I wrote a review on Groupon but I don’t think it links onto Unilocal,so I decided to make a review here too the only reason why I’m even doing a second review is because I really did have an amazing experience.
This place is like 5 minutes from my house and I saw a Groupon so I said «why not try it?». I had the Groupon for about 2 months because I was being a baby lol I had never waxed before so I was scared, I can’t even lie about that lol.
So I finally decided to go, I called and told them I had a Groupon and made an appointment. The front desk girl is really nice, so then Gisele (the waxer) came out to greet me and showed me where to go. I told her it was my first time and she took her time to explain everything to me.
I felt so dumb to have waited so long because the pain wasn’t bad at all! I think that it had to do with Gisele, she has a really good hand and is very experienced at what she does. On a scale from 1 – 10 my pain was about a 4 (to have been my first time ever waxing that’s not bad!)
So yes I recommend this place! :) I will definitely be back!

I like it here. The staff is very nice. The owner always offers great coupons. The waxes are pretty much painless. The wax tech tries to make it a bearable experience. I would Definately recommend thus place to a friend.

They have a wonderful staff and I love the services for the few times I have come here. However, I gave this place 3 stars because they take their last client 30 mins before closing. I wish I knew from the website since I was rushing here to reach the closing time advertised which is 8pm.

The best place for waxing in North Miami. Great personal, friendly atmosphere. Good price and quality of service. I recommend for everyone one. Also the have specialist who is speaking Russian. I always do Brazilian bikini wax and always it’s 5 stars!!!

So this review is long overdue! I started coming to the Wax Spa sometime in June after purchasing a Groupon for 3 waxes for $ 32. I upgraded my bikini waxes to playboy bikini’s for just $ 4 more out of pocket each visit. I saved a total of $ 37 in all 3 visits. I can’t remember the name of the first person who waxed me but she was quick, thorough and professional. After that initial visit I started waxing with Giselle and I felt like I had hit the bikini wax jackpot so when I found out that Giselle wasn’t doing weekends anymore after religiously going every 3 weeks, I freaked out! but to my surprise I hit even a bigger jackpot with Caro! OMG, Caro is super sweet, gentle and extremely thorough. I’m on their 3 week program which means that if you pre-​book your appointments for every 3 weeks you’ll receive 20% off your visit. The prices are competitively priced and their service is superb! I’ve been going to the Wax Spa a little over 5 months and I LOVE and recommend this place.

I love WaxSpa. I originally discovered this place on Groupon. I got three waxes for pretty cheap over the summer and haven’t stopped coming back since. I live in downtown Miami and work in Miami Lakes, but still go out of my to get my waxes here every 3 weeks. Nicole is awesome. She makes waxing super quick and painless each time!

I went there today for a wax. I don’t always go here as it is a little out of my way in biscayne. But whenever I went they always do an ok not great job. I had bought a Goupon and called and gave my voucher number along with my voucher number the night before. I arrive and was a few minutes late and told I had to wait which was ok cause I was late. Then the owner (Russian guy that sits in front) told me that he does not see a voucher number. I told him to check with the girl who made my appointment. He proceeded to yell at me and tell there was no voucher number and he couldn’t understand why it was not there. I left because he was such a jerk. My point, don’t waste your time at a crappy place like this. The owner seems like he’s mad at the world and was mad at me cause he couldn’t find a voucher. Save your money and sanity and go to European wax spa across the street from there. They were sweet and took me five minutes after I left this devil’s dungeon. by the way your rude remarks below does not change how mean you were. I will not be abused by anyone. Not by you or anyone Boris. I arrived 10 min late for my appointment. I already told groupon of your unkind treatment of others. I don’t curse when I’m in a business. I simply walk away after I’ve made my peace. Do not ever try to undermine my comments or abuse me in my own page. It’s fun for you to abuse your customers. I will not put up with it. I’ve contacted better business bureau about your services. And I’ve told Unilocal how abusive you are to people. Your a mean owner with nothing better to do. Poor customer service. I was treated very badly over the phone and was hung up on. Wax Spa needs to fire and re-​think whom they allow to call future clients. Luckily, Groupon values people and their business. Wax Spa cannot not put that a voucher was redeemed without service and my acknowledgment for eyelash extensions and refill. I wouldn’t go to this place nor would I trust them with my eyes.

