Where do I start?! As soon as my wife and I walk in, we immediately overhear an argument between a new customer and the woman behind the desk. I figure it’s none of my business and kept some distance until it’s finished. As soon as there was a lull in the conversation, the woman looked at my wife and I with a look like we were bothering her and asked what we wanted. Not even a «can I help you?». We were early and she told us we would have to pay a $ 20 early check-​in fee. Wow, we were already paying over $ 100 for a room and this place had only five cars in the parking lot.
Anyway, we leave and wait to check in later. A man checked us in and he was very nice but when my wife and I open the door to the room, it reminded me of a scene from the Dallas Buyer’s Club. The part where he’s running his business from a nasty hotel or motel room. Anyway, fast forward and we try and use the shower and the handle falls off. My wife and I are trying to get ready for a wedding and we can’t take a shower. We bring this up to the front desk and a different woman immediately becomes defensive when we asked for some type of compensation because we had to bathe in the sink. Oh, this is day two in the room and there hasn’t been any housekeeping yet. It wasn’t until a maintenance man arrives to get someone to change the sheets and empty the trash. Speaking of the bed, you’ll have to adjust the thermostat at night because they don’t have blankets or comforters… just sheets.
Back to the bathroom. I don’t think I mentioned the mold on the ceilings and walls.
I have to stop but you get the point… DON’T GO HERE… PLEASE!!!

This place is HORRIBLE, (aka RAMADA) if you are planning to stay during spring training or through Triple Crown Sports, DON’T !! no hot water, beds don’t get made up until bedtime and the pool area is very dangerous, deck has large cracks and the ice machines don’t work.
Melissa at the front desk was great!!, but the other Male staff members seem to have a don’t care attitude”. sleep in your car !!! save your money !!!

When I arrived, there was people at the front desk so I walked around until one of the couples left. When I approached, I stood in front a guy (Johnny) who had his head buried in the computer and without looking up at me, making any eye contact, he says, she can help you over there. The inflection in his voice was as if to say, «I’m not going to help you, I don’t care to help you, and can’t you seem I’m busy with whatever I’m doing.» He reminded me of a disrespectful punk 12 year old kid being immersed in his gaming and blowing off his parents invite to join them at the table.
So, when he first said the other woman can help me, the couple was still standing in front of her. I think they had asked another question, but regardless, they were still there. He said it again with the same nasty tone. At this point I barked back him telling him I don’t care for his attitude, and second, I was standing right there, I’m fully aware of what’s going on. He said something under his breath to which I called him on it and instead of manning up, he lied and said she could help me, when he knows this isn’t what he said.
I got into my room, the wifi wouldn’t connect. Then upon inspecting the bed I found 2 long woman hairs. I’m like… WTF? There is just no excuse for this. I called down and complained about both. She gave me a number to call for the internet which rang to no one. I called back and was upgraded to an executive room. Was nicer, but then after laying in bed chatting with my fiancée, I noticed another few woman hairs. Again, WTF? Obviously, this place does not wash their sheets. And that is just foul!
I’ll be making a major complaint tomorrow. The only reason I would come back would be to teach this punk at the front desk the meaning of respect.

We checked out as soon as we saw our room. It was filthy. My toddler squished some kind of bug right by the couch. Our bedsheets had pubic hairs. DO Not Stay here!!!

I have looked over all if the reviews on this property. I had several social events at this property and had worked closely with the catering and management staff. I can understand how most of the reviewers felt about this hotel. I saw it first had and have never witnessed such incompetence as this operation. There is zero customer service. They nearly destroyed one ignore events by making a last minute change to our venue by putting us the bar area and giving away the ballroom to a last minute party. They excuse was they didn’t know that the other party was already booked prior to my event. After doing some investigative work found that the group that got he ballroom booked it a week before my event. Even though I had a contract booked 9 months in advance. The rooms were dirty and a lot of the property was need if maintenance. I have watched this property go from a beautiful in town resort over 20 years ago decline into a poor example of a hotel. The management staff appeared to go out if their way to irritate the guests. Until they get a customer oriented staff and clean up up this mess they can be any hotel chain they want it will not change the reviews their getting on Unilocal

