100 Montaditos

I went here on the recommendation of my GF. I kept putting it off as i dont like places right downtown or right in south beach. I live there, i dont need to eat in that zoo as well. But i sucked it up and went.
The menu is awesome. Choose one or 10 sandwiches, and every Tuesday (i think) everything is a dollar.
The concept/​menu is so great because everything is under $ 3, you can literally design your own meal. I recommend just getting 10 different sandwiches because i tried several i didnt think id like and ended of loving them.
Its a nice location, fast service, nice staffers (willing to explain anything) and AMAZING homemade bread to compliment their amazing littany of sandwiches.

While in Spain, I knew about 100 Montaditos, but the idea of going there always seemed silly because I could get cheaper beer and better food in a neighborhood cafeteria. Ah, but when the craving for jamon serrano strikes, beggars can’t be choosers… especially when 100 Montaditos in the US seems like a relative bargain for the broke student whose stomach has not been able to handle many outlandish things lately.
Yes, there are actually one hundred montaditos on the menu, but only about ten or so (the least expensive — go figure, at $ 1 each) are truly traditional montaditos you would find in Spain. Everything else is just catering to American tastes of having a sandwich brimming with sauces, spreads, dressings, and extraneous ingredients. (I’m not sure they have smores montaditos in Madrid.) These types of sandwiches can cost up to $ 2.50 each.
Unless you’re ordering a montadito with jamon serrano or some sort of embutido (chorizo, salchichon, or one of the other cured meats available), my advice would be not to bother. Not only is the tortilla horrible, but it comes in a «brava» sauce, which is spicy ketchup. Disgusting. And the «patatas bravas» are thickly cut french fries that come with the same revolting brava sauce and an «aioli» sauce that is more like Ranch dressing and less like a garlic mayonnaise.
But 100 Montaditos does have its redeeming quality: the cheap drinks. Whether it’s a big pint of Mahou (not the best beer, but whatever) or a tinto de verano (my personal favorite, they’re made very well even though there’s no La Casera soda available) for $ 3.50, I am a huge fan of the prices. (A warm Coors Light on Miami Beach will set you back at least $ 10!)
This location is also a little more civilized because they do not participate in $ 1 Montadito Wednesday (where all of the montaditos on the menu are $ 1). I have found the service to be nothing short of polite and friendly: I have had a tinto de verano served in a large glass after being very nice to one of the harried servers. Even if I leave the «patatas bravas» untouched, even if there’s the option to do the unthinkable and put cream cheese on jamon serrano, all hope is not lost at 100 Montaditos.

I strongly recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner. I seriously loved those little sandwiches. They have a good variety of flavors and toppings. I would definitely go back there. This is not a normal restaurant with servers and hostesses. Even though you gotta go get up and get your food at a window and the tables and chairs are really uncomfortable, the food totally makes up for it. For regular people their menu may seem a little confusing but the cashier is willing to explain how to order your food. Me and my wife had 3 sandwiches each and shared a sweet one, they were all delicious. the sweet sandwich was too much for my wife but she doesn’t really have a sweet paladar like me. i loved it!
You gotta try 100 montaditos at least once…

This location is pretty solid, even when it gets busy on $ 1 Wednesdays they still manage to get you in and out efficiently. I think the space itself is pretty large and they have it laid out in a way that allows for a lot of small groups to sit even when the place is packed. If you come in a group larger than 4 though, there is a good chance that you won’t find enough comfortable space for everyone during the rush times; so make sure you are coming with people you really like and don’t mind squishing together with if it will be a party of 5 or more.
I’ve also discovered the secret to getting little sammies that are chockfull of ingredients and don’t feel so bready; go VEGETARIAN! Dead serious, all the montaditos that are vegetarian tend to be overflowing whereas the meat ones tend to be skimpy. Two veggie sammies and a salad on Wednesday all for $ 4 and some change make Tashi a happy koala.

Although their Wednesday’s are quite popular for low priced $ 1 everything, the staff does a good job placing your order quickly. If you’re on a time crunch during your one hour lunch. I would suggest arriving an average of 10 minutes before noon to beat the rush. I have arrived at 11:55 a.m. just in time to catch only a couple people in line. Received my food, sat down, ate and walked out the door with plenty of time to spare.

