Chris is amazing.
He is part photographer, part artist, part entertainer (for kids), and now, a family friend.
We had previously tried multiple highly-​Yelp-​rated, and even personally recommended photographer … and walked away just slightly disappointed. We had decided to try one more time, and based on the other glowing reviews on this page decided to reach out to set up an appointment. Here are some of the reasons why Chris has become our «go to» photographer to capture all the «memorable moments» of our kids’ (we have twins) growing up:
1. Quality. Chris’s pictures always come back amazing. We’ve become a bit spoiled, and other photographers we’ve met don’t seem to measure up anymore. There’s a richness to the color, and sharpness to the angle, that makes all the photos that come back delightful and amazing.
2. Professionalism. Chris is a consummate professional, and brings a level of poise and experience to the camera that we find in few other photographers. He is flexible with our constantly shifting schedules (kids getting sick, sub-​optimal weather conditions, etc), and always willing to accommodate to our myriad needs.
3. Value. Chris charges a very fair price, and doesn’t «nickel and dime» you like some other photographers we’ve met. Chris is not only generous with his time, he is generous with his delivery as well (we always get back more shots than we need for an amazing album).

I forgot to write this review! Totally long overdue. Our 2 year anniversary is coming up, so I decide I should write this.
I met Chris while assisting photography at a wedding. While planning my own wedding, I thought I would only need photography, which would be easier to look at over time instead of watching a video over and over. Of course not realizing that nowadays wedding videos have shorter highlight videos. I still wasn’t convinced though… until I attended a friend’s wedding and Chris did a same day edit highlight video as a surprise to the couple. My husband and I were totally WOWed that and that changed our mind. *great marketing, Chris!
So we flew him out to Maui and he did a 24 hr turn around edit, which was SUPERB! The wedding totally flew by and with all the details, my mind was in haze until he sent me the highlight. One exquisite detail was he even got the twinkle of the stars above our venue during the reception. The highlight and final videos were done so beautifully and he even had surprise footage in the video without being asked. So thoughtful. Chris is so easy to work with and accommodating.
I always recommend him to my friends getting married. I’m a photographer and designer, thus have a very picky creative eye for very detailed aesthetics and Chris passed the test! If you need a video that can freeze your wedding day moments done uniquely, well… reach out to Chris now!

There are no words to describe Chris, his team and his work. They are absolutely amazing. We rec’d many compliments on the same day edit video. We loved working with him! Chris was a pleasure to work with and very easy to schedule an appointment. He got back to me very quickly unlike a few other places. We had him do a 3 hr photo session for our twin 9 month old girls and the photos turned out beautifully. He was professional, prompt, and easy going. Highly recommended!

After the wedding is done and life gets back to normal, you only have 1 or 2 things to take you back to your special day. Photos are great and capture the moments, but a good video captures it all.
We were blown away with the quality of our wedding video from Chris. Professional is an understatement. It just looks slick. Every word of our vows and speeches are crystal clear. How this was even possible on a windy day on the coast by the sea is beyond me, but thats why you use professionals who have done all this before and know all the tricks.
We had our highlights video quickly afterwards, while the full edits took a bit longer than expected, but in some ways it just made them more powerful when we got them because we had forgotten so many of the details of our big day.
Chris is highly recommended for either photo or video and we are looking for excuses to use him again in the future for «something»

From our first conversation to our latest one, Chris has been amazing. Not only did he thoroughly explain his process for filming and editing, he openly listened to what we wanted and definitely made it happen. Chris and his team were extremely pleasant at our wedding and always seemed to be there to capture all of the key moments. When my wife and I first saw our trailer, we literally had goosebumps as it brought that special day right back to us. With all of the decision making and stress that comes with preparing a wedding, Chris made the videography aspect extremely pleasant and pain free. I couldn’t giver Chris a higher rating and would recommend him highly.

