Rapid Wax

I should have known my eyebrows would come out horrible when the girl doing them looked like she herself hadn’t had her eyebrows done in 3 weeks. There is literally a gap in my eyebrow because she apparently didn’t know how to use wax. I understand accidents happen but even after the fact she still decided to thin my eyebrow out even more. It looks like she did them with her eyes closed. UNPROFESSIONAL AND HAD AN ATTITUDE. Never returning.

Wow I’m so confused by all the negative reviews! I actually really like rapid wax for my eyebrows, they use a stencil so it’s kind of hard for them to mess it up… I myself am terrible at doing my own eyebrows so I fully rely on this place to take care of my brows, lol. I usually go Friday’s on my way back from school and I always pay cash cause I hate leaving tip on my card for services provided. I’ve never had a problem I always show up put my name on the list and sit, I never pick a specialist I usually leave it up to fate cause I prefer speed! I’ve never been disappointed they’ve all been really nice, efficient and quick. I’ve brought people with me to do their eye brows and now they are loyal rapid waxers. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because sometimes it’s not the cleanest of places (not the tools they use that’s clean! I always check) like the floor and the walls and sometimes the front desk is messy. Other than that I’m a fan!
They have a punch card and I think you get like the 10^th wax free or something idk I never use it cause I always lose them and I’m not going to carry a punch card around, but if you’re into bargains, that’s a nice touch!
Anyway I went off on a tangent…
Back to my brows they always come out even! However I don’t just sit at my chair I always verbally tell them what I want! If you aren’t proactive and just sit there I can see why some people leave unhappy speak up! It’s their job to please you!

Rapid Wax why!!! I used to love you but you are no longer deserving of my love.
So I wrote a more detailed review and here is my update — I’m downgrading Rapid Wax to a 1-​star. The quality of the work has really changed for the worse.
The last time I went, I got my eyebrows done, looked in the mirror, and they looked good. Later when I washed my face I noticed why — the employee had filled my eyebrows with makeup to cover up the horrible job she did! She created holes in places in my eyebrows that were really full! She did them super thin and horrendous. My mom’s eyebrows (done by a different employee) also came out horrible. They took off a huge chunk off the side of one of her brows and they came out extremely uneven. (See my pics, though it looks a million times worse in person)
If I go back, it’s only because there’s one employee that I trust with my brows, but she isn’t there often and if she is there, there is usually a long wait for her.
Ugh!

I have come to this location for several years to get my eyebrows done. I stopped going to this particular location because it gets very very crowded and the wait time can be 30 minutes or more. The last time I went was at 10am right when the store opened. When I got there, the employee seemed annoyed that she would have to start working right away. Then she spoke to me in Spanish, and was frustrated that I don’t speak very much Spanish. All of the employees speak Spanish there but have never given me a problem. It’s really not that hard for me to tell them that I want full eyebrows in Spanish and they have always understood and have done a good job. After this happened, I started going to The Falls location. I have been there twice and have had to wait 5 minutes at the most. I went there today after I got out of work. I arrived at around 6:20pm (they close at 7) I stood at the front desk for about 5 minutes then an employee finally came to the front desk. She was on the phone and didn’t acknowledge me. She ended her call and then again without acknowledging me and other customers that were standing behind me at this point, proceeded to answer another call. She was on the phone for about another 10 minutes scheduling someone for a spray tan. She finally gets off the phone and acknowledges me. I ask if I can get my eyebrows done. She says «no. We’re closed.» I completely understand that the employees want to go home on time but I had been standing there for about 15 – 20 minutes before she acknowledged me even being there and when she did, it was still 25 minutes before the store closed! It’s a shame because I’ve referred so many clients to Rapid Wax over the years. I will no longer be referring anyone there and I won’t be returning.

VERY VERY RUDE HERE !! Wow just beware of the Latin women here not only are they dismissive of their clients, they make you wait at 11am on a Monday when the location is empty. They had two women working and still made me wait there like a moron. Tried to get my eyebrows done while on a 15 from work, After waiting 30 mins to just walk out after they just ignored me talking to each other in Spanish… It’s really pathetic, I’ll be going back to the threading location in the mall at least the customer service they is bearable and their very quick!

I asked for a Brazilian wax and the wax lady decided to do another service without asking. Then they charged me for that service. Never going back

Rude. Horrible attitude. I kept telling them I don’t speak spanish and they kept talking to me in Spanish as if I did. The lady that waxed my face clearly did not know what she was doing. Once she had to pull out her tweezers because the hair was not coming off with the wax she told me i had too much hair. The only words she knew in englsh. I would never recommend this place and never go back. Absolutely TERRIBLE.

I’ve been doing my eyebrows with them for 8 years. There used to be this young girl named Carla who I loved! She was so friendly and always greeted me with a smile. Her work was phenomenal. I loved having my eyebrows done by her. Lately every time I go I leave hating my eyebrows. I haven’t stuck with one person since Carla left hoping to find someone there that will do as great as her.
If you’re looking to get them done and shopping this is a great place. The time is reasonable and there is no way they could majorly mess up your eyebrows since they use stencils. I would say give them a try, you might get lucky. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to have the service done by them.

I went today and I vow to never return again. Take a look for yourself. My eyebrows are so uneven I look mental. I’m going to have to spend money on an eyebrow stencil until they grow again.

