Paretti Mazda

3 weeks ago I went in to test drive a used Mazda hatchback that I had been looking at on their website. For 2 weeks I had been in contact with Troy Lyle their sales manager getting information about this car. The day before (Friday) I made a 4 hour trip to come look at this car with the intentions of buying and driving it off the lot, I emailed Troy and made sure it was still available and not sold. He told me they open at 9am on Saturday and I could come in and test drive the car in the morning. At 10AM I arrived at the dealership, and spoke with a salesman told him who I was and who I had been talking to. He told me Troy was busy, and pointed to a man behind a desk in the corner of the building. So I told him the car I was their to test drive. He went to get the keys, but could not find them… hmmm… Then went and talked to Troy for the first time. As I watched their conversation I realized what exactly was going on. The salesman then had to come inform me they sold the car… onThursday…at this point I became livid and everybody in the showroom heard how mad I was.
1 of 2 things had happened.
1 Troy was to lazy to actually do his job and check on the car Friday when I contacted him to see if it was even there. Then sat behind his desk like a COWARD and sent another salesman to give me the bad news.
Or
2 he purposely withheld the information that the car had been sold just to get me to the lot, knowing I was taking a 4 hour trip.
I choose to believe 2. I immediately left before I made too much of a scene. Later that day at another dealership I purchased a car. The underhanded business technique taken by your sales manager lost you a possible sale that day. Get your shit together.

Went to Paretti Mazda last July. I was adamant about purchasing a Mazda 3. I was able to test drive a vehicle that I was ready to purchase then and there. Upon getting to the negotiating point, the salesperson — an older gentleman — flat out lied, telling me that the MSRP was what the dealer had paid for the car, and thus that they could not and would not negotiate.
I’m not an idiot. He obviously thought otherwise. I quickly replied that I knew that they did not pay MSRP for the car, and that I wouldn’t be either. He refused to budge. I can’t help but wonder if their willingness to take advantage was due to my parents speaking Spanish (and very little /​poorly accented English). Whatever it was, we were obviously being taken advantage of.
I walked right out and bought my car at Royal Honda. My advice is you do the same. No one has room for lying and bigotry while buying cars. I will never recommend Paretti Mazda to anyone after their horrible treatment.

I am a car guy. Mostly a sports car and muscle car guy, but a lover of all cars nonetheless. My family knows how much I love cars, therefore, whenever someone in my family is looking to buy or lease a new car, they always ask for my assistance.
I love to do research on cars and negotiate deals. Perhaps it’s my gift of gab. However, when I recently got a call from my uncle who wanted a new compact car, I immediately thought of the Mazda 3, as it’s a drivers car that has Zoom Zoom roots.
I immediately reached out to lifelong friends and half-​sisters Robyn Paretti and Monique Demma-​Clarius. They both advised me to see Sales Manager Troy Lyle. So I call Mr. Lyle on the phone, tell him who referred me, tell him what my uncle wants and what his price range is. He advised me that he would see what he had on the lot and would get back to me. Since I happen to be passing by on Veterans Blvd a few hours later, I dropped by to introduce myself in person. While there, he also introduced me to owner Craig Paretti, who was more down to earth than any dealer principal I have ever met. But I digress.
Fast forward 1 hour and I get a call from Troy Lyle who advises me that he has 5 Mazda 3’s on the lot that are in my uncle’s price range. My uncle shows up 1 hour later and drives out with the car in no time at all. Easy peasy. There was no hassle, no last minute add-​ons or price changes. He got the exact deal I struck up just a few hours earlier and left a very happy customer.
If you are in the market to purchase or lease a new car, you should keep Paretti Mazda in mind. The Paretti family has been selling cars in the NOLA Metro area since 1934 and they know how to treat their customers. Just ask for Troy Lyle and you won’t go wrong.

This is the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. My daughter attends Tulane School of Medicine. In February her 2014 Mazda 3 was totaled. It was towed to Paretti Collision Department. Paretti worked with my insurance company and determined the car was beyond repair. Knowing we’d want the new car to come back to California I asked Troy Lyle, Sales Manager, if he could get us a car that met all the California emissions requirements. Troy never said no, he just made it happen. He was able to divert a California bound car (black just like my daughter wanted) to the Paretti dealership. And Paretti was able to register the new car in California. On Monday, they had the paperwork all ready, the car was detailed and the gas tank was full. I was in and out in under 45 minutes.
Paretti people know the meaning of customer service.