Never ever would I recommend anyone to stay at this filthy, bug ridden, terrible place.
I am not a hotel snob by any stretch but this place is crap, even for $ 50 a night.
Roaches, crickets and some small black bugs that I did not know what they were.
Had to switch rooms because the a/​c went out.
Then the water went out. no water for 6 hours. Then the a/​c went out in our new room.
Then the hot water went out and I could not get anyone over to look at it.
The maintenance man was rude to my wife and that was the last straw, we left and I got a refund for the remaining time.
They should not call this a Ramada because it’s false advertising.
The place needs to be torn down and new buildings put up.
I will be calling corporate and letting them know!

I would never stay here again… Apparently most people feel the same. This is now a Ramada so if your booking on travel sites. This is what you get… Crickets in your room, run down, really bad breakfast (are these even eggs?) I felt like I was back in the 70s in a really bad dream and yes I did have nightmares. Glad it was only one night… The thermostat is antique not even one of those old AC units. I felt like I was in that movie The Shining 0 stars… Please update this a a Ramada and fix this dump up. OMG

If I could give negative 100 stars I would.
This place is awful. DO NOT STAY THERE, EAT THERE OR PLAN AN EVENT THERE. This past weekend we had our wedding reception there and paid over $ 6k and it was ruined. The food was cold, hard and late at the service. My husband and I spent our time in their kitchen finding out what was going on instead of enjoying our reception. The wait staff doesn’t communicate very well AT ALL… they are flustered and do not know what they are doing and are very very rude. There is mold in the rooms, they have scalding hot water that their General Manager Tania Taylor blames on the hotel not running at 100% occupancy. They took balloons and taped them to my center pieces ruining them instead of putting them on weights… seriously the list goes on and on and on… if you want any further information, email me direct at
. I am seeking remedy/​reimbursement from them and if they do not cooperate we are suing them. So PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We arrived early and told to come back in 3 hours, rooms not ready. That is fine, I understand. We come back and told to wait another hour. ‘John’ at the front counter said we have a bar/​restaurant with specials. So we decide to grab some drinks. We are advised there is no specials. We inform him the guy up front told us and he should clear this up. older guy running the bar did not care. Finally I go back inside to check if the room is ready. ‘John’ now tells me they are all out of the double bed queens we reserved over 2 months ago. He tries to have me go to there sister hotel, which was not close to what we needed.
‘John’ says he is the managers son. He is horrible with customer service. No eye contact, remarks under his breath to my mother.
I would stay far away from this hotel at all cost. The lady working the counter with him, 6 days into her job eventually meets us outside while booking another hotel. She tells us she is new and everyday she has had complaints. she even disagrees with the way they are handling the issues.
I am still fighting with the hotel and Expedia for my credit. UPDATE. Expedia was able to get me my full refund.

First of all, when my dad and I called to confirm our reservations after we arrived in Phoenix, there was no record of our reservation in the system. Luckily, we had our receipts and documentation and were able to get it straightened out after we arrived. The lady working the front desk said that our RSVP was lost due to being taken over by Ramada. Secondly, the wifi passcode didn’t work after we got into our room. After calling their customer service hotline, I was told that the passcode that we were given was from when it was Dobson Inn and I got the new one that I had to reenter every day. Fourth, the light inside the hot tub broke off of the fixture and was floating in the hot tub. That could’ve been fatal had there been power in that light. It was connected to the wire from the fixture too. Fifth, the girl at the front desk that they don’t heat the pool as the pool was ice cold. Six, HBO was listed on the list of TV channels and didn’t work.
I had some people tell me about experiencing bed bugs. I didn’t experience them but I had a gentleman tell me what happened to him and I believe some people that he knew. This place is ghetto.