I think this place moved to the location at the falls. I went in one day to ask about the waxing services while I was at the mall. My main question was about double dipping, which is when the waxer dips the stick in the wax and then places wax in your body, then dips the same stick in the wax pot to get more wax. It’s a very unsanitary practice as from person to person germs spread from all the different body parts that are getting waxed. It’s really disgusting. They said that they don’t do that. However when I returned to try them out my waxer DID! I immediately brought it to her attention and she tried to make up some excuse, validating why it was ok. I insisted it wasn’t ok and that I had been told they don’t do that there. She didn’t speak much English which was not helpful, although common in this area. She did stop double dipping after I brought it up but it’s not my germs I’m worried about it’s the people she probably has been double dipping with and using that same wax before me. She also left the room several time during my service. Totally unprofessional and again unsafe. She switched wax types in the middle too. I will never return and warn others not to go either.

I give this place a 4 star, because of Sara who does AMAZING eyebrows… but if tomorrow she were to leave to another place then I would follow her there and never return to this place…
Rapid Wax is very small and located at Dadeland mall. which is crowed and noisy even on a tuesday at noon!!! parking of course is horrible and the wait time is over an hour, bc the only great eyebrow lady there is SARA.
What makes this place stay opened is no doubt bc of SARA, she is beyond an eyebrow whisper… she gives eyebrows shape and not just cleans them… she listens and does what is going to look great for you…
oh ya they don’t take appointments…

I have been doing my eyebrows there for years! The only reason I give them 3 stars is because they lack a lot of organization. They have appointments available and more people available doing certain hours. I find it ridiculous to wait an hour for my eyebrows to be done.
Sometime are good and some people are horrible! I only use Rosa to do my eyebrows. I’ve had them messed up by others so be careful and look at how they do them.

This is place is small and often crowded, however I come here for a specific specialist named Sara. She’s the only person I trust with my eyebrows. In fact, I believe she’s the only person a lot of women trust with their eyebrows. I say this because there is a sign in sheet upon arrival and it lets you write down the specialist you would like to wait for … She’s the only person down the list!
I told her she’s like Lebron. Seriously, if you come here to do your eyebrows. I recommend the location and I specifically recommend Sara as well.
Aside from that another reason I frequent this place is Because they use a stencil as eyebrow makeup first before using wax. This allows for precise measuring of the structure they will use to appropriately shape your brow.
It’s not painful and they’re very professional, friendly and clean.

Worst experience waxing ever and it have been waxing for years. Said price was 30 for bikini and charged 50 instead. Extremely painful

Walking into this place is like walking into a third world country. You walk in and sign in, no one says hello and by the time you are done you’ve already wasted 45 minutes sitting in their crowded rented out space. All the girls that work there do not speak English and they are always on the their cell phones. They’ll be texting while there is hot wax on you. Also, all of their makeup stations are full of dust. The girls that work there only care about their regular clients. Save yourself time and book an appointment at Uni K Wax across the street off of US1, you’re guaranteed quality and friendly service.

They are pretty fast her, hence the name rapid wax. I’ve ventured on lunch breaks and have been able to get in and out. They usually get packed after 5 or weekends. Most girls are pretty good however you should try and stick with the ones that you like the best. You can ask for them and elect to wait of they ate busy. The prices are comparable. Wax they use gives little to no irritation.

Every single time I come here, I just get so angry, stressed, anxious, impatient, and frustrated! I feel like I have stepped into a little shack in Cuba. These people don’t talk English, they leave you standing there waiting for service. They don’t care about delivering proper/​professional service here. They sit in front of the store on the bench an talk on their cell and eat chips while the place is packed inside and only leave one or two employees working. They tend to be rude, especially if you don’t speak Spanish, they like to ignore you or treat you bad. They always have a problem with their sign in sheet. People don’t see it and just assume they are next and sit down to wait while someone new comes in and signs and they call that person and that’s when the show forms and they lose their customers. The employees don’t inform you to sign sheet and definitely don’t greet and welcome you.
The work they do is inconsistent. One week it’s fine, next it’s different, next they do it skinnier and skinnier and uneven. $ 18? Your crazy! For these immigrants to spit in your face, talking to their co workers out loud and across the room about their weekend and answering personal cell phone calls while they wax your eyebrows?

I always come here on a weekly basis and I called today (Sunday) and they told me they closed at 7. I showed up at 6:45pm and they didn’t take me because the register was closed. Don’t tell me you close at 7, and then close the register at 6:45pm! Very unprofessional!!!

Wait time is horrendous as you cannot make an appointment and it really is by first come first serve however having your eyebrows done by Lissy is perfection. She takes her time, is extremely detailed and leaves your eyebrows looking wonderful. I have received many compliments on the shaping of my eyebrow and it’s all due to Lissy’s shaping.

Had my eyebrows done by Lissy who was quick and did a good job. I bought the kit with the eyebrows stencils and shadow she used but didn’t have the same results as when she did it. I must be allergic to the wax bc I had a funky reaction for 2 days after. I guess this place will do when you’re in a rush.

Yes the prices are not so great but I prefer paying a little bit more and walking out with beautiful eyebrows. I only let Yuleidys touch my eyebrows she does them each time perfect. I don’t like the waiting since I go in the weekends but if you go in the weekdays not so bad. It’s pretty far for me but I still go two times a month because it’s worth it in the end.
