Goin’ Bananas

I came to this place with a friend and our kids in order to get some foods and fun time. While we were eating my friend found a rubber band in her daughter’s pincho platter. I asked my server for a manager but, she said that she was the manager. She took the rubber band and went straight to the kitchen, and never came back to said something. A few minutes later, I found myself a second rubber band, I did stand up and asked a man that was in the back if he is the place’s owner; I asked him please to come to our table, I showed him the physical hazard object that was inside my Philly steak sandwich. For my surprise he just said that they don’t use or buy rubber bands in his place. Obviously it could be from his delivery. After waiting for a while he made us filed an incident report, but never apologize. Be aware because this place is small children oriented.

Great atmosphere, great place to take your kids to go wild. Definitely will be coming back with the nephew and niece

So I’m an original patron of Bananas —
A former regular who truly enjoyed this place when it first opened long ago and watched it slowly fall apart — at one point I waited almost an hour to get my drinks and a menu. I hadn’t returned since then.
I recently learned that it had been sold so I returned in hopes that both the service and the food would be returned to its somewhat former glory. The idea is genius — a place where the kids can play while you have a decent meal. Today’s server approached me with a smile and took our drink orders quickly. He returned with our drinks and took the meal order with the kid’s meals making it to my table so quickly that I was surprised. I had the pincho platter which was delicious and healthy. I noticed that they repaired the much neglected netting on the playground and added more tables. After today’s service and food I am likely to return and to encourage my play dates to meet here once again.
If I have one real complaint it’s that the wine is terrible. The red wine is always hot and it is really almost impossible to drink. I switched from the cabernet to the Malbec and neither was decent.

Celebrated my daughter’s first birthday party and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. Everyone that attended complimented us on the location and food. Would highly recommend.

I’m so Disappointed. I haven’t been here in about a year and a half and it has changed so much! My 3 year old used to love it so much! It’s great because I can bring my laptop and work on the wifi while having direct sight of him the entire time. The place hasn’t been maintained well and that makes me so sad. The chairs are torn, the play area is really dirty and it’s just ok now. Good thing is that his kids meal covers his play time fee so that’s good but it’s become dingy. So sad. Hope they replace those areas that are worn because this place was awesome!

Simply the worst customer service in the world. The menu is not good at all. We walked in and waited literally 10 minutes before even being notice. I would never go there agin.

Great place for kids to play, and adults to sit back and relax. Mitchell was a great waiter who went the extra mile to make us comfortable.

Was invited here for a party. The place was decorated very nicely for the party, but then again my friend always had great décor at her parties. The play area was great for kids. Both of mine loved it.
Our party was split between GB and the bistro next door. Our food took forever to get to us. The server was all over the place poor thing. After waiting a very long time, what we ordered had run out. Bummer. We ordered a cheeseburger and as she kept trying to make her way to us, we saw other people ask for food and she would hand them our burgers. We were guests so we didn’t complain but had it not been a party I would not have been happy with the service. Burger was worth the wait and very good, even without the bacon they ran out of also. Sangria was good.
My biggest complain is that there is no security to keep kids from running out or going out with any adult. No one by the door or high latch to open door (probably to fire safety or something) but other places do have certain precautionary methods installed.
I would definitely host a party here and hope the service is a bit in order. The staff was friendly just a but unorganized.

The most effortless birthday party I’ve ever thrown for my child! The kids played the entire 4 hours and the adults enjoyed themselves as much as the kids! The girls made every effort to make sure that my guests had food, drink and a clean place to enjoy the day. I heard nothing but compliments on the food and facility from ALL my guests! Thanks again for making my son’s 3^rd birthday so memorable!

Saw the bad reviews, I think it’s mostly open play nights. The party I went to was excellent

Totally a kid friendly environment! Free wifi so you can surf while they play! Great service and great food… I have been here a few times and this place has never let me down!!! There is a $ 12 – 15 free per kid depending on the day and it includes the food… Which is delicious! The adult entrees are great too and the price isn’t bad!

I’m writing this review as I sit here at my niece’s birthday party.
To say that this place makes Chucky Cheese look like the Ritz Carlton of kids party places is an understatement.
It’s tiny and the girls working the food counter are clueless.
On the website people raved about the fact that parents can have beer and wine. I asked for wine and of course, they weren’t selling any. Why? Who knows! They certainly didn’t. I then asked for beer and was told nope, no beer. Then 10 minutes later the beer miraculously appears… WITH ICE CUBES IN IT!!!
Seriously guys, get your act together. This place is clueless!