Not a place I would stay again. The mold and stains on everything. It gives me the creeps to be in the rooms. The smell in the rooms is awful, you can just tell its old and they are trying to cover up the old smell.
We ended switching to rooms twice and the third room was by the pool and was a tad nicer, still appeared to be mold on the wall in the bathroom. No stains but the chairs in this room were covered faux leather that was falling apart. The other bad part is apparently they turned off the air in this hotel so we couldn’t cool down our room to sleep. We tried opening our windows but then we would have a cigarette smell coming in because of people who were smoking nearby.
In the morning we had breakfast that was not good almost inedible. Eggs were flavorless, sausage tasted like it was overly flavored, and potatoes were spongy. There was also a small selection of cereal which my kids liked and some stale bread that didn’t really fit in the toaster unless you squished it in. I was totally and utterly disappointed, we complained in the morning but the front desk guy could have cared less.

I stayed at the Dobson Ranch Inn (now known as the Ramada at Dobson Ranch) a few weeks ago (January 2015). I was appalled at the lack of service and the unsanitary and unmaintained condition that the room was in. I tried to turn on the television and the remote control didn’t work. I called the front desk and spoke to «Johnie,» who told me that basically I was out of luck until the following morning at 6:30 a.m. I told him that I wanted to watch TV that night, not early the next morning. He said that there was nothing he could do. He said he was the only one working at the desk. He said i could move rooms, but I did not feel like packing up and relocating. I told Johnie that I was pretty sure it just needed batteries, but he said he couldn’t help. I decided to just get online and do some work, but I was unable to connect with the Internet. I called the front desk again, only this time a girl answered. I asked if she was working the desk with Johnie, and she said yes. Johnie is a liar. She was unable to help me get online, and said that I’d have to call the Ramada Technical Service line because she knew nothing about it. I called the tech support number she gave me and they were able to help me get online after 45 minutes of working on it. I started to look around my room, and found that it had not been vacuumed. There were bottle caps on the floor, as well as a used tissue. I pulled the sheet back to get into bed, and found strands of long hair on the linens and pillowcases. I went to the front desk the next morning to complain about the second-​rate service from the previous night, and learned that the useless attendant (John) that I spoke to was the owner (along with his father). At that point I realized that complaining to them would be futile.
PS — I just saw the other ratings on this place. They are horrible, except for one that has 5 stars. It was made by someone named «Johnie» … coincidence? I think not!

First of all, not sure why this is called a «resort.» It’s a motel. Yet, it was near where I was staying, and I got a deal on the room, so I decided to stay for a few days.
The room next to me had people standing outside smoking and drinking until 2 a.m. I suppose that isn’t the hotels… errr…resorts fault. But I’d think security or something would check periodically and tell people like that to pipe down, or stay in their rooms, as others are there to sleep, not «hang out.»
My room key didn’t work. They gave me another one that worked, though. Still, a pain in the butt.
In the morning, had the breakfast. There was a good spread of food. Oranges, apples, bananas. Various breakfast cereals, French toast, scrambled eggs, and potatoes (which were way too salty), and muffins.
The TV had a great variety of channels. But… the room only had one blanket, and I couldn’t figure out how to turn the heat on. The room was freezing!!! Also, it had only four small, really tiny pillows on the bed. Not sure why they didn’t have regular sized pillows.
The next day… there was hardly any food for breakfast. After waiting 15 minutes, still no food (just cereal and oranges, and juices). Somebody complained, and five minutes later, they brought stuff out.
Overall, it just wasn’t a very good experience.
The staff at the front desk was pleasant enough. They had two computers in the lobby which I was able to use (as I’m the only person on the planet without an iphone).
Overall, I just didn’t think the price warranted what you get.

