I just had the best 1-​day service ever! Mimi does the best with alterations (hemmed my pants and delivered early!)

I have had only positive experiences with Mimi and her company. Today (Sunday, when they’re closed), Mimi went above and beyond when she answered the phone and stayed open so I could run down and pick up my laundry. Thank you!

I have been Mimi’s costumer for over 25 years. I would never take my dry-​cleaning anywhere else. They take great care. Over the years they have kept up and gone green. A family run business by hard working people.

Mimi is wonderful, gracious and ensures that clothes are well cared for. Her prices are also extremely reasonable. And she is open early and stays late — incredibly hard working. A gem.

Alas, after having many positive experiences with Think Clean cleaners, they garbled an order badly and weren’t able to make it right.
I had dropped off my husband’s winter coat to have the pockets repaired. It was supposed to be back on Thursday. We were leaving town on Saturday. I went to pick it up on Friday, and not only it wasn’t ready but it had been sent out to be sewn off-​site and they couldn’t get it back before Monday. They said, oh just take a different coat — oh, well you know we thought you wouldn’t need it on time –oh, well maybe you can leave for your trip on Monday instead… Um, no.

After numerous lost items, not taking responsibility for lost items then a month later telling me they found them when denying point blank they were missing, final straw when picking up dry cleaning today they are putting in new machines without protecting people’s dry cleaning. There are tools everywhere the place smells like oil and when getting the cleaning which cost over $ 300 it was dragged all across the dirty floor and tools. No More.

I was, and am, astonished at the complete failure of this place to meet basic expectations of a dry cleaner. I expect a dry cleaner to get my clothes back to me when they say they will, in good condition.
I dropped off ten items, I was promised that they would be ready at 3 the next day. I checked in at noon the day there were supposed to be ready, and the 3pm pickup time was confirmed (I had to leave town at 4:00). I arrived at 4:00 to pick up my clothes and then waited at least five minutes for the business owner to finish what she was doing and actually help me. After ten minutes or so of poking around the place, they told me my half of my clothes were «in the machine now». The message was undercut somewhat because I could see the other worker putting them into the machine while the owner was talking.
I took the half of my clothes that were ready, an hour after the time I was told they would be ready, and they proceeded to try and charge me for all ten. I then had to stop the owner and insist that I would not be paying in advance for the half that wasn’t done yet.
That would have been enough to make me never go back here, but there was a worse surprise waiting for me when I got home. The cleaner ID tags, instead of being threaded through the button holes or attached in any reasonable way, were pinned through the fabric of the shirt in a completely visible location. MY SHIRTS NOW HAVE HOLES IN THEM.
Even if these cleaners became the only option in town, offered coupons, or started cleaning for free, I wouldn’t take my clothes back here. Past the bad service and broken promises, damaging my clothes is the opposite of what I pay a cleaners for.
Update: Went to pick up the rest of my clothes, was even MORE disappointed. Rude service, and one of my shirts looked like they’d let a dog lay on it. COVERED in hair. I got halfway to the card and turned around to get it fixed. Another one looked like it had been ironed by someone who was half asleep, with giant wrinkles pressed into the front and sleeves. They took out the wrinkles on the front and brought it back with the sleeve and collar wrinkles still there. I’m taking it home this way, I’ll just be sure to take it to a better cleaner’s next time.

Your go-​to cleaners for everything. Alterations are on point and cleaning service is excellent. Mimi is the best in Mill Valley. Can’t go wrong with same day or next service if in a rush.

The owner is super sweet and I’m always happy with the service here. My clothes are cleaned and ready to be picked up in a timely manner. I would definitely suggest this cleaners to my friends.

Dropped off 7 – 8 shirts on a Tuesday. These guys cleaned all of them by Saturday no questions asked. #hooked

this place is great. I take my theatre company’s costumes to them for weekly cleaning. the actors like knowing that the clothes are cleaned without dangerous chemicals, and i never hear complaints about allergies they way i do with traditional dry cleaners. once, through a mistake on our part, the clothes weren’t ready when we needed them for a performance. the staff there rushed around, pulled things out of the machine the instant it was done, pressed them as quickly as possible — totally saved the show! probably not as a cheap as a place that will do them by the pound by sending them to a big cleaning plant, but that’s okay by me.

I really like Think Green. I always see the same friendly faces and the quality of dry cleaning and wash and fold is great. And they are Eco-​friendly. Keep up the good work!

I really want to like Think Clean but they have just messed up too many times. First, they lost a sweater of mine the day before a big trip and then double charged me for it upon my return. Then, I had a very lovely blouse with a grease stain on it. When I asked if their «green method» would be able to remove the stain she said «No problem» but then didn’t mark the stain area. Brought the shirt home and the stain was still there. They were very apologetic, offered to clean again at no cost. Got the shirt home and the shirt is RUINED. There is a *large* bleached out area where the stain used to be. It’s unwearable.
I love the idea of non-​perc dry cleaning but only if it works. Moral of this story: Think Clean is good for when the job is a low maintenance dry cleaning and when you have a few extra days for them to find your clothes.

Not going back here — Ever. It takes a long time for them to find the clothes — be ready to wait at least 20 minutes while they search. That is, IF they can find your clothes — they just lost four of my items this week. When I received my last dry cleaning order, nothing seemed cleaned at all. What are they doing in there?

they returned my clothes in nice little plastic wrappers quickly. i got home… they weren’t cleaned and the buttons were not fixed on my sweater. the pins were still glaring where the buttons should go… how did they miss that when wrapping the clothes in plastic? it made me think they just don’t clean a lot of their clothes.
i took them back and the owner did apologize, clean and sew on the buttons that day. i appreciate that, but i won’t go back.

I love that Marin has an option to choose safe, non-​toxic dry cleaning. Not only is it better on our bodies or on our beds, but it is so much better for the environment.
I’ve been a fan for at least 5 years. I just noticed the low rating & felt I had to do something to help bring it up. I have had nothing at all to complain about.

I used to go here because I didn’t know any better. It was next to the laundromat and the Korean laundry lady was friends with the Asian owners of this dry cleaning spot. Don’t I want to support the Asian community here? Yes. Will I be coming back here, especially since they just «went green» and their process is enviro-​friendly? Not likely. 1) I’ve been quoted two different prices for cleaning the same item (which is weird). 2) I dropped off my fancy pleated dress and it came back ironed out and straight, as in I-​never-​saw-​a-​pleat-​in-​my-​life straight. I was pretty devastated.

This is the place to go in Marin for dry cleaning. They have a new machine that uses a non-​toxic cleaning agent… so clothes now do not have that typical «dry cleaning» smell. Mimi (owner) is also a great seamstress… fast, quick, environmentally friendly (no perc)…what else do you want?