I filled out the «get more information» form twice in the last two days for a car I’m interested in with email and phone number. I haven’t heard from anyone. Yet all of these other dealerships that I’m not interested in won’t leave me alone. Maybe they just don’t want my business.

Totally great experience. Told them what I wanted, they made it happen. Big thanks to Craig, Scott, and Tim. This our families third car through Paretti, always a pleasure.

Paretti Mazda was our first stop when we started car shopping a month ago. We had the pleasure of Cody Jones being the salesman we talked to. He was not pushy one bit and gave us car advice on which cars to get and which not to well outside of the Mazda field. Even though we were working with a small budget he treated us very nice and showed us all the cars that were in our price range. After we made it clear we were not going to buy anything from Paretti that day he offered to bring any car we find out there in to get checked up at their shop.
Fast forward three weeks later and we had seen cars all over New Orleans and Slidell. The impression Cody made stuck with us after meeting countless other salespersons. After almost getting a Toyota in Slidell we made one more stop at Paretti to double check the two Mazdas still on our radar. Cody was busy so we were referred to Chris Burley. Even though it was a torrential downpour outside Chris showed us the two cars we were interested in and then mentioned a version that had just came in that was the same model we were looking at for the same price, but it with a bunch of add ons.
We fell in love with that car instantly and put a down payment on it the next day. I recommend Cody and Chris very much at Paretti and am thankful for the way they helped us find the car of our dreams and made the match a reality. Was even more thankful for them after spending time with other salemen around the area and feeling like I was being bullied into making a decision. Salemen like Cody and Chris made the car buying experience a pleasure instead of something to dread. Thank you gentlemen.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with not only our choice of vehicle, but the courteous service at Paretti. I rank car buying right up there with bamboo slivers under the nails, but this transaction was smooth as could be. No pressure whatsoever, fair on trade in and treated us as if we were buying a Jaguar, not a Mazda3. Sal was always available for questions before, during and after the transaction and never did go behind closed doors to talk things over with a manager. Great job, Paretti!

This was an amazing experience! Troy Lyle is the best! There was no ‘grinding out a deal’ to get the sale. He was fair, honest, a delight to talk with and all of the staff made me feel like I was part of the family. I have never received this kind of treatment when buying a car! Being a woman, most salesmen talk down to you, but not here! I was respected as an equal and had fun with the staff talking about cars. I will certainly recommend Troy and Sal in the future! You have EARNED my business!

Carlos helped with the financing and demonstrated much patience with all of my questions.

I am disappointed with their customer service department. My driver side door and trunk was stuck in the lock position on my 2010 Mazda 3. I called to set up an appointment for an estimate. My appointment was for 10÷01÷15. Upon arrival, I was informed 2 employees did not show up for work and they would not be able to look at my car until later in the day. A courtesy call should have been made to me prior to my arrival. I rescheduled for 9:30am on 10÷05÷15. I was left a message at 1pm for an estimate of $ 1,060 that included unnecessary maintenance work. Then, he quoted $ 462 for a new door latch. I called back to decline service. I can have the repairs done cheaper elsewhere. Then, he informed me I could not pick up my car because he could not reassemble the door on my car. He broke the door latch to diagnose the problem. I should have been told I would be locked into an agreement for them to make the repairs beforehand. This is not good customer service. After complaining, the price was reduced to $ 350. The part only cost $ 109. Labor was still a ridiculous $ 237 for a minor job!

Don’t use this body shop. Not even a lot of damage and I drove the car away. Yet, it took them 5 weeks for repair. And, I had to keep checking in as no one kept me informed without prompting.

Troy and the gang at Paretti Mazda have outdone themselves! Coming from Canada, he helped me overcome a bunch of hurdles until I was finally able to purchase my 2016 Mazda CX-​5. I haven’t come across a more kind or knowledgable sales team in Canada or the U.S. They truly look out for the customer’s best interests. Thanks again you guys! Keep up the great work!

