Aura

After staying at the Sybaris for about the same cost I would never go back to Aura.
We stayed in the bliss room. It was very clean and modern but I found it really weird that the toilet has no door and you can be seen using the bathroom from the bed. I really prefer to poop in privacy and I don’t care to see or hear my boyfriend use the bathroom. That was just really awkward. The shower was the best part of the room. It was awesome. BUT if you are going to spend the money go get a pool room at the Sybaris. You can’t even compare the two places. I will not return to Aura ever again.

I was impressed by the cleanliness and modern look at Aura, me and wife needed a little getaway and relaxation from our everyday routine and we were very happy we chose this place. The receptionist was very professional and the lobby was very sleek. As soon as you walk in their facility you can smell a fresh and welcoming scent. We live closer to the Franklin Park location but we will definitely give this place another visit soon.

Buttttttttttt I can’t say they’re 5 stars because they hassle the hell of you to stay here! My 1^st attempt at staying here was TERRIBLE to say the least! 1^st off I got the Luxe room which is most expensive, you’d think they’d cater to you seeing how expensive the room is, well nope they didn’t they acted as if I was staying at the White house!!! I came and checked in with my female friend and we went into the room, 20 mins into us changing about to go to the club (mind u we live an hour away) security calls saying we can’t have guests in the room. I explain that we’re changing clothes leaving and she’s not staying, but we live hours away. Security doesn’t give a rats ass and makes us leave. I was soooooo PISSED OFF!!! We spent all this money for nothing. We did get the money back later tho.
2^nd attempt to stay here, getting the same room spending the same 3 – 400 bucks, I was told I was on their banned list, couldn’t stay and needed to contact the manager. OMG AM I PISSED OFF NOW!!! Called the manager that following week, explained the previous incident and he was cool he understood, he lifted my restrictions and gave me a 10% credit I think.
3^rd attempt FINALLY GOT MY FREAK ON IN HERE!!! CTFU The room was HUGE. Duplex style. We had a ball up in here!!! I’d go back.

I would highly recommend this place. My Fiancé’ and I went to Aura for a night away and it was just what we needed. The staff was extremely nice and offered to help with anything we needed. The room was very clean and we will be back. I read many reviews before booking a room and had seen some people complain, but after coming here for myself I really dont understand why there was any negative reviews about Aura because our experience was very pleasant and we were treated very well.

It was just great first class service from when we checked in at the front Desk.
The atmosphere was great. and the C. S was very nice.
And when We walked into the room it was so sexy and smelled so good. Everything was just right in its place.
It was just what the Dr. Ordered.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Room service was great
No complainants about anything.
The mini refrigerator was nice and cold.
We order out (beggers pizza) it was delivered fast and hot and straight to our door.
The pizza and hot wings was very good.
Overall this was a great pick for us.
We had a wonderful time
We did not hear anything from other rooms.
We left a tip.
And check out was for 12pm
I’m very sure that we will be back again
We loved it.

BEAUTIFUL… Simply beautiful. I wanted to plan an event for me and my husband to get away for the weekend and I went online and I saw something it said very cool room so I went on their website and I found this place .I was very pleased and so was my HUSBAND .I had gotten the LUXE which had 2 floors it was Amazing .The staff was nice .But by far it was much needed time to just enjoy one another. And in the room that I had it had a SEX chair which allowed you to try different positions. We most definitely will be returning very SOON…

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate his birthday. The room was nice and clean, the staff was great, its a very quiet, hush, hush secure place, but the walls are paper thin, so in the middle of the night I woke up and heard numerous people moaning and screaming and all kinds of other strange sounds. The shower and the jacuzzi tub were great. My boyfriend thought the place was just okay, I liked it, but I probably won’t be coming back. Its a lot of great places to eat at that are really close by. When you check in on Unilocal you get a free bottle of champange and If its your first time staying you get a 10% off coupon… SCORE!

Do you need to be a member to book a room??? I’ve been on the site but every time I go to book a room it ask if I have a membership…

Let me first start off by saying that this place is amazing!!! Beautiful rooms, very pleasant staff, and reasonable pricing on rooms!!! The lux is top notch! First floor huge hot tub, walk in shower with two steamers, upstairs living room and amazing sleeping /​you know what area… Only thing I have found wrong is that the cable channels are not in high def, the adult channels are clear but other channels fuzzy… Rooms are. Rey clean, plenty of towels, if you need anything you call and it is delivered quickly. Great selection of liquor products. They run 4,8,and over night pricing, will visit again

I love going here. My boyfriend and I have tried every single room. No complaints. I’m glad Aura finally upgraded the memberships so the members can get rewarded for constantly visiting. Aura is definitely better than Ambiance.