Move over, Starbucks! 100 Montaditos is slowly taking over Miami like how Genghis Khan conquered most of Eurasia. There seems to be a 100 Montaditos at every popular corner of Miami now.
I came here before volunteering at Downtown’s Miami International Book Fair, and their montaditos were pretty good. Since it was a Friday (not a Wednesday), I ordered primarily off the $ 1 section of their menu, and I have to admit it made me want to go here more often. Their soft warm bread just makes everything enjoyable here.
There is a flat screen here to watch sporting games.
I have to deduct one star because the table we sat had crumbs on it. You could tell it was not cleaned.

Simple, inexpensive and fast.
Pair all of the above with my new food whore Roberto B. who is an immensely delightful lunch companion and WALLA, the perfect Friday lunch combination.
The whole concept is genius, small sandwiches ranging in price from $ 1 each to $ 3 each! One beer brand, wine, sangria and sodas. Two desserts.
100 Montaditos bread is TO.DIE.FOR! I wish they would sell it to take home because I could eat that stuff all day every day.
The Spicy Brava Potatoes are a meal all on their own! (yes, the Irish girl needs her spuds).
Pop in, place your order at the counter, grab yourself a high-​top near the window and watch the world go by.

Love this location! The setup inside flows better than the Midtown location and it definitely takes the number of customres down at the Midtown location too.

OMG. This is my new favorite restaurant. Seriously, somewhere in Miami that sells yummy sandwiches for a dollar or two each?! This is a great spot to hit for lunch or even dinner, if you love sandwiches as much as I do.
There are 100 choices, hence the name, and I’ve yet to find one I don’t like. Any of the ones with ali oli are so good. There is something for everyone: veggie, pulled pork, ham, Spanish omelet, shrimp, whatever you’re craving. The dessert sandwiches (with a chocolate Nutella-​like spread) are a nice note to end on.
I’ve been a couple times and tried different sampler platters — $ 6 – 8 for a few sandwiches and some chips. The first time we went they made our order twice by accident, so let us have double!
If you’re a Spanish food lover or if you’ve never tried it before, this is a great place to get a cheap delicious meal! It would be super fun to have them cater a party as well.

100 Montaditos brings their tiny delectable sandwiches downtown. Thankfully, this location is larger than the one in midtown. Trust me, if you plan to go on Dollarmania Wednesdays, you need more space. Everything is $ 1 and it gets super-​packed (atleast it does at the midtown one).
Located in the ground floor of the Vizcayne building, it is pretty convenient to the Metromover (get off at the College/​Bayside station and walk down 3^rd street to where it meets Biscayne.) Obviously there is no free parking, this IS downtown, but there are plenty of nearby lots.
What is a montadito? What?! You haven’t had one? It is a tiny (4-​inches or so) sandwich on freshly baked bread (they have white & whole wheat baguettes, and ciabbattas) filled with your choice of 100 possibilities. From classic, to crazy, to sweet, they have it all. Seriously, I wish I would have come up with this concept. Genius!
Here are the advertised specials: Dollarmania, every Wednesday EVERYTHING on the menu is $ 1. Thirsty Thursdays, Beer or Sangria are $ 1 with the purchase of any montadito. Double Fever the Most Wanted, every Friday get two buckets for $ 15.
For the ultimate 100 montaditos experience: Get there early on a Wednesday, snag a table with your friends, fill out the order card (make sure to order some extra rounds of drinks to make it easier) and let your inner-​cheapskate have the time of its life.

What a great place. Unsure of the concept originally, I was a little thrown off or overwhelmed rather by the menu. I mean for someone who is always hungry like myself 100 sandwich choices are a lot to review, luckily I’m full of patience and so are the employees.
I loved that essentially this place a tapas version of sandwiches with them ranging from $ 1:00 to a few dollars, you can mix and match and try as many as you’d like without feeling like you’ve eating your way through a deli.
The sangria wasn’t my favorite, but for $ 3.50 who is really going to complain? It essentially is a general mixture and doesn’t have any real fruit in it. I guess I’ll go to the beach for that.
Definitely a place I’d go again and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a small bite and especially anyone on a budget.
