Specialties
The First Base Foundation believes every student athlete should have equal opportunities to pursue higher education and/or play professional sports regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic background.
Our vision is to make travel baseball more affordable, and to provide more student athletes with the opportunity to become «California Warriors». By advocating and providing recruitment assistance for our players, we are creating successful futures. The California Warriors project increases opportunities for underserved youth, gets student athletes on track for college, and retains our talent pool of young professionals in the Bay Area.
Our foundation teaches student athletes that a college education is within their grasp, not only academically, but also financially. Players do not have to make a decision between playing baseball or attending college — Both are possible.
Our coaching staff provides assistance with the college baseball recruitment process by matching baseball players with the types of programs where they have the potential to succeed.
We run a summer internship and apprenticeship program for college and high school students. This program provides training and skill development to our future business leaders.
Over the past 11 years, the First Base Foundation has served over 4,500 student athletes in our Marin Travel Baseball Program, and 100% of our student athletes go to college. Join Our Program Today!
