History

Established in 1985.

Art’s Work Unlimited is a full service custom metal shop owned by metal smith artists’ Art Ballard and Phil Heermance. They each have over 30 years experience, with both ancient and innovative techniques to create some of the finest and most unusual metalwork in the national arena of metal art. Many of their pieces are considered collectibles.

They have won 44 awards in national and international metal competitions as of 2012, including the coveted Mitch Heitler Award, three times for overall excellence. In addition, they have been written up in the Miami Herald’s «Home and Design» section for their displays of outstanding craftsmanship, quality and originality of their work throughout South Florida. Also, the television program New Florida and HGTV filmed documentaries at their Shop showing the fabrication process and their artistic creations on gates and stair railings.

They have a national reputation with many Architects, Designers, and Builders.
