Sixt Rent a Car

First time I rented with Sixt — super easy booking, pick-​up and drop-​off process, friendly and polite staff. Slight delay to pick-​up the car, but very nice free upgrade. They tried to sell their insurance, but in a polite manner. Drop-​off process very easy with invoice delivered via email within 48h — no bad surprises. Would recommend purchasing the flat express toll fee of $ 7.99, which covers all toll payments in FL. Great experience — would definitely recommend

The representative was not patient at all– she didn’t allow us to waive the insurance when we said we actually had our own insurance. Also, we didn’t get the Mini Cooper that we reserved 50 days ago but ended up getting a Hyundai Elantra and were charged $ 100 more than our prepaid for the insurance. Paying more than $ 100 per day for a Hyundai Elantra, are you kidding me?

I called this location and made a reservation. In fact, I spoke to two representatives. They both quote me $ 300 for pickup at 11am and return at 4pm on the second day. Later on, they charged my credit card for $ 600 and said the contract I signed is to return before 11am.

I rented a car from sixt 2 weeks ago and returned it today. I was extremely happy with the customer service. Everyone was friendly and helpful and contrary to other opinions, did not pressure me to add any services or upgrade. I would definitely rent from them again.

I’m not a complain person, but when someone cheats on me I not shine to share.
I rent a car for a day. From 04/​22/​2015 till 04/​23/​2015. I returned car the same night and after two days receive an email, that car is not returned. After a call I find out that nobody even checked do this car returned (left in the garage in car return spot).
So what they did they charged me for two day car rental even I was renting for one day t. y for half day. Because of lazy people who work there. Nobody checked is car was returned or not. Just after two days when I call them to find out what is going on.
Of course I called them to find out what is going on and never got call back when I ask to talk with manager. She was busy to call me back. Just send me invoice with double amount of what it was for final price.
Thank you guys for ripping me off and it’s shame that these days you can act like this.

This is the most horrible business I have been to. I did a reservation online and when I when to pick up the car they wanted to give me something completely different. This is the easiest way to lie to ppl. Also, when I went to pick up the car, the receptionist was extremely rude, she treated me as if she was doing me a favor for answering my questions. The experience was horrible overall. If it was it for me, I’ll give less than one star !

I was extremely impressed with this company. We got a free upgrade to a Chrysler 300 with full leather, nav, XM radio etc. and only had 40 miles on it. We only paid for an economy car. If you’re under 25, the fee is only $ 9.99 instead of the normal $ 20+

Very clean and efficient office. We picked up and returned early in the morning (they don’t take returns after 7PM), so no one else was even there, which was nice. Some construction around the building made the process a little confusing, but that should be cleared soon. Will definitely look into Sixt in the future for rentals.

Great experience renting from these guys. Quick and efficient check in/​out process. The rep even offered to take the car up to the lot himself when I returned. I love their use of technology, all rent and car usage details come in an email or text message. Great rates. Definitely will be renting from this company again.

I got my car in Fort Lauderdale and my check out was at Collins unit. Quick and effecient check out process. By an excellent cost benefit I drove a BMW 5 series for 9 days. I really recommend Sixt and will be renting from this company again.

Let me clear the basics first: nice office, friendly staff, nice cars. Booking on-​line was simple, I even received a slight upgrade.
But, I will always give a 1 star to any business that is misleading customers. In my case it had to do with the option of «prepaid fuel». I explicitly asked the employee how Sixt applies this policy due to an unpleasant previous experience with Avis. The response was clear: you pay for the missing fuel when you bring the car back. The Sixt employee was absolutely clear about this: I won’t be charged for the gasoline that will be left in the tank. It was a no-​brainer, I prepaid.
Of course you know how the story ended. I brought back ¹⁄₃ of the tank and was charged for a full one. Great job, many thanks. In normal life this would be called a fraud, but for Sixt it clearly isn’t, because there was a small print somewhere that I have not read. I’ll happily bring the issue to the attention of the Consumer Protection office in Miami (

It’s a pity, because the rest of the rental experience was smooth.
