The Edge Remodeling

We have done several projects with The Edge. As a real estate agent, I have also referred several clients to obtain bids for their projects from The Edge. I have never had a complaint from any of my clients about this company or its staff, and I have personally had great experiences with them. The most recent project they completed for me was a remodel on my personal home. The project involved demolition, plumbing work, electrical work, drywall work, painting the entire interior, bannister and door stripping and re-​staining, custom glass ordering and installation, installing new baseboards throughout, installation of pavers, and chipping and replastering our pool and repairing and re-​painting the pool deck. All of the work was done on time, with no added charges and we are very happy with the quality. We get lots of compliments on our home. In fact, I tell my clients all the time that the drywall and paint/​staining work in our home are the best I have experienced. I will continue to recommend The Edge and look forward to future projects.

We have used Edge Remodeling on 2 separate occasions, and would not hesitate to call upon their services again when/​if the need arises.
The first time we used them was for a partial master bathroom remodeling we had done. We had them remove the existing shower box unit and Jacuzzi bathtub, and then construct a walk-​in shower, as well as install a door leading from the bathroom to the back yard. They also retiled the bathroom so that the tile would match with the walk-​in shower. The work that was done exceeded our expectations, was done on time, and on budget.
Based on this initial experience, several months later we called on Edge Remodeling to re-​tile several areas of the house. They also completed this work flawlessly.

The worst company I have ever worked with! They do not get the permits filed when the say they will yet complete the job and wait for you to get fined by the county for not getting a permit. They never answer their phone nor do they return calls. One they finally get the permit they do not follow up with the inspection, which means you will still owe the fine by the county. They are the rudest most unprofessional company I have ever worked with and would stop my worst enemy from hiring them.

If anyone is thinking about using this company read Madison’s review. She is spot on about this company, the people, the lack of professionalism, the lack of respect for their customers and the work they do.

This person sure isn’t interested in new business and wasted my time. Initially he called and got all the details and gave me a rough price. He had me send pictures as well because he was to busy to come and do an evaluation himself. Said he would get a hold of me in a couple days. A week later I call in the morning and leave a message. Still no response. About 6:30pm I text and asked what the deal was. He said he just happened to be working on my estimate at that moment (amazing isn’t it). I get the estimate — very generalized for $ 400 over the $ 1500 verbal initial one. He wasted in all 2 weeks of my time as I need this started next week. For being the «Senior Project Manager» it tells you a lot about this company! They aren’t reliable and don’t communicate! I don’t care!!! I don’t care if I am a little job!!! The lack of communication should warn you they are bad business. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

After a year and a half, my house needed some repairs to the work previously provided on an all-​over remodel, completed in large part by this company. Unfortunately, the ROC had to be called in to mediate the issues. After getting a directive from the registrar, all work was completed to my satisfaction. I still feel that the company has poor communication skills, and that they do the minimal amount of work possible-​not taking pride in their work, as some companies do. (floor boards were cracked upon re-​installation of tiles, and they had to re-​do their re-​do in five tiles-​making my time off work last longer.)
What made me raise the review by another star was the fact that Randy Appel was friendly towards me and he also repaired other things that his men had done a year and a half ago, even though they were not on the directive from the registrar. I was still under warranty for their workmanship, but it was nice that he didn’t make a big deal of it, and it made me feel better about the whole experience. All in all, I would not use them again, but I am happy that my issues were resolved.
