As of at least January 2, 2015, this place is closed. Sign on the door said the building is unsafe. Not sure if they plan to reopen.

Tried to get lunch
Got kicked out 20 minutes before closing.
The reason was the waitress /​host or whatever she was didn’t want to stay «an hour» like she said until we finish eating.
Absolutely amazed we left the restaurant.
I will never treat anyone so disrespectfully.

Some good dishes and am excellent location but the service is neglectful and unfriendly. The menu also has not changed literally in years.

I have to try the crepes. Too much caffeine already courses through my body. The Grog will do just fine (Rhum, Lemon, Honey). Perhaps I will work up to a Croque Monsieur but my reasoning for visiting this whole in the wall French café is to read, wrote and relax while escaping the pouring rain the canceled my waterfront reservation.
I read earlier that sometimes you need to walk up to a stranger and say hi. Be adventurous and leave no stone unturned. You never know what you’re missing and right now I’m feeling very content

I went to this place two times. Crepes are amazing the staff is very plaisant and took time to speak with us. For sure I will go back soon

Small, cute French spot near the park. I love coming here on sunny days, grabbing a small table, ordering a bowl of coffee (yes, a bowl), closing my eyes and imagining I’m in France.
This place gives off such a nice vibe — or maybe that’s the massive amounts of caffeine I consume every time I come. And the food’s not bad either.
I always have trouble choosing from the MASSIVE menu, but as you can imagine, the crepes are pretty damn good. The escargot is great, and the croque monsieur — don’t even get me started on how good that is.
For some reason, I feel like this is a great spot to meet someone for a serious discussion. A la Folie makes me romanticize breaking up with someone over coffee. If that’s what you’re looking for — this is the place! Otherwise, it’s still pretty great.

Really nice place to have a light meal alone or with a friend. Waitstaff is friendly and food comes out very quickly. I wouldn’t suggest it for large groups.

Partner in crime is OBSESSED with crepes and nutella, so when i heard this café specializes in crepes we stopped by. We asked for a nutella, strawberry and pear crêpe. It probably would have been great if they had taken the time to do one thing.
The pears unfortunately were not fresh, so fruit in a can has water and juice in it, well when they added the pears in the crêpe they did not drain them. so the crêpe on the bottom was wet and soggy. That is not what you want in a crêpe. NO WAY, JOSE.
Maybe i can give them another try and specify to drain the canned fruit first, or just omit the pears?
i mean, i am not an expert in the kitchen but a soggy crêpe??? c’mon

Servers are rude. Some antisemitic. They argue with customers. Some are high on some weird drugs. Very uncomfortable.
They pretend they want to invite you for a glass of wine because you’re friendly then ask you to pay for it.
Onion soup had too much pepper. Quiche aux poireaux was dry.
Service has always been bad for 4 or 5 years but at least food was good. Now even food is terrible.

OK place.
Breakfasts are a little limited. Authentic crepes… they are pretty tasty. Service was OK too.
Nothing really stood out here.

I love crepes and I was really looking forward to trying out this quieter location. Had the caramelized pears, Brie and walnuts crêpe. Nothing to write home about. Crêpe was dry. Pears could have used more cooking time. They were stingy with the Brie. Walnuts were a nice crunchy touch. The place is charming and the outside seating on a cool night is nice. There is a new parking garage down the street which makes parking much easier.

Crepes were delicious and service was great! The restaurant is very small, but cozy and comfortable. I would definitely come back if I am ever in Miami again.

We came the weekend before NYE and I wasn’t really impressed. First of all, the place is kind of cute, so 1 star. The service was pleasant and quick, 2 stars. Food — minus 3 stars. I am really sorry but you can rub my back by the pool but if I am paying for food, it should be good. The prices were good so it wasn’t a complete loss but here is my assesment:
My wife and I each had a savory crêpe. The crêpe itself was super salty and the food can be described as limp. My wife’s crêpe contained spinach… canned spinach. Or so it seemed. My crêpe had sausage in it and was super gamey. Wow, we were just let down. Mostly by the spinach and the salty crepes though.

Good french crepes, very thin so don’t come too hungry (or order dessert as well).
I ordered the Italienne with mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and prosciutto. It was good and the cheese was melted inside and the prosciutto was not dried.
My husband got the norvegienne with smoked salmon, brie and mushrooms and it was good as well.
The crepes are served with two wedges of tomatoes and a small side salad. I didn’t like the side salad because it was drowned in dressing and made the leaves very wet.
Didn’t get dessert because I was not feeling like having another crêpe for dessert and just wanted ice cream. However they only have crêpe desserts.
Service is nice but he is alone so kind of slow.
I wish they will fill their crêpe more.

A nice hole in the wall off the beaten path. We came here on a whim because they had crepes on the menu. I got a small iced latte, which was really good and super large! I got the chicken, spinach, and mushroom crêpe and my gf got the smoked salmon and brie crêpe. We got sides of bechamel sauce. I thought the crepes were just ok. The chicken was a little dry and there was no sauce inside. Hence, why I needed the bechamel sauce. But the sauce was not as creamy as I usually have it. I had to use a lot to put some flavor onto my crêpe. My friend’s crêpe was ok, but I am not a fan of smoked salmon and brie? The crepes came with a side salad which just looked kind of sad. It was wilted and tasted like it was old.
Maybe I needed to try something else? Should’ve looked more closely at the other reviews! But I do agree that the waiter was super friendly and accommodating.

Amazing place to get breakfast. Coffee is delicious and so is the totale crêpe with eggs and mushrooms. YUM. Cool place to hang out in and read a book.

We wanted to find a good brunch place and A la Folie was listed as one of the top brunch places in Miami.
When we pulled up, we were surprised on how tiny the place is. It can maybe fit a max of 15 – 20 people. Luckily it was raining so it wasn’t too packed. The place is small and charming.
The waiter was super nice (and cute) who seemed to actually be French (at least from what we could tell from his accent). We enjoyed hearing him sing along and dance to the music that was playing while he served coffee/​food (adooorabblleeee)
We started with the small cheese plate which was really good. Came with about 5 different cheeses, walnuts, pear slices and grapes. It was actually big enough to feed the group of 5 of us (I’m wondering how big the large one is).
I got the duck crêpe which sounded really good. It came in an orange glaze which was interesting but I would recommend if you like duck. My friends got sweet crepes (apple) which were also very tasty. My other friend got the pâté sandwich which I would highly recommend.
If you like French sandwiches or crepes, I would highly recommend and come back again.
Not good for large parties (due to the size). Takes credit card, serves wine/​beer and espresso drinks. Reasonably priced.

A friend took me here for lunch. I didnt know what to expect since the only Crêpe shop that I’ve been to is the Crepemakers at the mall. But this is whole new experience. The servers and staff all speak French and mostly only speak to you in French. I guess this is where I can go to test out those french lessons that I have been taking.
The lunch was portion controlled but especially filling. The beverages are all made WITHOUT SUGAR! please be aware of this. I ordered the Totale Crêpe: ham, swiss cheese, egg, and mushrooms, with a side salad. I must say that the food was wonderful.
Dining a Fresca on the side walk is nice, however if you sit at the tables closest to the street be ready for construction trucks and very loud vehicle roaring by behind your head.
All in all i will be back to see what other items on the menu I might like.

This place is EXCELLENT and AUTHENTIC! It is exactly what you would find in France: sweet little, no nonsense café where you can get a café au lait that will blow your mind (the large actually comes in a bowl!)
The foie gras was delicious and a very generous portion which was unexpected and appreciated; we love foie gras and we could not even finish it; had to pack it to go!
My favorite brunch spot in South beach hands down!
