Absolute Tanning Salon

Horrible business. The owner let the place go to sh**, & by the looks of it, apparently he has let himself go as well. Last few times I’ve been there they had no toilet paper, tissues, paper towel, water, etc. etc. The girls working don’t seem to really care. They also are extremely pushy w/​trying to sell things. I’ve seen the owner a couple times & he will talk your ear off about how he knows everyone (government/​police…) &/​or that he has 10 cars. I have also heard him speak very badly about his previous employees. & my most recent experience seeing him, he looked high as a kite & was telling me how he buys his marijuana off the guys who do the car booting in the lot & how he took a bunch of pills the night before & had sex with a man. A little too much info buddy. In conclusion, this place is extremely unprofessional & I will not be returning.

Really unhappy. I read such great reviews about this place, I was excited to get started. I walked in and the facility looked beautiful. I went to the front desk and this is where I ran into the problem.
I was looking over the packages and asked the associate there what she thought. She immediately recommended the highest priced bed. I told her that that wasn’t feasible for me and I wanted to go with the basic bed and get a package. She told me she didn’t think that was a good idea and recommended that I go with the middle bed. I looked at the prices and told her «okay. I’ll go with five sessions on the medium bed.» She still wouldn’t let me pay. She insisted, again, that I go with at least a few sessions on the highest priced bed. I told her that I didn’t want to do that, but she kept insisting. She started going over each of the «mixed packages» and telling me how I needed at least a few sessions in the highest priced bed. I eventually got frustrated and told her that I would think about it and come back.
I’m giving it two stars because I’m sure it would have been nice if I had been able to use it, but the front desk associate was so pushy about packages, she pushed me out the door. Guess I’ll have to find another salon.

I love this place. All the employees are super nice and helpful with suggesting beds and products. The owner is nice as well! I’ve been coming here for a few months and it is ALWAYS spotless and the beds are state of the art. It’s not the cheapest and parking can be a challenge but it’s still worth it. Great place with great people!!!

I came here for a tan and two weeks later my identity was stolen. I gave them all kinds of information including my fingerprint and social security number. Not worth it! The tan didn’t even come out very good. I will never come back here and I suggest anyone else find somewhere else to get a tan.

I really like this tanning salon. I have been coming here for over a year, and have recommended it to a ton of people.
First amazing thing, they have versaspa which is the best quality spray tan you can get without having someone airbrush you.
Second amazing thing, I have had a few issues, like anyone who spray tans… and each time they have gone above and beyond to fix me. Great customer service.
Third amazing thing, I left my Bulova watch in the tanning room one day… didn’t even realize it for a week… when I called they had it waiting for the owner. You have no idea how great that felt, it was a very expensive christmas gift from my boyfriend and would of been heart broken if I lost it.
There you go, three amazing reason to try this tanning salon.
Oh, and bonus, its right next to «le sandwicherie» and parking is usually a breeze, and free!

The tanning beds may be great, but I wil never know because in order to use them you have to ‘register’ which includes your name, date of birth and fingerprint… WAY too much info to be giving complete strangers access to.
I spoke to the manager and he quoted ‘state law’…nope, not the case. State law requires you not to tan more than once in a 24 hour period and that you are over 18 or have your parents permission. It does not require you to give out personal info that multiple workers at the tanning salon have access to.
South Florida is the number 1 place for identity theft in the nation… don’t do it!!!

Gorgeous and Clean! Never did any kind of indoor tanning before, but I really enjoyed it! Definitely come back to get some more color!

One poor girl working and half the tanning beds are broken. Waiting forever and the mid level beds are 19 $ a session. there’s cheaper places that are better, wont be coming back :/

Preface: I never fake bake but needed to get rid of some tan lines for a photo shoot the next day. I bought the $ 8 deal that was worth $ 19 from Unilocal as well.
Pros: The deal was very good and had no problem redeeming it. The location of Absolutans is great. The manager/​owner/​guy that was working was very nice and helpful. I think his name was Craig. The room was clean and had everything I needed and then some.
Cons: none I can think of.
Overall: Since I don’t ever using tanning booths, I can’t compare Absolutans to another salon but I was impressed overall. Stop in if you need a tan in the Brickell area.

New owner, new administration, new attendants. «CLARA» is amazing with attention to details. They remodel & redecorated the reception area and booths. This place is spotless clean, every booth has a towel and chocolates waiting for you .
If you prefer spray tanning which is my only reason for seeking «Absolute Tans» they have the best self spray Tanning machine «THE VERSA SPA» is by far the best. Follow the easy steps & positions and this machine will spray your skin to look FLAWLESS beautifully colored & evenly bronzed. You will look automatically 10 lbs less after this spray tanning session. You will look and feel skinnier and sexier!!! Believe me I am a regular here.

I can’t say enough about this tanning salon! From the beds to the employees EVERYTHING is absolutely amazing! I have been using the Vector bed but can’t wait to try the King. The aray of lotions are wonderful! I think everyone in Brickell and Downtown should stop in and get a little color! This location is very convenient and has free parking! On my lunch break I tan and grab a bite to eat next door… Can’t beat that! I give Absolutan 10 stars!

Let me preface that this was something that I wanted to write approximately 6 months ago when I left Absolutans:
Although the few people that work there are extremely polite, the owner made multiple changes with his pricing and decided to not grandfather in the people that had been loyal customers. I decided to ask him one last time before making my final decision. His explanation would have been enough for me to accept had it been the truth; that out of all the areas Tanning Salons he was still the cheapest even with his increase in pricing.
THE CLINCHER:
I contacted multiple Tanning Salons. What I thought was going to be the most expensive Salon in South Florida, ended up being $ 25.00 less then what Absolutan wanted to charge with the new plans. There were a few others that I called as well just to check if his statement held true. It didn’t.
All in all it was really dissapointing that instead of keeping a loyal customer, they decided to lose one.
Customer Service: Thumbs down.

Absolutans Tanning Salon– Brickell
This is a great place to tan. They offer a great variety of tanning machines.
Staff are very friendly and speedy service. It is a very clean place, tanning beds are very clean and a very nice ambience. They sell a variety of lotions and different packages. The place is located in a great area and it has free parking in front of the Salon.
I recommend it 100% it really works, it’s a great place to go tanning!!! :)

ok, so I think one of the machines in absolutans is a porthole into the center of the sun. seriously, this machine is so hot and so bright… but, it’s a bronzing machine so, despite feeling like you caught fire when you step out, you actually can’t get burned. for a whitey like me, that’s a super big plus.
absolutans is maintained really well — always very clean with a staff that is very friendly (and attractive) who take the time to explain everything to you in as much detail as you need. they have a good selection of machines and membership options, tanning/​bronzing lotions, and they keep your eye gear and lotions for you on site.
I’ve had a couple of issues with glitches starting the machines but the staff has been attentive and helpful and resolved any issues immediately. they offer a free tan when you refer someone and a buy-​one-​get-​one-​free option for certain types of tanning — and of course monthly plans as well.
with fairly competitive prices (depending on the machine you select), recently extended hours and a location close to home/​work, this will definitely become my go-​to place whenever I decide I need a little color or a dose of vitamin D… although I’m really not much of a tanner. and I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking in the area.
