was so rude for I still don’t know what but very rude bad service. You should be nice to your customers so they come back and feel comfortable ! I told her I would never come again and she said don’t come ! Some people are just rude !

I live in San Francisco and drive the extra distance to go to this SpeeDee location in Millbrae because they’re reliable, thorough and trustworthy. They don’t cut corners here. How do I know? The service technician told me so when I took my car to the dealership for repairs under warranty!
Don’t settle for any other — go to SpeeDee for excellent service and peace of mind!

I service all my own vehicles (I’m a technician) but doing my own oil change is literally the last thing I want to do. Once you add up the cost vs hassle its worth it to me to just take my cars in.
I took in my s2000 a while back and inquired about the types of oils offered. They only carry Mobil one synthetic and not in the weight I was looking for. The tech said they’d do my oil change for thirty dollars if I provided my own oil and filter. Good deal for me. I went to autozone got my oil of choice and brought my car back. I already had an idea with what fluids my car needed serviced and what didn’t. Thirty minutes later my car is ready and the upsell they had was what I knew my car needed. Honesty ~
I took in my girls car last week (2011 Honda civic) also for an oil change. I knew she needed both air filters and a transmission fluid flush. While the car was being serviced I hopped over to autozone and bought the filters to pop in myself. When I returned thirty minutes later they had the upsells ready which only included the items I knew I needed. Tech saw the filters I had bought and was pretty cool about skipping the pitch and even offered to toss in my new filter since they had the airbox disassembled already (I declined I didn’t wanna get them in trouble.) Pretty happy.
Bottom line, super great for quick lube service. Can’t speak for their diagnostic services. But honestly this isn’t the type of place you’d go for diag.

I love this place! Instead of taking a whole day off of work to bring my car to the dealership, I can just get the same service here during my lunch break! Their prices are really affordable for a franchise shop, but not only that, they’re honest enough to tell me I can go shop around first and it’s not something that needs to be done, TODAY. I’ve been to other places that up sells and recommend me services and make me feel that if I didn’t service my vehicle, my car will break down half way home. NONE OF THAT at Speedee! Everyone was welcoming and friendly. After my oil change, I got a service review! They showed me my oil level and how to check my oil level, too. It was an educational 20 minutes I spent at Speedee, which the stuff I learned and was told, would have took me years to comprehend if I had to google it. Speedee, you guys are my go to place now!

Do not even deserve a star. Took my car for an oil change. I was very surprised to see oil all over my garage the following day. They did not tighten the oil cap. Not only did I have to go back to get oil to put in my car but I spent an entire afternoon cleaning up the oil in my garage. I will never go back.

I brought one car in for an oil change and asked a few questions regarding lights that came on. They answered me and gave me solutions on how to fix it. I was really happy they helped me even though they couldn’t fix my problem there. I then brought my second car the next day for an oil change, break change, rotors, filter and engine flush. I am so satisfied. I liked how they showed you what was wrong and showed you what they fixed. They are very honest people and I would totally recommend them! They took over ownership since last April and it’s a huge difference!

They are quick and efficient. They gave me a coupon. I’m disappointed the new management got rid of the free coffee though. They rotated my tires quickly and do a good job.

Very quick and efficient. Only complaint is they claimed they couldn’t scan our $ 10 off coupon, but they gave us $ 5 off instead.

Very unprofessional. Charged over $ 300 to fix issue. Issue returned a day later. They stated that it would be an additional $ 600. Con artists operate this place. Do NOT recommend this awful establishment!

It has been one headache of a month with my car, and it’s all thanks to this shop. My check engine light came on on the weekend after the Fourth of July. I took it into the shop hoping it would be an easy fix. I was charged the regular $ 30 diagnostic fee for the technician to check what the problem was. My first impression of this place was that it was nice… they told me «we don’t want to charge you for more than you really need.» What they recommended was to do a fuel system cleaning instead of replacing any parts.
My check engine light came on 7 days later. I took it into the shop again. This time my car was under warranty so I didn’t need to pay for another diagnostic check. The technician took my car for a test drive and told me that my car was just fine. He reset the computer of my car so the error that was making my check engine light come on, turn off.
My check engine light comes on again 5 days later. At this point I am extremely frustrated. I went into the shop again for another diagnostic check. After doing another check, they came to conclusion that there could be 5 things that were wrong with my car: 1) The Max Flow Air sensor, 2) The Oxygen Sensor, 3) My car needs a tune up, 4) Coolant Temperature sensor, or 5) the Temperature sensor of the car. I told them to do #1−4. Again, they told me, «we don’t want to charge you for more than you really need,»…“so if the check engine light comes on again, we’ll know that it’s your temperature sensor that needs replacing.”
The following day, on my way to work in the morning… guess what??? The light comes back on AGAIN!!!
I decided to take my car to a Certified Toyota Dealership for service this time. I am too angry with Spee Dee at this point. Toyota called me and told me that Spee Dee put an AFTER MARKET oxygen sensor part in my car, and that’s what triggering the check engine light to come back on.
Thanks Spee Dee for NOTHING. You prey on the gullible to make your business. You put after market parts in your customer’s cars. You suck our wallets dry. Don’t trust this place. I am never going back!

