We handle all types of employment based nonimmigrant visas and handle a wide variety of family-​based immigration cases and applications for naturalization.

We specialized in immigration matters for LGBT individuals and have successfully obtained asylum for gays and lesbians. Our office has also represented dozens of couples before USCIS in green card interviews based on same-​sex marriages.

History

Established in 2013.

Mrs. Westerman-​Keuning worked for a year as an Associate Attorney at the law office of Kurzban, Kurzban, Weinger, Tetzeli, & Pratt P.A. under the direct supervision of renowned immigration attorney and author, Ira J. Kurzban. She assisted in researching and indexing the Twelfth Edition of Kurzban’s Immigration Law Sourcebook, the most widely used text in the field of immigration law. She served as the lead litigation associate working on federal court cases and class action lawsuits with Mr. Kurzban.

In 2010, she began working as an Associate Attorney at Julie C. Ferguson, P.A. where she handled a wide variety of immigration cases from consultation to completion with a high success rate. In 2012, the law office of Julie C. Ferguson P.A. merged into Carlton Fields, the largest and one of the most prestigious law firms in the State of Florida where Mrs. Westerman-​Keuning assisted in developing and establishing an Immigration Law Department. In June 2013, she opened her law firm.

Our law firm was established by Sasha Westerman-​Keuning, a highly experienced attorney in Miami, Florida who has practiced immigration law exclusively for 5 years. She graduated with honors from Boston College and the University of Miami School of Law. Prior to establishing her immigration law firm, Sasha Westerman-​Keuning P.A., she worked as the Senior Immigration Associate at several of Miami’s top immigration law firms. She also assisted in establishing the Immigration Law Department at a major corporate law firm in Miami. Mrs. Westerman-​Keuning applies these years of experience at leading immigration law firms to her law practice, providing innovative legal solutions to even the most complex immigration cases.

Sasha Westerman-​Keuning is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in September 2009. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College in 2006 and Cum Laude in 2009 from the University of Miami School of Law.
