6 Reasons why our experience with Safelite of Midlothian, VA was not positive:
1) We had an appointment @ 11AM all the paperwork we received said the work would be completed within 90 minutes. This was to replace the rear window w/​wiper on a Mini.
2) Call #1 stated the wiper blade could not be removed, not given any option but to remove the arm. Did not give technician carte blanche to break anything else.
3) Call #2 was to inform us that the replacement window was not on the 11AM run from the warehouse and it was HOPED that the glass would be on the 1PM run.
4) We did not hear anything so at 4PM called and was told it was not ready.
5) We finally got a call about 5:50PM that it was ready.
6) Called to talk to manager about the damage/​repairs, person answering phone didn’t id themselves, didn’t ask why I wanted to talked to the manager and hung up on me.
UPDATE: The manager of this SafeLite worked with us and we got total reimbursement for the cost of repairs. We appreciate how much he did, we only expected a partial reimbursement so it was a pleasant surprise.

My insurance company arranged for Safelite to replace windshield on my Mercedes at home with their mobile shop. The Safelite office called me first to ensure that they ordered the correct glass with the proper tint and rain sensor. The technician, Richard, called early in the day to confirm his arrival time at my home.
I was very pleased with the installation. As expected, they informed me that the windshield was «after market» and not genuine Mercedes glass. Except for the missing Mercedes sticker, it appeared to be an exact match to the original glass and of good quality.
Richard was very careful to protect my car during the windshield replacement which took about 90 minutes. He was very courteous and explained the whole process while working. I would not hesitate to use Safelite again.

Have to admit I had dealt with many body shops and glass repair over the years. This was painless and the technician was very easy to work with. He called as he had an earlier opening and offered it. Then he notified me that he was at the location looking at the car.
He worked on it and folks noticed him outside and commented that he really focused on getting it done and that he made sure to be careful of the car. It wasn’t a Lexus or BMW… Just a Sonata but he took great care in getting it done.
**This was far different from Woods Automotive where I was finding glass in my SUV for days after they ‘fixed it’.

Very efficient and courteous. Explained the repair and answered our questions with no problem. The only negative thing is the road is easy to miss, then you have to make a couple of u turns. Other than that, it was a pretty good experience.

I don’t know which location came out to my house to fix my windshield, but I’m going to guess this one since it’s closest to where I live. The first time I ever got a rock in my windshield on my Explorer, my insurance recommended I use this place and I went with their suggestion because I didn’t know any better. When the guy came out to put a seal on the crack, it looked like he didn’t do anything to it after he was done working on it. I wasn’t expecting perfection, but I at least expected it to look a little better than before. My son’s friend asked how I got a gun shot in my glass when he got in our car. This place is crrrrrrap with a rolling R. If you want your car to look gangsta, by all means call this place. My explorer has since died, but I got a crack in my BMW windshield, and I found an amazing old guy named Mike Fine, at Fine windshield repair. This guy did an amazing and I’ve called him again since.

Staff was very courteous, the wait was a bit long though so make sure you have something to do to keep you busy. The 700 club was on and was up pretty loud.
