Unfortunately, I had a bad experience today. I truly was looking forward and excited for my appointment as I live a few blocks away. I have been getting an airbrush spray tan in South Beach for the last 2 years and thought I would give solar intoxication a try as I was recommended by a friend. I called to make an appt and had a nice conversation with the girl who answered. I had explained that I had been going to South Beach to get airbrushed and really wanted to give them a try. She asked what I was looking for and I explained that I wanted a nice tone, not too light but not too dark. She proceeded to ask, do you want the light or dark airbrush? I responded, well I’m very light but, again, I don’t want it to be too light or too dark. She recommended the dark airbrush. I agreed and booked the appt assuming I would have a short consultation with the option to switch to the light airbrush if necessary. Well, when I arrived I was greeted nicely. A man sitting behind the desk a a girl sitting on the couch I assume was for clients. I proceeded to let the man know I was their 1pm spay tan. The girl got up and said yes you are with me. I said great, I’m a little nervous about the dark tan and think I would like the lighter tan. Needless to say she was NOT happy with that. She said, well I’m the one you spoke to on the phone and you said you wanted the dark tan and that’s the one I have available. I don’t have the lighter one, had I known you wanted that I would have ordered it. I told her I was unaware that I had to make a LIGHT or DARK spray tan appt. I thought she would consult for a moment upon meeting me and create a tone to suit my coloring. Otherwise, I suppose, I would have just have gone in a machine and selected a tone without a consult had I known I would be treated this way. She TRIED to blame it on the fact that the lighter color had oxidized and again had she known I wanted the lighter, she would have had it available. Well, oxidation is a term I am familiar with as I am a master colorist for New York based company a well as a Network Educator. I have trained and worked in salons in Chicago, New York, London and Amsterdam. I truly understand when I am being thrown for a loop. I decided to not go through with the service and went to South Beach on Michigan ave at 17^th where I should have gone from the start. I won’t be going back or recommending this place to anyone

I come here often to use the VersaSpa spray tan and have always been impressed by the cleanliness and friendliness there. A few times the machine acted a little wonky but they always responded to the issue quickly and issued a credit if appropriate.
A special shout-​out to (I believe) Jonathan about a month ago. I have a terrible habit of showing up three minutes before they close for the night. Not only have they never given me attitude (which I might do in their place), but when I showed up ONE minute before they closed, not only did Jonathan let me use the VersaSpa but when there was a problem, fixed it and let me use it again even though I’m sure it postponed his closing at least a good twenty minutes. I very much appreciated his patience and promise not to abuse it again. :)

This place gives you royal treatment. The place is beautifully designed. Tanning beds are the best I have tried in Miami. Best!

Pretty good tanning salon. Had a modern look to it and the beds are new and in good shape. Prices a fair a little on the higher side but it’s In a good location so it comes with the territory. I would recommended doing the gold package as the silver doesn’t always do the job and I tan easily. Bring you own lotion as it’s not cheap to buy it there

Overcast weather diverted my beach plans and I was in desperate need of some color. I presented as a walk-​in client and was immediately received by a sweet and knowledgable employee that educated me on the various tanning bed options. The tanning bed technology has certainly evolved since my last attempt circa 2002 in high school. There’s a bed at this location that is equipped with fans so you remain cool throughout your session. You can also control the exposure to your face so it tans less than your body.
It was also a very clean establishment. I will definitively return to even out my tan before my wedding. My session left me with some much needed subtle coloring.

Love this place! I go here once in a while to catch up on a tan. The staff is great and the place is clean. Although I love the place parking can be a headache at times along with traffic depending on the time of day.

Today was my first visit and I love this salon!!! The girl at the front desk was very nice and place look cute and clean) I gonna come back for sure!

I needed to get a Spray Tan for a wedding and found this studio via Unilocal.I came I. Without an appointment. But the AC in the room had to get fixed so they kindly offered to call me when I can come back the same day. Everybody was very friendly and super helpful. I like the atmosphere. I definitely will come back!!!

This is my favorite tanning salon in Miami! No matter which booth I go in I am always so happy with the outcome. The receptionist Cat is my favorite. I always walk in to her greeting with me a big smile and helping me with all the questions I have. Definitely recommend this salon to anyone near by!

I am impressed by the quality of the beds. After one session in the 550 bed, I had a beautiful tan and no burn (10 minutes)

Love it! Love it! Love it! It was My first airbrush tan and I am beyond happy with the results. The lady that performed my airbrush made me feel very comfortable! She was great i will def… Come back :) the girl at the front desk was very polite and knows about the products that are sold I purchased a self tanner it will help keep my tan for longer.

I came here for a spray tan in the Versa Spa. The salon was super clean and so cute! The owner was there & she was very nice & professional. The spray tan was a very good price and turned out GREAT! I will for sure be back.

VERY CLEAN, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF!!! The girl behind the counter was so knowledgeable about all the tanning products and beds. I came in just for a tan and left feeling like I found my new salon! This place is a must try!

This salon is wonderful! Always clean, staff is sooooo nice, open late, never have to wait long, prices are reasonable (I tan and occasionally use the spray tan) and I just park in the ramp if there are no street spots. Highly recommend!

Great salon!!! Friendly staff and soooo clean! Wish prices were a tad bit lower for single sessions, as I have friends who come from out of town and want to use a session, but well worth it really! ;)

I’ve been here several times when I didn’t have time to go to the beach or the weather wasnt great. This is probably the cleanest/​most reasonably priced tanning salons I have ever been in. The don’t nickel and dime you with the eye protectors as they are free (unlike other places). The staff is very nice and helpful. More importantly it is very clean (floor, beds and bathroom). The beds are all high quality and effective when it comes to giving you some color in a short time.

I LOVE this place!!! I first went to Solar Intoxication because I was going out of town on a cruise to the Bahamas and didn’t want to be super pasty like always, plus I just couldn’t find the time to lay out at the beach! The moment I walked in I was greated by the receptionist who was very sweet, and knowledgable about the beds. This place has the best tanning beds you will ever tan in! I use the sun angel which is great because you won’t burn, the bed scans the tone of your skin to gradually get you tan with out burning! Which is great for me since I haven’t laid out or had a tan since summer! I immediately saw a difference that I loved!
I’ve been going a few times a week after work and on my days off, I use it as a very much needed relaxation time. All of the beds have built in music that you can change from dance to relaxing music. You can also plug in your iPhone or iPod etc. Also which I’ve never seen in any other tanning bed is every few minutes it will mist out a moisturizer, which is very refreshing!
And best of all, the prices are great and very affordable! I have a monthly membership that I’ll never get rid of!!!

Looks like I have the honors of being the first review! I’ve been tanning on and off at this location since it opened and I like it. The staff is very friendly and always helpful, unlike some tanning places. It is always very clean and they have a nice variety of quality tanning products, like Design Skin. It’s an upscale tanning salon with beds and an awesome non-​UV spray tan booth (not a mystic booth). They offer free eye protective stickers (unlike some places), water, as well as a few basic hygiene items. The beds are amazing! I use the bed (can’t remember name) that scans your skin so that you never burn! I love that machine because it never burns me and automatically lowers the bulb intensity as needed. The prices are a little steep, but they usually always have some type of deal (so keep a look out).