So instead of watching this week’s episode of Walking Dead, the wife and I decide to throw on the Blue Ray HD version of our wedding video that Chriz just sent to us recently. Lets just say we loved it and enjoyed it more than last season’s Walking Dead finale. =b
But really, we were impressed from the moment we opened the heavy leather bound disc case. Even though we’ve already seen some clips and highlights streamed over Vimeo, watching them again on the big screen in HD made such a big difference. The image quality was outstanding; like seriously National Geographic HD sharp. And to capture the gestures, motion, voices, sounds, facial expressions, and body language in this quality really made us relive the day.

Chris was simply amazing. We weren’t planning on having a videographer, but after watching a few of his videos, it shows how he captures those special moments of wedding events.
After hiring Chris, we proposed a ‘save the date’ video idea to him. He was very open to our suggestions and ideas for the skit. He also proposed many ideas that were very supportive. After the video was completed, everyone loved it!
He’s met my group a few times before the actual wedding, so he also made me feel very comfortable. He knew our characteristics and what we wanted. I felt that our wedding highlights captured the joy and happiness that was shared that day. I’m very glad we met Chris, and I highly recommend him.

We were so happy with Chris’ work on our video love story. My husband and I are very into Twilight and we were able to incorporate the story into our video love story. Chris was so patient on the day we filmed our video and he followed through the entire script that my husband and I worked on. As for our wedding video and wedding video highlight, both turned out amazing as well. My husband and I were very specific on the style we wanted to see on the video and the particular songs we wanted to hear during the video. Overall, my husband and I, as well as my mom are very satisfied with Chris’ work and services. He is so down to earth and a pleasure to work with. I sure hope that I get to work with him again in the future.

Chris took our family photos when we had our new baby. He was great to work with. He was really patient and really good with trying to get the baby to smile and act natural for the camera. He took so many wonderful shots despite the fact that our baby wasn’t the most cooperative. He also had lots of good ideas as to where we should take the pictures as I had no clue as to what I wanted. We would totally recommend him for anyone interested in family photos!

we asked chris to take pictures for us for the holidays. me, my wife and my twin one yr old boys. it was a sunday and chirs worked with our schedule and it isn’t easy with twin boys. since we can’t really go far for long he scouted the area around our condo in the embarcadero san francisco. he used unusual angles and has a real fresh look to his shots. was really patient with the babies and gave instructions clearly. he had ideas and wasn’t like «what do YOU want to do» leaving it up in the air and wasting time.
the pictures after came out great. he understood how to use his equipment to the fullest to make simple but great photos. colors were great, we wore superman costumes and GIANTS gear so the color contrasted and came out magnificent! i usually share photos instantly on facebook but these photos i specifically didn’t want to share on facebook because they are so precious and valuable to us. chris did a great job capturing us and the boys for us to remember.
much appreciated chris… you are more of a photographer than a simple IT guy for me.

i used to get like 6 viruses on my pc at the same time and chris would be the one that fixed it for me so i call him my IT guy until i bought a Mac under his advice.

We found Chris from my husbands cousin. She was looking for a photographer and videographer for her April 2012 wedding, but Chris had plans already, so she recommend us to contact him. So I did and I don’t regret it at all. Chris did both video and pics for my September 2012 wedding. Hes very helpful and easy going. He respond to any questions that you have and he was easy to get along with. His price is very reasonable and he gives u a deal if u do both video and photos. His pictures turned out really nice and i love our engagement video. Highly recommend!!!

Chriz Photography, where do I begin? In planning my wedding, I made the silly mistake of thinking I didn’t need videography. In fact, it was the very first thing I crossed off my budget. Then, as I started seeing this amazing new style of cinematic wedding videos come out, I started to second guess my decision. As the months wore on and my wedding date got closer, I started to panic… I realized that I would totally regret not hiring a videographer for this day that we had planned for nearly 2 years. Since I had crossed videography off my budget, I was in kind of a bind… where would I find a QUALITY videographer within my budget so late in the game?
I stalked craigslist for weeks hoping to find the hidden gem… and boy did I find him in Chris Suen of Chriz Photography. We were able to work out a custom package that fit my budget and based on the couple videos he had up, I knew he had an eye for what I wanted! On the day of my wedding, Chris and his 2^nd shooter (my apologies for forgetting his name) arrived on time and ready to go. They immediately started shooting as we were getting ready and in no way interfered with our day – in fact, I really believe they enhanced it! Because Chris and his 2^nd man communicate via headpieces, they played an integral role in making sure my groom and I didn’t see each other before the ceremony.
Oh and the videos? AMAZING. I’ve gotten so many compliments on our highlight video and suspect the same for our newly released full video. Chris, THANK YOU! My only regret is not adding on more hours when you asked if I wanted you to stay longer – WHAT WAS I THINKING?! I whole-​heartedly recommend Chriz Photography!!!

