The Pet Mode

We’ve been taking our kiddos here for a few years now and each and every time they do a great job. We really love the staff and atmosphere here and so do Stella and Walker. We had some not so great experiences in the past at other groomers. Those days are gone now. Thank you guys and keep up the great work. Have a great and happy new year!

Pet mode is my go to place for all my dogs needs. Not only are they professional and treat my dog with love. They are great people to chat with when dropping off or picking up your puppies. Thank you for keeping my dogs looking and feeling great!

Pet Mode is fabulous! Penelope has been grooming my dogs for over 7 years .My dogs are always happy and look wonderful after they have been pampered at PetMode.
All the staff treat my dogs as family and I could not ask for more. Jakey goes to daycare at least three days a week at Pet Mode and we are so happy and lucky to be able to leave my baby with such caring people. Jake loves his playmates and is a happy camper there. We are very thankful to have Pet Mode in our lives. Our dogs could not be any happier!!!

Amazing service. I have been taking my miniature schnauzer to this place ever since I got him and never had any complaints, always an impecable job right on time.

Very disappointed!!! The main guy in the front, don’t know if he’s the owner (sure acts like it) has the worst attitude! One minute he’s all nice and the next he’s in a pissy mood! Totally Bipolar.
I get there with my 13 lb Shitzu and tell him I want a Puppy trim, that I wanted his paws, his belly and butt trimmed. I had made an appointment at 11:00am the day before. Today at 11:10 I called because I was running late, stuck in Miami traffic. Long story short, I got there at 11:20…at 4:45 I called and he told me they hadn’t even started on him because since I was late (20 min) they put another dog in front.(must have been a pretty large dog!) finally they call me at 6:00!!! When I get there they charge me… are you ready for this??? $ 65.00!!! Told me the dog had knots when the moment I dropped him off he checked him fir knots and said he had none!!!
I couldn’t believe it !! I wanted the$ 35.00 Puppy groom and ended up paying DOUBLE!!! Very bad attitude on top of that!!! NEVER AGAIN! Anyway, there’s a dog groomer on every corner! BYE FELISHA!

This week I can say that they have lost me as a loyal customer.
My fiancé and I have been taking our fur friend here for years. We moved away for awhile but once we moved back we went right back to taking her here since we had always had a good experience.
On Wednesday, we took our little fur friend here to be groomed only to have her return home sick. She barely eats or drinks water and is constantly throwing up vile. This tells me that the cage in which she was kept in was more than likely not sanitized properly or another dog was ill.
I care about my dog too much to bring her back to a place that has her feeling so terrible. It’s honestly heart breaking to look at her face right now because you can tell how miserable she feels.

I’ve used the pet mode for doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming. I’ve been satisfied with all of their services. My pooch loves it here so that’s always a big positive in my book. My only complaint which comes with the territory is when I drop him off for daycare, when I pick him up he smells like «dog» but being that he’s cage free with the other pups it’s bound to happen. Being cage free is what keep me coming back so I like it, he loves it!

Where to start, we have been using Pet mode for our English bulldog Bentley for almost a year now. We have been getting him groomed and boarding him. Unfortunately the last time he was groomed he came home and couldn’t open one of his eyes. We waited a day and still his right eye was closed. We took him to out vet on a Sunday… she is amazing at brickell animal hospital, sure enough he had a corneal ulceration. The vet prescribed some drops and a anti inflammatory and advised us to call the groomers and let them know. On Sunday pet mode is closed, so I called and left a message. Monday morning Kenny called with very concerned and was very apologetic. I informed him that the vet said it happens some times. however the reason I wanted to write this review is because Kenny and Penelope made a bad situation into a good one that make us feel like they care for our dog like family. My husband and I were going away the following weekend and my mother in law was watching our dog and they helped her with administering the drops and watching him. They also gave us a grooming credit. I would like to say THANK YOU! To Kenny and Penelope, Penelope even came to my mother in laws house on Sunday!

Take our baby there for monthly bath and have experienced super nice staff with a super clean and friendly location.
So much nicer place to take my doggie to be groomed than most other shops around miami.
I have to give a A+++ for the place and staff.

Highly recommended. Very clean, very friendly, and very flexible. I have one medium sized dog and two Persians and they never dissapoint. Penelope is awesome and everyone there is so friendly. I love love love the pet mode!!!

This place doesn’t understand directions. At all. The first 2 times i brought my dogs, they did a good job. Since then, they have came home either completely shaved or looking like they had nothing done. Today, i dropped them off instead of my husband. The lady seemed to understand, repeating what i said. Somehow, cut my pomeranian’s hair length by half equates completely shaving him. And my mixed breed was supposed to have a trim all over so length is even (last time was shaved for some reason), looks like she did this morning when i dropped her off.
I will never go here again. I can understand miscommunication once but 3 times in a row???

These people say they specialize in Golden Doodles? If you want to turn yours into a poodle, then bring your dog here. We asked for a minimal trim — even showed photos of what we wanted — and when we returned they had cut 2 inches more than we asked for. Cannot recommend at all.

Love Pet Mode! My darling boys, Wallace & Gromit, get professional and loving treatment… Penelope is just fab. Great cuts, washes in between times, and overnight retreats… and the last is saying a lot. I’ve owned dogs for decades and NEVER overnight them — hate kennels. But this is NOT anything like the infamous rows of caged, ignored, never quite clean dog motels of yesteryear (and still all too many kennels in the U.S.) I completely trust W&G are in the best of care at Pet Mode!

On a recent trip to the mainland, (Miami), my husband and I agreed that our pup needed some social time with other fur kids. That being said, we decided to drive to one local cage-​less option that turned out to be a disaster of a place. Loud barking in a huge dark room with at least a dozen dogs and no organization by the owners. We were very afraid. They shall remain nameless.
Enter Penelope at The Pet Mode. We were so lucky to have her take Chiquita in for a few days with her immunizations records in paw. The Pet Mode really is an amazing, warm, welcoming and clean pet stop for all of your grooming, dress-​up, cozy time and cage-​less boarding needs.
Penelope, the owner, and her staff are topnotch dog experts and my dog was truly happy with the experience. I would highly recommend The Pet Mode for anyone with a dog who needs grooming, toys, treats or cage-​less boarding.

I have been taking not only my 2 dogs but every rescue that I find to Penelope at The Pet Mode. She and her staff are amazing!!! She is loving, gentle and really cares for my dogs who need grooming monthly! She grooms and also boards animals. Her store is so welcoming and it feels like you’re in her living room. She doesn’t cage the dogs unless they need to be and it’s like a day care as all of the dogs play and interact even if they’re only there for grooming. She has also helped me find homes for many of my homeless dogs. I would absolutely recommend The Pet Mode as I always do. Thank you so much Penelope for everything you do.

It’s said dog is man’s best friend so when I had to drop off a friend’s best friend at her kennel, I was a little sad and nervous. I equate the word kennel with sad dog prison hostel. But much to my surprise this shop is quite cute and doubles as a grooming salon and boarding spot.
The shop itself is adorable with tons of goodies for your pup.
Next time you’re going out of town consider bringing your canine to spend the night here or just come in and pick up some treats for your little friend.

Don’t even consider any other groomer for your pooch. We’ve tried all the so called «best Groomers in town» and all I have to say is The Pet Mode is in a league of its own. Everything is taken to the next level there; spotless, very unique, rare for Miami. Our first visit was amazing! Our 2.8 Lb. Yorkie will make this her «To go place» for her grooming.
