History

Established in 2015.

Mercado de San Miguel is a historical and monumental market located in the heart of Madrid, Spain. Originally built in 1916 by Alfonso Dubé, a disciple of the famous French architect Gustave Eiffel of the Eiffel Tower. In 2003, the market went under renovation and reopened in 2009 as a traditional market for the 21st Century.

Mercado has become the most popular market in Madrid amongst tourists and locals alike since it is located just outside the walls of Plaza Mayor. The lively market’s mission is to offer a gastronomical experience to its residents and visitors. With over 33 specialized vendors selling a wide variety of gourmet tapas, local produce, seafood, premier meats and cheeses, freshly baked goods, as well as a large selection of beer and wine.

In 2015, La Feria was created as a pop-up version of the Mercado de San Miguel and was brought to America. Miami was the chosen location for the first market. La Feria will be traveling to multiple cities throughout the world.