Horrible! Everything about this place. The business is run horribly. First off the «BRAZILIAN» wax is not a Brazilian wax at all. BEWARE GROUPON BUYERS. It’s just a way to reel you in to paying more. Groupon is a great way to reel in returning customers, but apparently the owner only cares for the sale of the voucher. Don’t plan on wearing a bikini after your «Brazilian wax» from here. They charge $ 14 EXTRA for the bikini line area and they leave the landing strip in their «Brazilian» wax. Last time I checked Brazilian wax meant the whole area clean, or AT LEAST bikini ready. That is not the case here. Add an additional $ 14 for bikini ready front (actual Brazilian) and $ 16 extra for the back strip plus the money you ALREADY paid on groupon. This place is a COMPLETE rip off. I’m disappointed groupon would even allow such a sneaky business to post «vouchers». I could not believe I was paying so much (approx. $ 30 plus tip) when I had already purchased their «coupon». And customer service? Don’t even get me started. Front desk associate is so rude. Worst experience. The owner clearly doesn’t care about having a client return, which sucks because I’m a local. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There’s a nice waxing place right across the street you’ll have better luck there, TRUST ME. Save yourself the trouble.

I only have done eyelash refill the technician is great! She’s amazing very sweet and does a great job! The place is reasonably priced.
Just some tips you have to prepay and make sure that you will make it to the appointment and not cancel because you may lose your money. Also, if you buy a Groupon make sure you tell them
The plus side to this place is the prices and the technicians are great
Only downside is you have to do allot of planning and prepaying and no room for changing so and make sure you read their print.

I went here because of the Groupon. It was a great deal with the Groupon. The Brazilian is not what a traditional Brazilian covers so I did have to pay $ 4 more. I had a friendly woman who allowed my daughter to be in the room with me as well. This is helpful for single moms who don’t have a sitter during personal grooming. The waxer did a great job. There was no stray hair left behind. The location is good as it is on Biscayne. Overall, I give it a thumbs up!

The place is very small but clean. I’ve been here a few times hoping for a better experience but every time it’s been the same. The people here are very cold and unfriendly, bordering on rude… especially the owner. They make an uncomfortable and intimate climate even more so. They also tend to be unnecessarily rough with the waxing if you ask me. I’d grow a forest before going back to this place.

GROUPON BUYERS BEWARE!!!
Will NEVER go back to this place again, the harshness of the owner and front desk girl and his «Regulations» as she called them to l lose one Groupon session because I was 8 minutes late for a 1:45 AND I CALLED ON MY WAY!!! I asked for a little consideration since my husband and I planned on bring regulars, got a flat no. I walked in the door 3 minutes later, since she said I could use my 3rd and LAST Groupon at 2:30…really? so since I was a MINUTE away I decided to sit there for the next 40 minutes… a man walked out 2 minutes later, and Giselle (very nice) said I will be right with you, and I went right in… NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE EVEN WHEN I LEFT!!! No clients or the therapist were affected, but they took away one Groupon for a few minutes late… uh uh, not right… their customer service is the Worse, and I do not spend my money to be treated like that, as I told the girl, you lost two clients (had my husband there already at FULL price, and scheduled him in 3 weeks) HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and I AM reporting this to Groupon

I didn’t feel comfortable when I walked in for the first time, but I was in a rush and thought I’d give it a try. I only had to wait for 2 – 3 minutes and the lady who did my Brazilian Waxing was friendly. What was kind of awkward was that I could hear the owner and other customers talking the whole time. If you are half naked and someone is putting hot wax on your hoo-​ha, you can’t quite relax if you have the feeling that 5 other people are in the same room with you.
A few weeks later I decided to give them a second chance and walked in without an appointment. I had to wait for 2 – 3 minutes again and this time a different lady was responsible for my waxing. She was extremely arrogant and not even smiled once. I felt SO uncomfortable! She did a terrible job and was pissed when I didn’t put my legs in the right angle in the beginning. She violently pressed them down (Hey! I am not THAT flexible!) and laughed when my legs started shaking. Then she made fun of my shirt (SERIOUSLY?!) and didn’t even put lotion or baby powder on the area when she was done.
This place is expensive and I actually didn’t want to give tip, but I was so upset that I gave the owner $ 50 and ran out of the store without even looking back or waiting for him to give me my change. I was so sad that I cried on my way home and I really don’t start crying for no reason. But when you are half naked in front of someone who you don’t know and that someone is arrogant, hurts you, makes you feel uncomfortable and even makes fun of you… uff. Worst experience ever. I am definitely not going there again.

Regular customer, no complaints, very professional and staff is always curteous. Gisele (employee) does an excellent job, when it comes to waxing. She keeps the pain to the minimum. I’m a frequent customer and the waxing prices are reasonable. If decide to come either every two or three weeks with an appointment card they give you 20%percent off, so make sure not to skip your appointment, unless you like pain. They also offer facials, lipo cavitation, and eyelash extension. STAFF is always friendly and attentive, I will keep coming.