I saw mostly negative reviews about this place but since it was so close to where we had to be we gave it a try. Shouldn’t of done it. Took forever waiting for someone to help me check-​in. Then at time of checking in the lady was not very professional looking and was all over the place making mistakes over and over again. Eight months pregnant and she decides to give me an upper unit; no elevators. I had to ask her to switch it to a bottom unit which took up even more time.
The room was not vacuumed, the furniture, TV and desk were full of dust and the bathtub was dirty.
Forget about the free breakfast… It was so far away from where my room was I was just too tired to walk all the way over there.
We only stayed two nights. The first night an alarm clock had gone off in a vacant room next door to us at 3:30AM and didn’t turn off until 5:30AM! My husband and I were so tired!!! There was nothing we could do and no one to help us at that time. My husband had been working 14 hour days so I know he was so super tired; I was pissed. The next day I called the front desk and spoke to Yvette. I told her the situation and asked her to please get someone to fix the situation. The alarm clock had been unplugged in my room which makes me think that all the alarm clocks in every room are unplugged. Obviously except the room next door to us. She said she would get someone down there to fix right away which I was grateful for.
Our second night here… my husband and I are both up at 3:30 AM AGAIN because of the same stupid alarm. Cannot freaken believe this!!!
I go to check out that same day about 15 minutes before 11 AM… and Yvette is at the front desk. I confronted her about it, and it was plain to see how upset I was… but she seemed to care less. Her attitude sucked and she’s lucky I didn’t go off on her. One of us had to be the professional one.
We will definitely never come here again.

Well… the reviews are kinda all over the place. I stayed here Friday, October 10, 2014.
first off it wasn’t worth the 80 something dollars I spent for one night. I certainly wouldn’t call it a «beautiful» resort either… and what makes a resort a resort?
This place is just what it is… a motel.
I don’t smoke and there is a $ 300 charge if they catch you smoking in a room but… people were smoking outside the rooms and the smoky aroma wafted in the night I was there.
The motel is old point blank. the air vents are full of dust but that happens no biggie. The room was fairly clean and you can tell they are trying to improve the place. It just wasn’t worth what I spent. I would rather spend $ 40 more and spend the night in a nicer more updated place. The lighting is not the best either.
What got me riled up was the mold problem in the shower. I do understand that a little mold happens but once the room was all moist the mold really showed up. I have a severe allergy to mold and this wasn’t a good thing.
I wouldn’t say i would never stay there again but for the price I would pay a little more and stay somewhere more updated.
This place needs a major inside renovation. remove all the old interior walls and update the materials. there are products that help to eliminate mold issues now days. The outside is nice. but still could use a little more TLC.
They did have flat screen tv’s and working air conditioning.
They did not have complimentary breakfast anywhere I could see.
I could not access any wifi.

This place was cool. I didn’t live there, I just needed somewhere to put my stuff and sleep.
The only complaint I have is that I froze. The air was on. I turned it off and it was still cold. I turned on the heater and cold air came out. It was pretty cold the whole time I was there.
Other than that, it was clean, it was a nice looking place, and it smelled like fresh carrots all the time.
I liked the ample parking. And it was really quiet for being right off freeway. Starbucks and jamba across the street. It was a great location.

This is a great place for families. Large rooms with mini fridge. Large heated salt water pool with extra large spa, free breakfast buffet. Having said that… Kids there were. Everywhere. and they were having a good, loud time. Not for the weary business traveler or the couples without kids (us). But highly recommend it for families. Walls are paper thin so bring earplugs. Also location is convenient to get around.

Beware.
I wouldn’t stay here until they deal with their bed bug problem. When we had to change rooms because of the multiple ones we found on our bed next to our sleeping baby, reception seemed fairly unconcerned.

Yeah, I really can see what all the bad reviews are about. This was apparently a really nice place at one time, but is now in a pretty rundown and worn state.
The room interiors certainly don’t LOOK worn out at first blush – the paint apparently looks fresh and the bedroom sink and counter is in pretty nice shape. However, a closer look at the room that we had revealed chipped veneer on the night stands, a leak under the front sink, and mold in the refrigerator. A little more soap would have been nice. BTW, the ice machine nearest to the room was broken and I had to trek to find another one.
Fair overall. It has a bed and a bathroom that works just fine for its stated purpose. This is actually a really nice place to have a bunch of girls over for a birthday sleepover if you get the two room suite. With the inn’s pool, our DVD player, and pizzas from Big Boys down the street, you have a party.
Free breakfast ain’t bad – that’ll save ya thirty bucks.. .
Look, you get what you pay for, and we didn’t pay very much. For a place to watch movies, munch food, splash around in the pool and crash in the wee hours, it worked. No rave no hate.
