Blizzard Auto Air came and fixed the car’s AC at a cost of $ 1,000. I was told the labor warranty is One Year. Two days later, the AC stopped working and was blowing ambient air. They came back to fix it again at no cost. The next day, the AC stopped working again. I am having difficulty scheduling a mutually convenient time for them to come back since they are asking for 5 hours to work on the car. Because of that, my husband will have to take a 2 hour bus ride to work.
PLUS, Blizzard wants an additional $ 1200. That reflects a $ 500 discount. And you know they want it in cash just like the first payment.
I can understand every repair has complications but 3 times to me is unacceptable. Why they didn’t find the problem in the first or second repair is beyond me. Charging me for labor is unfair to me. Shouldn’t this be covered under their labor warranty?
I’m not letting them touch my car ever again. I have turned my car over to Polar AC in Pearl City instead.

So after the 2^nd repair, the AC worked for one day. The 2^nd repair was at no additional cost. By the next day, it was back to blowing in ambient air. We called Blizzard Auto Air to have them come back and fix it.
First of all, due to their schedule and our schedule, they can’t come for 3 days. they say they’ll need 5 hours to work on the car. They think there is another leak elsewhere and will need to dismantle my dashboard. And they are quoting me an additional $ 1200, after giving me a discount of $ 500. That would be a grand total of $ 2200!
I asked Brett what is the warranty on labor and he replied 1 year. But looking at the receipt, it says 90 days. Although I am well within the 90 days, I don’t understand why there is a conflicting information. I can understand that every repair might require a second job, but three?!! And they want to charge me additional labor!!!
I am not a happy customer. I have lowered their rating from 4 to 3 and now to 1.
Update: on 3÷11÷2014, Al tells me on the phone that they will need to go through the dashboard to further fix my AC. Why they didn’t do it the first or second time, IDK! And they want to charge me $ 1700 but will give me a $ 500 discount. I told Al to talk to my husband on the phone and Al said it was late and so Al will call the next morning. 3÷12÷2014 … He has not called. Not wanting to give them another dime and not confident in their service, I called Polar AC Pearl City instead. The owner Shane came over in an hour to take a look. Shane took my car to his shop and will do the job for $ 1200.

I needed to replace the compressor in my old Astrovan and Brett was super helpful and friendly. I bought the van without the a/​c working so I wasn’t 100% sure exactly what needed to be done but Brett did some quick checks and confirmed my thinking that the compressor required replacement. He also recommended renewing some other parts (drier and cycling switch) which made perfect sense from my research and my own knowledge/​experience being a moderate DIYer on my cars.
It wasn’t an all-​in-​one thing, but that’s expected having an older van and a more major job. He had to pick up some parts after doing the initial check so he came over again the next day to do the install. The total job was probably 3 hours spread over the two visits.
The final price was very competitive and right in line with his initial quote. But the best part really was the convenience of it. Being a mobile operation, they come to you! So no need sorting out rides, etc. to leave your car somewhere, taking it there, waiting to pick it up, etc. The other benefit being a car guy myself is I could watch him work, ask questions and learn.
From this experience, I highly recommend Blizzard Auto as reliable and trustworthy guys for getting your A/​C running perfectly.

We had him come to Kailua on a Sunday with no problem. The diagnostic is $ 40, with the cost going toward the repair if you decide to go forward with it. The owner was prompt and called us back Monday with the prices on parts– it was great to know what was wrong without having to go to a repair shop!
