Scheduled a cleaning for 1:15 PM, 11÷25÷14 and no one ever showed up. 2 days before I am hosting Thanksgiving at my house. I let the woman know that I have had problems with other cleaners in the pas when I made my appointment and she assured me that I would have no issues with them.

On February 4, we scheduled housekeeping service for 9:00am on March 22, which is this morning, in preparation for our housewarming party that’s tomorrow. We’ve worked 15 years to buy our first house, and it’s a big celebration, so this is a big deal. We also plan to schedule regularly monthly cleaning, after we see the quality of work that we can expect.
I’d love to tell you how well they cleaned my house, but I can’t. They never showed up. Nobody is answering the phone, and nobody has returned my voicemail. It’s now 1:00pm, and I should be handing over my credit card, scheduling a repeat visit for next month, and sending my housekeeper on his or her merry way.
Instead, I have been calling other companies in my «spare time» in between cooking and other preparations for the party. I just now found another company that can work me in later tonight — but I have to leave early from a friend’s 90^th birthday party, to accommodate their schedule. Which I’ll do, because I need help and this competitor was gracious enough to help me solve somebody else’s problem, but I’m not happy. Having a professional housekeeper was a luxury I was willing to pay for, to reduce my stress and help me have more time for the important things in life. Instead, I’ve gotten a lot more stress and a lot less time. But hey, at least I’ll have a story to tell my 80 party guests, right?
