Couldn’t check in cause I was too far away once I got home from work… Ok this lil gem is amazing! I have the fortunate circumstance of them having a cute little set up at the hospital I work at. My coworker and I decided to venture out of our normal routine and try it out. I had the lobster bisque soup special. It went perfectly with my deli turkey sandwich I had brought from home. Needles to say it’s now our resident Friday lunch spot. I’m so happy we tried it out. She had the veggie soup and said it was great. Score for work place lunch spots !

I’ve always loved this restaurant, ever since I first discovered it at the Miami Merchandise Mart several years ago. Their sandwiches and wraps are fantastic, and they have a variety of soups, wraps, breakfast items, and desserts! Highly recommended if you have one in your area.

This poor unfortunate soul had to get up way too early this morning to get a routine ultrasound done at Baptist Hospital to check on some pesky abdominal pain. Let me just say, having to fast kind of sucks. All I can think of is where I can go immediately after to get some breakfast. My technician recommends Au Bön Pain just downstairs in the outpatient center(8950 Building). Yay! Coffee and breakfast sandwich to the rescue. Been to many ABP’s before. This one has something special about it. Maybe it’s the nice Cuban lady who really knows how to make coffee(con espumita) or the melancholy country music playing(weird) that reminds me of my redneck roots and how much I miss my Dad who lives in Crystal River. I ordered my sammich to go but felt compelled to sit, relax, and enjoy my cup of coffee without rushing for once. I highly recommend the #53 egg whites, cheddar and avocado on a croissant with lemon aioli. Tres bien! Glad I stopped in!

In a nutshell– Fast, friendly and tasty. Ordered Sedona chicken(with roasted peppers, sundries tomato sauce n cheese) and was delicious. Sandwich guy was very accommodating with a change. Took under 5min at lunchtime. Register girl got me a free coffee sample and then passed around pumpkin cake samples. Fresh cookies were good too, Mmmm… 5 star is reserved for a blown mind, but this was an enjoyable experience, and will pass by again if I’m in baptist!

So this is where you’ll find me every weekday from 11:30 til 12:30. Just in case you’re thinking of stalking me. I LOVE this place. And I thank the food gods sitting on their fluffy marshmallow clouds for this place everyday. Why you ask? Because i work at Baptist and«the Caf», as I adoringly call it, doesn’t quite cut it. I am seriously addicted to their Caprese Sandwich. Oh and their Mediterranean Wrap is extremely habit-forming, it’s scary. And their soups are super yummy! I like their spicy Southwestern Corn Chowder. But all of em are reallllllyyyyyyy good! AND they serve breakfast!!! YAY!(my favorite meal!) My healthy butt likes the Egg n Cheese sandwiches but those muffins, empanadas and pastries are to die for! And their coladas(cuban coffee for all you gringos) are the best, hands down! All their ingredients are fresh. Like their tomatoes and lettuce were just brought in, freshly picked, from the farm. You can TASTE the difference. And it’s nice when the staff goes out of their way to greet you by name, remember your sandwich order the way you like it, and EVEN put out your favorite soups the days that you work :) Bottom Line: They make my work days a little bit brighter. Knowing I have a delicious, nutritious, super yummy meal waiting for me the days I forget to pack a lunch(without having to leave work and go through hell trying to find a parking when i get back ughhhhhh) is definitely a wonderful thing. I LOVEYOUGUYS!!!