As a designer by profession, I was quite picky on who we would hire to shoot our wedding and reception video. There are many videographers out there who charge like a professional but shoot like an amateur and their quality speaks for itself.
Then there is Chris (ChriZ Photography) who is an absolute professional in terms of dealing with his clients, walking them through the process and having an awesome portfolio of quality work on vimeo (
)…not to mention showing up to the venue on time as well as being prepared and ready to go.
We recently received our highlight video which my friends said looked like a music video. It excelled in terms of quality (HD), creativity and was simply well put together. Chris managed to incorporate the most important elements of both days (hindu wedding & reception) into a 5 minute video without missing a beat. The music was also synced up very well with dialogue and the video clips.
My wife and I highly recommend ChriZ Photography to anyone who is interested in professional work at a reasonable cost.

Chris was the photographer for my traditional Chinese hair ritual, the ceremony took place the night before my wedding. He did an excellent job at capturing the moments with different perspective and delivered very quickly with awesome pictures. I really like his style and would highly recommend him if you want a great photo session done. He’ll do an excellent job for you.

We hired Chris for our wedding videography. It was one of our best decisions in choosing the vendors.
Chris has a solid plan of how he will shoot our wedding since our first interview. I really like someone who has a plan rather than ‘let’s see how it goes’ because I know exactly what I signed up for when I interviewed Chris. And I did asked him for all the details before I signed up. He described in details of how and what angles he will shoot, what equipment he will use, how to avoid the common technical problems etc. He has everything well thought out and planned. He already has many experience shooting for another wedding videographer, so he knows the game plan well. And I leanred alot about videography, including some effects, distortions, zooming, movement etc, from him at the end of our interview. :-)
Chris also shoot our love story video to show during the reception. It was nicely done. He listened to how we wanted the story to be told and he also has his ideas and plans so he is doing more than his fair share of work. He put extra time for us in preparing, shooting and editing for this 5 min video. And he adjusted every single thing we requested. It can’t be any better.
On our wedding day, he followed us the whole day and capture many candid moments. He was friendly and fun to hang out with too. He also has a plan of his own for a highlight video scenes to go with the song. So, the flow is nice and story-​telling.
His editing style is modern and fun. He has good moderns songs in his catalog. He gave us suggestions on what songs to use in our video based on the ones we had in mind. He is someone who can really work with your needs. I can’t involve in describing all details of what I want in the video (like songs, scenes …), but I can trust him that he’ll fit them in nicely.
The first time we got the wedding DVD, we watched it like 3 times in a row start to finish, and we are already very very happy with the video. He still offered us a few review cycles to make it perfect for us.
For both wedding video and love story, Chris spent tons of editing time unproportional to the amount he was charging to make us absolutely happy. He considered all our requests and made sure we were satisfied for everything we requested. He is very patient since the beginning interview, through the shooting, editing and editing again. He is sort of a perfectionist and will make the video perfect until he is satisfied with his work on his own as well. So you can count on him that he will not give you a crappy job just to get it done. He put lots and lots of time to make our video perfect. The quality and his attention to details are impeccable for the amount he charged us.
I would not have hired someone else for our videography. We ended up watching our videos again and again many times still these days. In fact, we watched our wedding video more frequent than the pictures. Chris really captured the whole day event and fun lively memories (with sounds) I would not have remembered otherwise.

I recently hired Chris for a family photo session at my home. He did a great job taking pictures of my family. He has lot of patience with kids and took great care in capturing the emotions of my family. Taking pictures of a very active 10 month old is not easy task. In spite of that, his photos came out to be great and all my friends and family are raving about them.
