History

Established in 2004.

The Pilates and Movement Center of Brickell is a Pilates, Yoga and Dance studio that also hosts a Romana’s Pilates Certification, the finest certification program in the world. ALL Romana’s Pilates instructor trainers are handpicked, guided and directly mentored by our Level IV Instructor; Bernadette Bassiouni.

We are one of the few Pilates studios in the state of Florida hosting apprentices during the 900+ hours required to achieve Roman’s Pilates Certification. Potential instructors take private lessons, practice teaching one another, observe client sessions and assist in overall maintenance of studio.

Business Owner

Bernadette Bassiouni — My passion for Dance led me to my journey into Pilates. I was accepted into the Australian Ballet School, where I was introduced to Pilates. When I was selected for the Australian Ballet Company, I found that Pilates provided the stamina and endurance that I needed for dance. After fulfilling my Dance career, I went to New York to study at The Pilates Method of Conditioning under Romana Kryzanowska and daughter Sari Mejia Santo, both students of Joseph H. Pilates.
