Courtyard Cadillac Miami Beach/Oceanfront

This hotel is very well located right on the beach. And the physical property is wonderful. But how a Marriott property can allow its front desk to leave its phone off the hook is beyond me. I checked in after 10:00 pm, the room looked fine and the bathroom was very clean and bright. But the tv would not work no matter how I fiddled. Called the front desk, busy. Called the operator, busy but finally answered. But when she rang the desk, no answer again (maybe the same person?). Next I used the cell phone to call the external hotel number and finally got the front desk. The electrician came and basically wriggled the cable behind and fidgeted a certain way so it worked. He probably did this before many times.
I booked a room with reward points and maybe that accounts for some of the problems. But I trly can’t understand the front desk phone. Only saving grace for the hotel is its location. There has to be local management problems.

I had reservations after reading reviews but advised to go by two different parties. We were very pleased with our stay. Friendly staff. Nice clean pools, great beach access with chairs umbrellas and cabana for additional charges (expected). Vinny and Gabriel took care of us at the beach and pool. Great crew.
Room and view were nice and support/​cleaning staff were good and timely (meeting our requested cleaning times). Tiki bar was great.
Food service was Carrabas and was average as expected. Starbucks open 6:30−3.
Would return.

Good spot yet — only take a room in the new tower, and don’t have breakfast at the hotel — several better friendly cheaper options at neighboring hotels — Crydon.
Also Marriotts no kids — only Adult pool is wonderful

My husband and I were there between Xmas and New Years. It was probably our 5^th visit to this property. As my husband is a platinum member of Marriot, we were staying on points. We will never come back to this property. When you know you are going to have a full house, put a full staff on. This poor staff was overwhelmed!
All negative reviews are right on. I don’t know what was the worst part of our stay. From being treated poorly by Daniel Xmas Eve, to horrendous breakfast, no towels at pool, children at adult pool, lack of rooms being cleaned, cleanliness of the property and just not what we were used to at this property. GM Mauricio did reach out, but corporate best step in and get this property back on track !!! Totally ruined my vacation. And still dealing with messed up bill. Uggh.. On a positive note Talde next door at The Thompson hotel is fabulous !!!

We were here between Christmas and New Years and the hotel was fully booked. For a category 7 Marriott it did not live up to the standards. Things slipped through — reception, valet and rooms service did not communicate well most of the time. Room service extension was engaged every time we called.
Day 1 — no valet parking available. Had to park at the hotel next door. Got the smallest room possible.
Day 2 — switched to a bigger room as per availability. TV did not work and was not fixed for the entire stay. Fridge was missing from the room
Day 3 — housekeeping dint clean the room till 7 pm. Had to call to ensure it was done. Some of the things dint get restocked in the room.
We noticed a few marks on the bumper of our rental car. It’s hard to say, but could have happened while in valet.
Pros — beautiful property. Access to beach. Starbucks on site. Some of the staff was really helpful.

On my weekend trip to Miami, I decided to arrive a day earlier than my best friend, so I could get up and enjoy the beach in the AM. I decided for that short night I would stay in the Courtyard Cadillac. After a long day and a long ride from the airport to the hotel, I finally arrived at the Courtyard Cadillac around 11:30pm. I assumed this would be great timing because everyone should be sleep– it was a Thursday night and no one would be checking in that late. Umm wrong ! There happened to be an indecisive family in front of me that could not decide what room arrangement they wanted. From their 20 minute prolonged check in, I assumed the hotel messed up their room arrangement. That really wasn’t my concern and I was trying to get to my bed! Finally, the family decided to take what the hotel had for them and move along. The front desk lady was able to check me into my room and explain to me the features of the hotel. One thing that was explained to me was breakfast. Just hold that thought and I will come back to this…
When I got to my room, I noticed it was very basic and I am not sure when the last time the room was renovated. It wasn’t in the worst shape but it wasn’t in the best shape. The bath room was actually much more well kept in my opinion, than the sleeping area. There was also a sign that said «LOCK UP YOUR VALUEABLES». This kind of scared me because I wondered if I didn’t leave my room available to the generally public would the house keeper steal? I had never seen that sign before in a room. When I woke up the next morning, I noticed a stain on my sheets that I did not put it there and could only assume the house keeper did not notice this on the new sheets or the sheets were just not changed. I went downstairs and informed the front desk and they said they would have someone contact me shortly to take a look at the room. After that I headed to the breakfast area. I assumed the breakfast was included with my stay since the lady at the front desk told me about the breakfast times and did not state there was a fee. So, I went ahead and fixed my plate and found an empty table. A few moments later a rude waiter asked me why I was sitting at a large table and told me I needed to move to a smaller one and footed me the tab for breakfast. I tried to explain that no one told me there was a fee for breakfast but he soon pointed out the hostess (that was not in sight when I came downstairs) and explained I had to pay $ 20 something dollars for a blah breakfast. I totally was not feeling the hotel after this. The hotel manager finally found me and we went up to inspect the sheets in my room. He apologized for the issue and told me the would work something out with my hotel bill. After all this I just wanted to go to the beach. I finally walked out from the dining area, past the pools, and a little further to the beach area. This hotel has one of the nicest beach areas on south beach, so I will give them that. I decided to take a morning stroll on the beach and the further south I went the stinker and darker the water got. This hotel is really far from the jumping and party action of south beach, so if you stay here I hope you are expecting to commute or just plan relax.

