History

Established in 1998.

This facility was orginially a bank, and became Heritage Funeral Home in 1998. In 2003, the name changed to Sonoran Skies Mortuary, as it is now.

Neal and Candy Greff purchased the business in 2010 and operate it as a family business, with TJ Kelber, Candy’s son, and his wife Jessica. Jessie Welsh-​Alexis, our Funeral Director and Embalmist. takes great pride in work, and goes the extra step for your family.

Our purpose and goal are to help families and friends with the final arrangements for their loved ones as uncomplicated and affordable as possible. We do not ask you to spend money on something you don’t need. We list our prices on line so there will be no surprises, and you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Every family we work with receives a hand made angel as a small token of our appreciation.

Meet the Business Owner

Candy, Neal, TJ and Jessica G.

Business Owner

Candy and Neal, along with their son, TJ and his wife, Jess, are a family who wants to make a difference. We provide all the services you would find at any funeral home, only we just don’t charge as much.

Candy spent 30+ years in the hotel business, making exceptional customer service a priority. Neal worked for the airlines for many years and then opened his own business supplying local funeral homes with various products. Candy and Neal are involved with many community activities, such as the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Mesa Chamber of Commerce, Tempe and Mesa Convention and Visitors Bureaus, and are active members of Central Christian Church. Neal is also a Hospice Volunteer. Both Neal and Candy ride Harley Davidson motorcycles and are involved with the Christian Motorcycle Association.

TJ and Jessica were married June 12, 2010. After many years in the Hotel/​restaurant industry, and excelling in customer services, TJ joined our family business in March 2010.
