A Service Cab

The woman who takes the calls needs a serious attitude adjustment. My car has broken down, and I’ve needed to take cabs quite often recently. Metry cab is by far the better option.
On st Patrick’s day I waited 2 ½ hours for a cab and I was an hour late for work. When I called for the third time the woman on the phone not only cussed me out but hung up on me!!!

After waiting for a cab from another company for over 30 minutes and getting hung up on twice by that company, I decided to give Service Cab a shot. The driver was at my hotel in Metairie in less than 10 minutes and drove us to a restaurant in New Orleans in a timely and safe manner. Our driver was very nice and talkative.

I am outrage of the phone operation at Service Cab!!!
I’m a customer and you do not need to raise your voice at me if i am talking to you in a calm way asking you for my cab!!!
Please rectify that you have to always answer out questions properly!!! IM HELPING YOU KEEP YOUR JOB AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO SCREAM AT ME?
I have never in my life left a bad review on nothing even tho things happen! But if you have an attitude problem please stay yo behind home. Learn how to talk to people.

I didn’t even take my chances on using this service. After being on hold for close to 8 to 10 minutes, a woman came on the phone and says ‘service cab’ very rudely, like I was interrupting her night! I asked if there was any cabs available for tomorrow morning at 4. She then replies they do not do any time orders. I then try to confirm that should call tomorrow morning? And then she replies «obviously».
The fact is, I know if they don’t have time orders that I should call prior to when I want to get picked up. The thing is, she could have easily replied «please call 30 minutes prior» or she could’ve asked where I was located so that she could then give me a timeframe of when to call. Not the obvious answer of… «obviously».
I deal with too many rude people during the day I don’t need to deal with one more and give them my money too!

Never again. Late repeatedly. Can’t seem to use GPS. Many cabs don’t accept debit or credit so you have to have cash. And they have someone answering their lines named Elise when I asked after 45 minutes where the cab was who hung up on me. And yes in those exact words. Then when I called back, she said she didnt.

Unprofessional service. Lady who answers the phone hung up on my face when I was inquiring on my arrival of the cab (plane to catch). No apologies by the cab driver. UGH! Disgusted with this company.

I was going to give 1 star because they forgot us! We called the day before and they just didn’t show, however they quickly fixed their mistake and the driver was super friendly and gave a mini tour.

Called at 5pm to set up for a van pickup for 6 people at 6pm. I spoke with a very nice lady. After about 10 minutes waiting for her see if a van was available, she said no problem, a van would be there at 6. 6:10, a single car shows up. I ask the guy what happened to the van. He said we can fit 5 in the car. I did not want to be crammed into a cab all the way to the warehouse district. I called back, the nice lady answered, reviewed my ticket, put me on hold, a man answered, said that a van wasn’t available and they sent two cars. Only one car showedI said that I ordered a van. He told me, wait, you wait till an hour before to order a van and you expect one? I explained that they should have called and told me there was a change. So I ended the conversation on the phone and asked the cab driver to go ahead. They should have told me up front that I couldn’ request a van only an hour ahead.

the 2 stars is only for the call center. Our hotel front desk person called the cab company, gave them our name, and told us it would be 15 – 20 min. We waited 30 min and asked her to call again. she did and the service center said she didnt call and she didnt leave a name. the front desk person had to argue with them before requesting the cab again. that shouldnt have happened, the service center should have just appologized and sent someone right away. incompetance. after the second call, the cab came within 10 min. the cab driver was as friendly as can be.

First time in a cab last night and I found it rather easy and pleasant even during New Year’s Eve. Hank, my driver, only took 25 mins to get to me after I called the dispatcher even with New Year’s Eve business keeping them really busy. Hank did not talk my ear off during the ride and brought me home safe and sound. Only cost me $ 20.75 plus a tip for a 15 min. ride.
I will say that the dispatcher was rather rude and abrupt. I know it was crazy busy for all cab companies last ngt but this is just the way Dave, the dispatcher, is most of the time. Busy or not he just wants to know the 411. He doesn’t deal with questions well and I had a few questions as this was my first time using a cab. I know this because I have called Dave over 1000 times in the past 11 years while working at hotels. Call Service Cab and 90% of the time you will get Dave on the phone. He must work non-​stop.
Overall, Service Cab is dependable and has good drivers. I would use them again. Of course when I call 504−834−1400 that unmistakable voice on the other end will be answering my call.