Both my parents drive Mazdas so when it was time for me to get a new car, I decided to check them out. Boy, was I impressed?!
Scott, my salesman was very knowledgeable in helping me decide which car was right for me. I was looking at the Mazda 3, and if you don’t know already, there are many different types so it can get confusing looking at them all. Not to mention, he didn’t try to sell me a car when I initially went to just test drive and get information, which I really appreciated because I don’t feel like being pressured by a salesman when I’m not ready to buy something. After purchasing the car a couple of weeks later, he sat in the car with me to go over everything since the technology is completely different than my old car.

Walked in at 4:30 in the afternoon on a Friday and had a Lease finalized on a great CX-​5 at the price we were budgeting for by 7:00. The staff was EXCELLENT! Kenyon, Carlos, and Troy went out of their way to work out the numbers for us.
The old stigma of playing hardball so that you don’t leave money on the table during negotiations is a waste of time at Paretti. (and trust me, I normally like to play the game) We told them what we were hoping to get with what we could afford and they found several tweaks to the deal to make it happen. I truely feel it was a Win-​Win. They clued in on the fact I own a Mazda and made sure to add the $ 750 customer loyalty rebate that I was unaware of!
Definitely give Paretti a shot at earning your business. They were a pleasure to deal with and Mazda is producing some pretty amazing vehicles.

Excellent service. I’m a first time buyer and felt no pressure or rush in my purchase. Carlos the mgr set the standard with his knowledge. Financing was easier than I thought and most of all the oil change and service people are Amazing!!! It’s southern hospitality without the fake get over foolishness. I would purchase from them again in a heartbeat.

I do not know what type of person decided that people should sell cars in shorts. I cannot stand that. In addition, the staff is always so obnoxious.
If you walk INSIDE for help, they are all just lounging back like they are running a retail store. They have to call someone else to help you with a key to look at the vehicles.
Even if there are three of them throwing a ball at each other, none of them can be prompted to actually assist a person getting ready to spend 30K, they call a girl who looks like a receptionist to walk outside with you to unlock the door.
I am not impressed with them. They missed a sale.

I bought a new Mazda CX-​5 from Paretti Mazda. It was the best experience that I have ever had with a dealership. Shortly after I checked them out on the Internet, Jennifer Minden, Internet Sales, contacted me to let me know that she saw my interest in the car. No pressure, no tactics, and she was casual and polite. I cannot say the same for all of her counterparts at other dealerships.
My Sales Consultant was Cristina Brandon. I cannot say enough great things about Cristina! She is fun, engaging and puts on no pressure. She kept me involved in the process/​what was going on at each step. There was great conversation and lots of laughter. I recommend working with her 100%!
What makes some people fear a car dealership is the financing process. I have to say that Eric Campo, the Finance Manager, is a nice, cool guy! He made me feel welcome in his office, like we were on the same team. He explained my options as clearly as possible. Once I chose my finance package, he got me through the paperwork quickly and easily.
When Eric and I finished, Cristina came in to say she had a surprise for me. It was a bottle of champagne! These folks were a class act from start to finish!

Awesome place to buy your next car. I bought a new mazda6 today from John Stall. Seek him out! If he’s off, come back when he’s there. This is who you want to work with. The transaction couldn’t have been better or easier. I am so impressed with his professionalism and tell it like it is demeanour. He’s not pushy and doesn’t try to upsell for a profit. John is a straight forward guy without the bs. I’d recommend John to my grandmother. He and the dealership will get you the best price possible. I confirmed this by researching online and calling other mazda dealerships. They truly made this a great experience. Truth be told I almost bought a maxima at premier nissan down the street. Because their sales manager was so pushy («what can I do to get you into the car today?») I walked away and went to Parreti. Seriously, don’t go to premier nissan, they’re terrible, unless you liked being backed into a corner.

so i think this place does service that meets my expectations, and exceeds them. they will provide you with what you need, be upfront about offering more, but aren’t pushing everything on you. i worked with cristina when i got my vehicle this past summer, and since then their service team has been friendly for my first oil change.