This was my first visit to Aura. I booked the Luxe room during the week for my Husband’s birthday. Check in and ck out went well for me. The grounds and room were clean and pretty much as pictured. I have high quality taste, high expectations and was pleased with our stay as well as the value for ur dollar. The hot tub and steam shower worked out well for us! We really enjoyed the space. I had my Husbands attention w the gift of Aura. This company may b the best in the area. We would def return one day.

The Pros:
As compared to Ambiance in Franklin Park, the curb appeal is much better, and the parking lot is more secure. My boyfriend & I stayed in the Luxe suite, which is their largest, nicest room. We were immediately impressed with the style of the room and cleanliness, fired up a movie on the plasma screen tv, and jumped right in the hot tub. The bed was comfortable. There were not price tags on items as there are at Ambiance.
The Cons:
The hot tub was too hot to stay in for more than 10 minutes at a time, even after we turned the temp down (the temp never actually decreased). Even though we requested a DVD Player, there wasn’t one in the room (The front desk actually called us an hour after we checked in, asking if we still wanted one; we brought our own just in case, so we didn’t have one delivered). Since we were staying on a Sunday night, we called it a night pretty early, at 11PM. At 11:30, we feel/​hear this very loud banging sound. I called the front desk after the 6^th time it happened and he went over to check it out. He knocks on my door to tell me that it’s the maid staff cleaning the room under ours, and that the door is frozen so they have to slam it shut. The slamming continued another 15 – 20 times over the next hour, along with vacuuming and general talking. Shortly after that, our neighbors checked in and had their TV/​Music on blast until about 4AM. Someone kept knocking on our door all night, and shaking our door handle. After a solid 3 hours of sleep, we decided to check out 5 hours before we had to, because we were so tired and uncomfortable. The front desk staff seemed apologetic for our issues, and said they would make a note on our account for our next stay. However, we will not be staying at Aura or Ambiance again.
Some tips for Aura staff/​ownership: Program volume restrictions on the TVs in the rooms; Have maid staff only cleaning during day time hours; Put cameras near the doors and have the front desk monitor entry and exit from the rooms (this would prevent people from having parties –which i suspect our neighbors were– and people trying to get into rooms that aren’t their’s); Supply ear plugs for all guests.

The place is nice. It’s in the middle of nowhere. I decided to take my wife as a local get away. The place is very clean and smells like chlorine. When we left, our clothes smelled like chlorine too.
I felt like this place was not a place for a married couple. I felt like it was a place people go to in order to have affairs or things like that… that’s just my opinion. I’d rather had gone to a nice hotel and paid for that. We were going to stay two nights but ended up only staying one. The staff was nice and nothing went wrong, it just wasn’t a place for us.

If you want to have a romantic getaway but stay close at home, then this place is just for you. The place was extremely clean, that’s my #1 thing about these kind of places. The rooms that they have you choose from are very nice and modern. Beds are spacious and comfortable (they even mirrors above your bed, how awesome is that). In the front office, they even have beverages, alcohol and romantic «things» for you to purchase to enjoy your stay even better. The have different romance packages for you and your partner to get, they even have stripper poles that they can setup in your room (I think I’ll be getting that for my lady for our next visit). Such a relaxing place, I can’t wait for my next visit…

Looks OK from what information & confusing virtual tours that’s available on the website, but really no breakdown of the suites & cost. Not sure exactly what I’m getting. Oh well, time to call the Sybaris.

Well after staying at the Ambiance Suites in Franklin Park there really is NO comparison. My review on Ambiance Suites has been removed… Why I have no idea as it wasn’t mean spirited or nasty. It was the truth. Fast forward 4 months after Ambiance and going to AURA this past weekend. We stayed in the Bliss room. It was clean, and comfy. There is a hot tub for 2, neon lights that you can change the color of, a fireplace, mini waterfall on the wall, and candle like candles on the wall behind the bed. The front desk wasn’t very friendly and pushed paperwork. In fact they must of had people partying here because we were stuck signing a waiver indicating it would just be us in the room. Which it was. While you could probably throw a party here I wouldn’t suggest it because you will be out the money and kicked out. There are security cameras everywhere and a safe parking lot. Located conveniently off Cicero Ave. We went to the original pancake house and had BBQ at a place off 159^th. Awesome stay!

A great place to get a way from the hustle and bustle. Hourly rates as well as overnight stay. Very discreet and respectable! This place is very very suave and sexy!