This place lost business of almost 20 moms/​20+ kids today. Charging $ 12 per kids? I thought it was $ 10 during weekends? And demanding adults order at least $ 10? We’ve been there many many many times before and this was never the case. Disappointing.

This place use to have DECENT food. However, after going recently i can tell you I won’t go back. The food was GROSS! The play area is great, but my son is only 2 and most of the kids were much older. If he wanted to play I’d deal with the really bad food. Overall though a huge waste of money.

Had my daughters 2^nd birthday here and it was a perfect day. The owner Elisa was super nice as well as her very attentive staff. The food was delicious, we had wings and a variety of sandwiches. The place is very clean, something that you don’t see at many indoor party places. We’ll def come back on a regular day and more than likely have another bday party here for our girls! Highly recommended!!!

I had a good experience here. We definitely need more places like this in Miami where kids can play and parents can relax for a bit. Here were my likes & dislikes from our visit:
PRO’s:
— Kids had fun: nice play area and computer area for them & we were able to keep an eye on them the entire time from our table
— Adult-​friendly: has several TV’s, a pool table, & some game consoles (& alcohol!)
— Really good food available to order from restaurant connected next door called Frenchie’s
CON’s:
— Service was slow when we went. It was late at night & pretty empty and it still took a long time to get our food & for our waitress to come
— Play area was nice but a little unstable. My son fell through the side of the trampoline because it was broken from wear
— Food portions from Frenchie’s were a little small (at least the appetizers– we didn’t get any entrees)
Overall we enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming again. FYI– there is a $ 12 entrance fee per child to play but it includes a kids meal and drink. :-)

Positive: I went today for mommy group, social parenting miami. I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the place, the fact that kids were really entertained and that the food tasted great (had the fish tacos, and my daughter the chicken strips). Paid $ 7 for daughter and that included her meal, great price in comparison to competitors.
Needs attention: Arrived at 4pm (when doors opened) and there was only our table and another person in separate table. Total of 9 people. The service was slow, food took a while, and once it got really busy (around 5ish) ordering food/​asking for check took a long time. The waiter was polite, but I feel that the workload for the two waiters that I saw, was too high.
I also filled information on the site to receive a call back in regards to rates (as they are not on the website), and possibility of group rate (since I run a large local moms group), and never heard back from the person checking those messages. I will most likely return again, but I hope that the wait time is shorter.
Additional recommendations: steps for kids to be able to wash their hands in restroom.
Staff inside the play area to watch certain areas (behind one of the slides, there are several tubes that form part of the infrastructure, which the older kids were using to climb, lawsuit waiting to happen.
More sensory toys in the toddler area.
Hand sanitizer disperser, didn’t see one at entrance of play area.

My little one and I were the first to arrive here. Had a lovely evening here with other mommies and their little ones. The server that helped us was Cecilia. She greeted me while my son was waking up from his nap after a long drive. She was gently spoken, which helped lessen the chance of my son’s freak out. She also answered all my questions before it got busy. She was very attentive to my child’s gluten free diet.
Almost a thought of getting him a burger without bun with fries ($ 7 inclusive in the entrance/​open play per child), was quickly changed into a better idea that she suggested: a nicely seasoned flourless chicken tenders also with fries. Awesome :) my little one ate them all after he was done playing. I didn’t need the to-​go-​box at all because I threw that away once it got empty.
My sea bass tacos were good value, not just price wise or portion wise. They were delicious. Limes on the side didn’t survive.
I had water, but also asked for espresso. Not impressed. I had to add my own sugar, so no crema on top you’d expect. It’s great if you’re trying to avoid sugar, I guess.
A couple of their desserts included some Nutella, but one had dulce de leche, which I also like. However, the menu mentioned it only with bananas, and that seemed a ridiculous. Maybe that’s just me, but too simple to have with a hefty price.
My little one was all over the place here. No complaints in that department.

I’ve went here a few times and for a b-​day party. It was terrible. The kids chicken nuggets took over 30 mins and they were not even served at the same time. They would bring out 3 orders at a time, so when the first kid finished, others were just starting. Some of the chicken was raw too.
It’s a great concept, but owners don’t know what they are doing. If they change management I would go again.
