i guess ill have to give it a second chance. i was not impressed by anything else other than their glass art works on the walls. a couple of bands performed that night, sound was ok… i have to go back again sometime but in the meantime, 3 stars sound just about right.

I first found out about TKD last January for a friends birthday. My best friend and I decided that this place sounded a bit too much and that we should pregame before with a bottle of wine… needless to say we drank inside anyway so it only enhanced our experience. When we got there around 11, there was hardly a line and the doormen didn’t give us too much of a hassle to go in. Honestly the inside of this place is beautiful, its like the mini-version of Karu & Y, without the pompousness. The outside called the Grass Lounge is super low key, and it reminds me of a Japanese garden. I wish I could go into more details about how beautiful the place is, but every time i go there I end up not remembering much of the night. The crowd is a bit older than what I’m used to, but they still bust a mean groove. For your birthday, if you bring a nice group of people and you drink for a bit, they hook you up with a bottle of goose with sparklers. Woot… just keep on adding the alcohol… you can easily walk out of the place at 5 wondering where your time went. Always lots of fun, which surprised me bc I’m more of a bar kinda girl… check it out

I went to this place on a Friday night — without even knowing what it was called. We were trying to go to Grass Lounge next door, and wound up here– only now figured out the name. Seems Fridays have a ‘Cirque’ theme, complete with clowns, stilt walkers, and a bongo player(???). The most fun I’ve had in a lounge in a long time. Areas to just chill, plus a dance floor. Give me a good drum beat, and I’m dancing! My favorite part was the guy playing the drums to every-and-any song that was playing — can’t beat that. Only annoying thing was as the night went on, the dance floor was packed with people who didn’t know the meaning of personal space — but isn’t that how it usually goes?
