I LOVE THIS PLACE.
I had just adopted a dog who was at least a 3 breed mix from the shelter and he was an absolute mess with long ragged hair. I called a few groomers I had heard about and was told that if I did not know the «pure breed» of the dog that they could not accept him.
Then I booked for this groomer online– it was very convenient. I liked that it did not ask for breed type, simply age and weight.
When I arrived they were extremely friendly and didn’t say a word about his breed or his current messy state. The place was clean and warm (very little parking would be the only issue but I managed to have a spot both times). The people working there were efficient.
They called while he was there to confirm what I wanted which was great– I know some places that would just do whatever they wanted. He was done at exactly the time they said he would be. The prices are reasonable and the paying experience was fast and friendly. And he looked SO much better. This place is really awesome and I would recommend it to anyone!!!

Such wonderful service and very reasonably priced our doggies always leave there happy. They actually enjoy getting a bath and haricut. Eventhough we are moving shortly, i still us making the drive from Kendall to have our doggy groomed here.

Love it! My Morty loved this place who didn’t scare nor ignore him. Cut prices are lower than most in downtown, worth the drive. Mary the owner is sweet and her staff very nice. My 18 y/​o Morty passed (yes before his rainbow cross, he was perfectly groomed) but now we bring Teddy for a great spa treatment! Highly highly recommended!

I want to thank the great people from Poochie on the block, who have become our one and only groomers for our schnauzer Hazel! They saved us! The service is great and my dog Hazel loves them. When we first got Hazel 2 years ago we lived across the street, and after paying an arm and a leg at pet smart for a haircut With really abusive service (they cut her ear!) and yelled at her when she moved! Not cool pets smart!) we found this little groomer right off bird road and 67^th ! Hazel unfortunately had separation anxiety when we got her and couldn’t leave her in the apartment alone because she cried all day and the neighbors complained ! So we decided to leave her there since they also offer boarding services $ 10 a day from 830−5pm which was awesome ! The hair cuts are great never had a cut on her ! The lady that is always there is soooo sweet ! They can count on us for all of
Hazel grooming needs !! Luckily Hazel is now older so we can now leave her Alone with a tv on!!!
