Blees Piano Service offers piano tuning, repairing, regulating, voicing, and rebuilding. Wim Blees has over 50 years experience working on all makes and models of pianos, from small spinet to concert grands. His service area is all of Oahu and Kauai.
History
Established in 1977.
Wim Bees is a third generation piano technician. He started working on pianos in his father’s workshop when he was 12 years old. After teaching band and choral music in several Illinois schools, he started his own piano service business in St. Louis in 1977. During his 23 years in St. Louis, he operated a piano rebuilding shop as well as a piano retail store. In 2001 he became the piano technician for the School of Music at the University of Alabama. In 2007 he and his wife Janet moved to Hawaii to continue his career in piano service.