Absolutely loved our stay here during a 3 night stay in the last week of September. Good location for the beach area and easy transport from the airport.
It would have been nice to have more eating/​convenience stores around but really with the good Restaraunt on site it wasn’t really a bother (just pricey).
Would definitely go back again.

short cab ride from South Beach, its a great family friendly hotel with beautiful pool and beach access. Well kept and clean rooms for a vacation stay. The only negative is the ramp to the lobby is narrow and cars have a hard time picking up or dropping off.

I’ve stayed in significantly more opulent establishments, but the staff here was nice except the head bellhop… what a GIANT bottle of massengill, seriously bro… pipe the f#ck down.
The valet -$ 40 a day– is out of control, but the room rate is decent and parking in Miami is just that crappy.
The polls are nice, very crowded though. there is an adults only pool… no that’s not Oscar Meyer and T&A adult, just no kiddos. Stake your lot early… nine or ten-​ish. Otherwise, head to the beach which is beautiful and not crowded… and topless optional (5% do) if that’s your bag.
Rooms were small, but bed was comfortable.
Again…nice staff, good location and great price.

Love love love this place. Waking up here is one of the best experiences I have ever had. The rooms are nice the views are breathtaking and the customer service is beyond wonderful. I will be back one day. We love it the best out of all the ocean front hotels we’ve ever stayed at.

Not bad but it could be a lot better!
The rooms are kind of small and the food at the pool bar was not impressive at all. As in pretty much every hotel in Miami beach; vallet is the only parking option, which is fine! but be aware that they take up to a half hour to get your car to you. When you arrive you’ll get a card with a code and a phone number and you are supposed to send a text when you need your car so I did like 3 time all of which my car was never there and they would just say that sometimes the messages wont go thru. The people at the front desk and pool areas were friendly. The pools are nice and it is great that they have one for families and one just for adults!

Let’s call it what it is, a poolside Carrabas. Nothing against the chain, I’ve had my fair share in college, but don’t expect the same hand-​crafted cocktails you find up and down the beach. It’s conveniently located off the boardwalk and have a pretty nice happy hour until 7 PM. You can’t beat the beach location and casual atmosphere for a weekday escape. Stick to the classics — beer or beer.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and we were completely satisfied with EVERYONE!
Mostly everyone is nice! Keisha, the manager, is a complete sweetheart. The gentlemen outside are awesome! They always helped us locate a cab that can pick up 5 ppl.

I worked for marriott for many years, so I am a tough critic in this industry.
This hotel is not bad, for a courtyard.
Service was good. Everyone was friendly and polite. However, obtaining my car from the valet staff, took a while, despite me being the only person waiting. Valet staff wasn’t that friendly, but I am asking hey are subcontracted.
Only stayed for one night, didn’t have time to walk the hotel much. Room was clean and organized, it did however have that «old south beach hotel smell».
They’ve done a good job at renovating the lobby and indoor restaurant. Pool can use restructure and more modern flooring, didn’t say much.

–Outdoor restaurant seemed to have a good menu going, there were many people eating.
Good experience for someone who wants to spend most of their time at the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Just what the doctor (aka the longest winter ever) ordered. Arrived right around check-​in on a Wednesday, and from then until our check-​out on Saturday we had a lovely time. Anywhere you want to go is a short cab ride away, so you can enjoy both the quiet of the beach and the lively nightlife of Miami!
Food-​wise, the breakfast buffet and the Carraba’s tiki hut get the job done — nothing special. Happy hour specials to be had at both the lobby and tiki bars so check them out!

