History

Established in 2012.

This clinic is designed to support the 6u-​12u age groups using various skills assessments, age appropriate conditioning and instructional drills.

Coach Partee, a former varsity softball coach, joined the Marin Tremors in 2012 to encourage the younger generation of softball players. She brings with her a great enthusiasm for the sport, countless hours of coaching experience, innovative new ideas and a regular group of high school volunteers.

Most weeks there is a 2:1 ratio of kids to volunteers, which gives the unique opportunity to bond and learn from high school students. A lot of emphasis is placed on throwing mechanics, at this age it is very important to ingrain how to throw properly to prevent injuries. We also cover fielding drills for both IF/​OF, base running, conditioning, some batting and introduce various base running situations.

Manager

Coach Partee has been running our 6u-​12u Fall Clinics for 2 full sessions. She grew up in Marin County and played softball as her primary sport from the time she was old enough to be on the field. She started coaching Varsity Softball at the high school she attended, SRHS, in 2010 and assumed the head coach position in 2011. She brought the Bulldogs to the Championship game against San Marin in 2013, to make the teams first appearance in the MCAL post season in almost 10 years.

Recently, she stepped down from her position at SR to plan her upcoming wedding! She plans to continue working with the Tremors Youth Programs and inspiring young girls to continue to play softball.
