Good sized Smith’s that is well-stocked with plenty of different food options. Great meats selection, and I love that they are one of the only grocers around where I can buy ground lamb, because here’s a hint– if you use half lamb and half beef in your burgers, they taste 10X better and lamb is better for you. Sad with the lack of ethnic(Middle Eastern and Thai specifically) food options they have here compared to the Smith’s I would go to in Orem. I will say that their grab and go sushi is the best grocery store sushi I’ve ever had! It’s even better than a lot of sushi that is getting made in some of the sushi and Japanese restaurants around town. This store stays pretty clean, and the staff is helpful. This is a good place to go if you are not looking for specialty items.

This one is one I’ve historically had some difficulty coming to terms with… it has always felt a bit scuzzy, but it looks like they’re recently remodeled it a bit, which makes it somewhat nice and the bathrooms were clean, though finding them took a bit of walking. No pumps at this location, but it did have self-checkout, though that was a bit of a cattle call. Frankly, this one is much too reminiscent of the mess on 4100 S. and Redwood for comfort… only without the redeeming pumps. Will do in a pinch, but not one of the better representatives of the franchise.

Not that they’ve won me over, but I do seem to be stopping in here more often these days. And now that I’ve gotten to know it, it’s grown on me a bit. But I’m not sure it can do much more growing. The produce section isn’t making me shout for joy. It’s okay. Not nearly enough organics to choose from, but you’ve got all your basic green things covered. I do like the meat section – you can cruise for deals every so often. As a fella eating more meat these days, it’s nice to have that option. The layout drives me batty, though. It’s too spread out. The one end has junk food(chips, crackers, soda, cookies, etc.) and then a massive span of non-foods, followed by food on the other end. I don’t get the junk too often, but it’s a pain to hoof it all the way down there for one little item. Self-checkout gets a big plus from me – 6 registers means I hardly ever wait. But leaving the parking lot is a pain if you want to go west on 7200. You’ll wait forever.

Customer service is great. Everyone that works there is really helpful and friendly. Prices are good too.

On a recent trip I heard a bakery employee get off the phone with a customer and complain loudly to a customer in the store about how annoying it was that the person on the phone wouldn’t just order online.(The nerve of someone to phone in and expect customer service!) When I made it to the cashier and asked how she was doing she responded, «I’m pretty sick of this place.» Well, I guess that makes two of us.

This is a nice looking market but the service SUCKS! Every time I go in this place I have to wait a long time in line. Today they had one«15 items or less express line» open and some prick with about 100 items beat me to the line. I had one item and I wanted to purchased Utah State Fair tickets. I went to another line where this Hispanic lady covered in tattoos was the cashier and she had a piss poor attitude. I wanted to ask customer service a question when I first entered the store but the girl behind the counter LOVES to hear herself talk. After waiting in line for 5 minutes I gave up. In all, it took me 20 minutes to buy one item and two state fair tickets. The girl at the customer service counter was«helping» the same guy the whole time I was in the store, RIDICULOUS! This is typical of this store and the sad thing is that I ALWAYS go in the middle of the day on a weekday when the store isn’t busy. The selection is decent, they have good sales pretty regularly, other Smith’s are pretty good, but this one SUCKS! They need better employees, more employees, and they need to fire about half the idiots working there especially that moron girl that works the customer service desk.

this is my ‘go to’ grocery store when whole foods, sunflower market and sam’s club are closed. open 24 hours a day. newly remodeled. decent produce. still leery of their seafood section. self check-out is the best(i’ve always wanted to be a grocery bagger, and now i am!). overall: A– with its new clean look and boosted selection(in some areas), i’d like to think of myself as a ‘fan’.