I went in for an oil change and took advantage of the free brake inspection offer, being that my brakes had recently been making a bit of noise. I got the report back that the pads were alright and not in dire need of changing, which was a little surprising to me but I figured they knew what was up. A few days later, we went on a camping trip about 3 hours away, and I noticed the brakes gradually getting louder and crunchier — until around the end of the trip it was totally metal-​on-​metal and I was afraid my brakes were going out.
When I got home and brought it back in wondering what was going on, to their credit, they did a good job of showing me the exposed brakes and explaining exactly what had happened: the caliper on one of them was off kilter so only one side of the brake pads had too much pressure on it, wearing down the pad. I was ok with the explanation and appreciated him taking the time to go into such detail, though still felt uneasy that they hadn’t noticed it in the initial inspection. Only one rotor was effected and had to be replaced along with the brake pad, but he still tried to up-​sell a replacement of the other, perfectly healthy rotor which I thought was pretty shady of him. He told me it would be ready by the end of that day, and that it would be ok for me to pick it up the following day.
I had a conference to be at the next morning, so it worked out for me to pick up my car right when they opened at 8am then get on BART to catch the 8:36 train. My morning did not go according to plan and I wound up being ½ hour late and driving into the city thanks to the receptionist being late for work. Apparently nobody else in the shop could operate the cash register so I just sat in the lobby waiting for her to show up. She finally rolls in at 8:30, and there was no apology/​thanks for your patience or anything. She just rings me up. My car was also still in the bay, and the guy who drove it out for me seemed unsure if the job was even finished. I was in a hurry since I was already late so I just took it and hoped for the best. Luckily, my brakes haven’t crapped out yet so looks like they finished it after all.
Would have been one star if it weren’t for the thorough explanation of the brake issue — otherwise they were disorganized and unprofessional.
⁷⁄₁₂ UPDATE: So after having to get my car serviced (elsewhere) for another separate issue, it was pointed out that my coolant was completely filthy and the transmission fluid had nearly run dry (without a leak present — meaning it had just gone too long without having it changed).
Every other place I’ve brought my car in to get an oil change, they make sure to check the fluids, and let me know if something is low or needs a flush, and this was an indication to me that SpeeDee didn’t even bother to do a full check when I took my car in (being that it had been within a 2 week time span). Yet another strike and I’m taking back the consolation star.

Unimpressed with this place. I showed up at 12:30 to get an oil change and tire rotation. When I pulled in I told her that I needed to pick up my friend at Millbrae BART at 1:05. She said it would be no problem.
At 1:00 there was no sign of my car. I asked what the status was and no one at the front desk could tell me much. So I waked into the bay area to find my car and suddenly someone told me I couldn’t be there. I told the guy to find out the status of my car because it had been promised to me. Finally the women I had spoken to when I pulled in showed up. She apologized and said it was going to be another half hour to get my tires rotated. I was pretty pissed I couldn’t wait that long and asked her why she had lied to me. She went in the back and talked to someone then came back out and said it would be about 10 – 15 minutes.
I went back into the office to wait since I had no other choice at that point. I asked if I could pay for everything now so that as soon as the car was done I could get out of there. They wouldn’t do that for me. When I finally got my car at 1:20 it took another 7 minutes to ring everything up and for me to pay.
I understand that mistakes happen but it how a place handles it that makes all the difference. If they had apologized for the mistake… maybe offered me a free car wash or a minor discount coupon for my next visit that would have really made a difference. I probably wouldn’t even use either of those things but I would appreciate that they tried to make it right.
There are a lot of places where you can get your oil changed. I suggest finding another place that cares about customer service.