We got an amazing deal for this hotel on
otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to afford this place. The only negative about this place is their valet parking is $ 35. That’s too rich for my blood. If you didn’t drive or if you have the patience to look for street parking like we did then this doesn’t concern you. This hotel is connected to Carrabba’s Itialian Grill (see my review for Carrabba’s) so you don’t have to leave the hotel to get a bite to eat. We arrived at night and happy hour was until midnight which was AWESOME! My husband had two Vodka and Cranberry’s for $ 9.00. Sweet, right?!
The décor in the lobby and out back is beautiful at night. So romantic. The glow from both pools and the lights on the stairs set the mood just right. We were there last month and it was pretty windy so we didn’t stay out there too long but whether permitting, if you are out there with «the one» somebody is getting lucky that night.
The room was clean and modern. Flat screen TV was HD. No renovations needed. The room had a refrigerator but no microwave. There was a microwave in the lobby though. The lobby is huge. Enough space and sitting to hang if you’re in a large group.

Visited South Beach Miami 2 weeks ago and stayed at the Courtyard Cadillac for one night. This is not your typical Courtyard, as it does have the SoBe flair to it. When I walked in the lobby Thurs eve, there was a DJ spinning tunes, felt like this would turn into a nightclub!
Location, location, location! Backing up to beach with direct access & facing Collins Ave. Does this justify the $ 350 a night stay? No but apparently these are the norm prices, and they go up from there. Mind you I paid with points as I have never paid more than $ 120 -$ 180 for any other courtyard around the U.S.
The hotel has a nice size pool & out the back to the board walk. I enjoyed a jog next morning among hundreds of other joggers. You can re-​enter through the same gate using your room key.
I received a written letter telling me 11 am is a must leave time or ELSE I would be charged another night. Stayed 18 nights last year at Marriott hotels around the U.S. Not necessary Courtyard Cadillac Management, thanks for your hospitality.

We just loved our stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are kept very clean and they are very spacious. The pools are clean and the attendants are very friendly. The staff in the downstairs restaurant are also welcoming and appeared to love their jobs. The parking attendants seem to get a little backed up in the evening and it can take as long as 30 minutes to get your car from the valet. The beach chairs are a little on the pricey side with $ 20 for the chair and 35 for the chair with the umbrella for the day. The sheets and towels are soft. The products and the bathroom are top-​quality. The response time from the staff to bring extra towels and blankets is very quick. The recommend from the concierge for meals were well thought out and appropriate. I would love to go back anytime.

3) food at hotel is mostly taken care of by carrabas restaurant and is excellent. I recommend everything on the poolside menu and drinks are amazing as well.
4) beach is amazing water temperature on New Year’s Eve is around 80++ degrees, this is unbelievable considering its December and freezing cold in other parts of the country.
Another really cool feature of the Miami beaches is that you can swim out for at least a mile on shallow water which is cool, because the farther you swim out the nicer and cleaner the water is.
I paid over 600 a night and this particular hotel is not a 600@night hotel. Considering its high season and a holiday I had few choices.
My only complaint was that pit bull was having a New Years concert next door and although I am a fan I was not able to sleep past 6:30am when his crew started banging. Away to set up for the New Year’s Eve party.
I did speak with the manager here at Courtyard «Yessica Panchame» and let her know of the noise issues and she did make adjustments to my rate and was very understanding. Now the plus side of all the banging noise is that I will have a front row seat to the pit bull New Years bash from my balcony here at the Marriott.
I would stay here again and enjoyed my time.

What a nice surprise!
My cruise line put me into this hotel for the night before my cruise. Being so far from the port made me a bit apprehensive as well as there being nothing in the area. I arrived at the hotel around 3 pm and was promptly checked in.
This is where the star comes off — the person at the hotel front desk was not super knowledgeable about the NCL shuttles which come on a weekly basis. I was finally able to get my question answered (very basic question), but it took some calling around on my part. I was also not issued a towel card. The people at the pool graciously made one for me, but I was not made aware of this at check-​in.
Otherwise, the room was quite spacious and had a refrigerator. They used Paul Mitchell products. This was a welcome retreat to unfamiliar hotel toiletry brands. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
They had a great pool area with all kinds of chairs. One word of warning — This is not a quiet pool People were around talking and having a great time. There is also easy access to the beach. You do need to pay $ 13 for a chair and umbrella, however.
The staff is very friendly. I was even offered popcorn as I walked in from the pool!
One hint — Breakfast here is pricey. There is a small Cuban grocery store across the street that offers great, gigantic breakfast sandwiches for around $ 5.
