Men’s Ultimate Grooming

I agree with JC R. I had a bad experience with another barber who butchered me and after letting my hair grow out for 3 months I researched barbershops in Mesa and after reading JC R’s review, went into Men’s Ultimate Grooming, asked for Renee’ and had her cut my hair. She did an outstanding job. In fact I haven’t had that good a hair cut in years. I’m 68 years old, down here from Portland, OR for the winter and will always have Renee’ cut my hair in the future. If you’re looking for a good barber/​stylist I highly recommend Renee’.

This is a review less about the salon itself and more about a particular stylist there.
I’ve been going to Renee for about 2 years now, following her from salon to salon, and when I heard she finally ended up here, I was so excited! I’ve never had a stylist where I could literally walk in and say, «Ok, just do whatever. Make it look awesome.» and not have to worry about coming out looking stupid. Renee has always been so professional, I’ve recommended her to just about everyone I know. She’s cut my friends’ hair, my partner’s hair, my partner’s kids’ hair, and never has anyone ever walked away with a bad cut.
In fact, a friend of mine went to a different place to get her hair cut, and they butchered it… bad. She went to Renee to fix it and she was able to fix the chainsaw massacre of a cut that my friend had been dealing with. We thought it was unfixable.
Renee is a whiz at short hair, long hair, colour, men’s styles, women’s styles, you name it. And for those of you thinking that MUG is just for the fellas, it’s just not true. They’ll happily take anyone and do a fantastic job. But for all you guys out there looking for the full treatment, this is the place to go! Shaves with straight razors, great cuts and a team of competent stylists who will always leave you looking your best!
But make sure you make an appointment. they get busy! And be sure to ask for Renee. You won’t be disappointed!
