The best large pork chop is the best in the world but fries not so hot should be fresh cut. Ribeye sandwich good as well, both very tender. Weekends and some evenings will have you standing in line in the parking lot but it moves fast. Good fast service.

I ordered the pork chop which is what they are famous for. I’m not a pork chop guy so I won’t knock them for that but I should have got the ribs. The service is one of the best I’ve seen in the mid-west. I was given a first timer discount. My food got to my table before I did, literally. They close the kitchen at 8PM and go rollable to table to ensure no one wants anything before they close it. For a restaurant where you order at the register I’ve never seen that.

We live a block away and come here fairly often for carryout. When my family members come over and visit, this place is the one that every family member remembers. The pulled pork sandwich is to die for and my wife loves the portobello mushroom sandwich. Over the last few years, we have ordered the ribeye steak sandwich, the chicken sandwich, the pulled pork sandwich, the double bacon cheeseburger, and nearly all the sides. Everything is beyond GOOD. There is nothing not to like. You won’t be disappointed when you come here.

Porkchops and rib tips were smokey, tender and huge. Service was amazing! We got our food by the time we got our beverages and sat at table. Clean family restaurant. Will definitely be back.

I can’t even. If you like to eat — and I don’t mean if you’re a foodie, but if you like to EAT — Hog Wild is a must.

Service is almost instant and it is not very often that I say this but literally everything on their menu is amazing. The menu contains an array of BBQ and grilled delights! I LOVE the brisket and I also really enjoy their grilled steak sandwich! They are also huge portions for the amount of money! They’ve been seen on several T.V. stations and are becoming very famous, very homey and southern, needless to say one of the best BBQ places in Illinois!

I don’t usually give 5 for any place but you have to try this place… fantastic pot roast, meatloaf and bbq… reasonable price, always busy but worth the small wait… give this local favorite a shot

My first time at Hod Wild for Mothers Day. The atmosphere and service was great. I had an order of Rib Tips which was at my table before I could get my drink at the soda fountain. FAST. Ribs were delicious. Well worth the 5 minute wait in line.

The food was great and service was lightning fast! Portions are huge! I had the ribs and the meat just fell off the bone. Pork chops were grilled to perfection and were tender and juicy. We will be back!

We love hog wild, aside from easy parking, always being seated quickly and very friendly staff the food is awesome. They have this porkchop that is huge– I would always over cook this– but it’s always tender and juicy. The ribs are good, but the pulled pork and the brisket are very very good. Lots of options for the kids and bill is never too high. We would always recommend to anyone out our way.

The pork chops are huge, well seasoned and grilled to perfection. This was good eating. The menu offers lots of variety, almost too much, but a good reason to keep coming back. The parking lot is small but the prices are perfect. I have to drive a bit to get here but once I’m seated and eating it’s all good from there. Make ya truly wanna go «HOGWILD!!!»

I have been there twice already. Pork chops are delicious, Apple sauce although cold has a very nice homemade flavor, can’t wait to visit again. Pros: Food is very good, so far, and good portions. Cons: Having to wait for a long time, unless you come with a big group and they might offer you a table. Cash only.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive place to take the family look no further, you won’t find a shortage of pork here! So theres a bunch of menus located around the ordering area, so it kinda gives you an idea of what to order. We went on a Sunday afternoon and waited in line to order like 10 mins, we were seated shortly afterwards. The décor has you feeling like you’re in a log cabin or in the woods. I had the spicy chicken sandwich combo, it was amazing! It had a grilled chicken tender with portobello mushrooms, i loved how each table comes with barbecue sauces you can add to your burger/ribs/briskets. I wasn’t really blown away with the fries but the burger was super delicious. Also gotta love a restaurant where you can still get unlimited drinks! In general go visit this place, truly a must !

This is one of those places where you walk in and you see a huge menu on the wall and then you go to the counter and order. It also looks kind of like a saloon as its quite wood-esque. The menu is basically centered around pork which is a good thing and my mom was in the mood for it. Walked up to the counter and placed our order and they gave us the number to our seats. Not even 30 seconds later, we were about to sit down and her food came out. She ordered a rib platter and I assume that they make so many of them, they had a slab ready to go once the order was yelled to the back. My dish came a minute later as I ordered the prime rib sandwich with mozzarella, onions & peppers… pretty decent! Menu is very inexpensive and has lots of good options

Well that didn’t go well… I’ve never been to a fast casual spot that has you standing in line expecting to walk up and order, but you have to give your order to a less than friendly employee before walking up to a cashier and seeing the specials or menu. I asked if they had brewed tea and was told yes only to learn it’s a syrup. My food was mysteriously already sitting at my table by the time I got there. How is that even possible? I went in early before the dinner rush, but they must have the pork roast dinners already plated and the young food runners zip the food out and just leave it sitting there. Now mind you… if you have any issues be sure to seek out a manager, as the runners don’t have time to be bothered with problems. They don’t seem to train their staff how to properly fill a pepper shaker. They pack them so tight nothing comes out. Then the young busboys will discipline you for opening them and spilling pepper all over your meal. Pork roast was dry as a bone and the only flavor came from the gravy. Not a fan of their BBQ sauce. Third of the potatoes were good a third hard and a third mush? Corn cob was soaking in the gravy and smothered in pepper now too. I asked for a to-go box and a new ear of corn wrapped in foil and I was expected to pay $ .55? I tried a private message on but only received excuses and blame passed onto me for not asking for a manager. The 16 yr old girls can’t be expected to seek out a manager. I shop small family businesses 95% when dining out. This family has a lot to learn in my book and stop with the excuses and just address the issues. Apologize, make note of your mistakes and what action will be taken to avoid such basic problems in the future. You’ll never know who the mystery wizard is behind their page, as I asked twice with no responce or name given. I should have taken the recent 1 star review and responce it received to heart and avoided a visit. I had them bookmarked for the longest time and was so looking forward to being blown away. #epicfail

I love everything about this place! When you walk in, the menu is on the wall, so you can decide what you want before going on the line. I usually opt for the pork chop or pork tenderloin with green beans and oven browns! And they do not disappoint. The meat is very flavorful, and I appreciate the fact that they have sauce separate on the table, because I am not a big fan of the sweet bbq(gasp!). I think they have two kinds of bbq sauce, you just need to ask for it! I also really like the oven browns a lot. Perfect crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, and it’s seasoned so well! Yesterday(Thursday) we also got the chicken gumbo, which was delicious! Did not miss the seafood at all. All this food for under 30 $? Can’t beat the price! The service is lightning fast. I mean which other restaurants will have food on your table before you even sit down?!

Best pork chop I have ever had. Pork chops are as big as your face, thick and nicely seasoned. Although there is only one BBQ sauce, it’s all you need. The macaroni & cheese was creamy with a baked layer of cheese on top. I was really impressed with my dinner at this very casual spot. It’s cash only. There’s a line, but it moves fast. There’s even a golf cart, aka«free shuttle» in the event that their small parking lot is full. The inside of the restaurant has a cabin-like feel. Tables are positioned pretty close together, but it isn’t too loud and you can still have a conversation with your dining companions. There’s nothing I didn’t like about Hog Wild. Definitely a contender for one of the best BBQ spots in the ‘burbs.

quality of the food is consistent: steaks are extremely good with the garlic butter, red potatoes are nice with butter and onions, the baked beans are good as well with prices of hot dogs added , Staff is friendly Need to clean the bathroom more often tho !
