I’ve taken my daughter here since her first hair cut. The salon is conveniently located so we keep coming back. I love that it does cater to kids(baby to adolescents) and the stylist(I think owner) is sweet and very patient. The toys and equipment are older but not in bad condition. A haircut plus tip will be around $ 25.

I had my beard trimmed here by one of the owners. He did an amazing job, and was very careful and precise. I highly recommend this business for not only children but adults too!

Wrote my sons name on a list, was told to wait 30 min and that’s exactly how long it took. The parking in the shopping center IS horrible but I’ll bring my son back because the gentleman that cut his hair did it under 15 minutes and he did a great job! Mind you, My son was screaming and crying and the whole she bangs. $ 17 haircut for a toddler with little hair seems irrational to me but that seems to be the set price everywhere I go :/I didn’t care about there not being toys, I walked around the shopping center instead of sitting there waiting. It IS small and there is barely anywhere to stand or sit. Still recommend the place. The staff was nice :)

This is the WORST place to bring your kids. I decided to write this review after a month when I feel less uncomfortable with the situation. This place is DIRTY, small and the owner or manager thinks that parents are stupid. The hair cut was Mheaaa its ok, nothing nice or different. This place is a war camp. They take almost two hours to take care of you, Of course after 2 hours every kid is terrible. They don’t respect the waiting list and they clean the floor every 3 to 5 cuts with the kids there and toys. The worst part !!! when I went to pay after two hours and a nothing special hair cut, I gave a coupon to the manager there and he charged me 16.50 with a coupon. I asked how much is the haircut he said 19.50. I’m like WHAT??? I asked this is a regular price every time and standard price. He said yes and he came back with the next person. I WILLNEVERCOMEBACKTOTHISPLACE, ITISNASTYANDEXPENSIVE. THEYNEVERTAKECAREOFYOU, WORSTCOSTUMERSERVICE.

This place has been renovated! The horse was repainted, the inside was redone as well and the sign. The space is slightly crowded still, but that’s because it’s so busy! I’ve been going for years and the hairdressers are definitely the most caring and patient that you will find. Definitely an A+ for customer service. This is a family owned business, sometimes the owners are late. But they’ll make up for it in attentive behavior for each individual customer.

There are few places that cut kids hair in the Miami area, so this was the best we could find for my 10 month old son’s first haircut. While stylist did an excellent job, the facility and customer service left much to be desired. The owner was late in arriving to open the shop, as several families waited outside wondering if they had gone out of business and asking neighboring shops if they knew anything. Upon arrival, the owner offered no apologies. The facility is small, cluttered and grimy. For my son’s second hair cut we took him to Lil Jungle in the Kendall/Palmetto Bay area and had a much better experience.

Kidkut’s has been showcased in many publications as one of Miami’s friendliest and best haircut salons for kids. Just do a quick search online and you will notice their strong presence. If you decide to visit you will not be disappointed by the service, but you will be surprised by the state of the salon. Beginning at the parking lot, the Kidkut sign has been destroyed by the sun, the heat, the rain and maybe some vandals. Instead of Kidkut, the sign looks to spell«Kick kut», and from far«Kick butt». As if that wasn’t enough, the store front suffers from the same problem. The lettering on the black shiny glass is unreadable, and if you don’t know of this place’s existence, you will surely miss it. Before you go in, there is a kiddie ride outside. It’s a white horsie. It operates on 50 cents. What nobody knows is that this horsie has the strength and the stamina of a mechanical bull, and it will shoot off little children. I sit on the benches outside just to admire this mechanical wonder, and to see how this monstrosity scares every kid that wants to ride it. It vibrates so violently that the kids will shake their heads and say«no!» as they extend their arms towards you. Older toddlers will jump off if you are not quick enough. If you don’t believe me, try it, Once inside, it is claustrophobic. There is a bench that sits five or four people at the entrance, and across there is a half empty glass counter covered with parenting magazines. There are four or five seats for the kids, ranging from a little yellow car to a little white horse. The salon has shelves with hair products for kids, like shampoos, gels and detanglers. Several flat screens are playing cartoons and the walls are covered with random decorations that make the small space crowded. Overall it reminds you that somebody forgot to pick up after the party. Forgive me for painting such a terrible scene, but this hair salon is the diamond in the rough. As you sit waiting for your turn, you will notice that Kidkut’s has the most loving hairdressers in town. Once your turn comes, your hairdresser will ask you what do you want, and he or she will deliver. Miraculously, as your child sits on the chair, he or she will not cry or fuss. You will think that these hairdressers are probably snake charmers. But no, they are just patient. They will spend as long as they deem necessary to make sure your little one is picture perfect. Matter of fact, I have seen kids come in dressed up for a pageant and get their hair done. These people love what they do and love dealing with kids. I have been coming here for a few years, and it never occurred to me to write a review. If you can make it through my list of obstacles, you will be rewarded, since the dysfunctionality makes it a gem.
