We are a consultation and an educational permaculture business. We provide phone and on-​site design consultations. An on-​site consult might include a site drawing. We also provide presentations and workshops to the public. Our feature is the 72 hour Permaculture Design Certification we have taught since Fall 2006.

History

Established in 2005.

Don attended a Permaculture Design Course in the summer of 2003 at EcoVersity in New Mexico and began developing his own homesite with this permaculture knowledge. He then began to share this same knowledge and co-​founded the Phoenix Permaculture Guild a non-​profit organization in the Spring of 2004.

Business Owner

Don began a horticultural career in 1975. He studied at several colleges and became lead landscaper. In 1981 he moved to the US and began over with a new landscape firm working his way back to the lead position again. In 1993 he started his own business — Union Jack Gardening service, serving the east valley. When the opprotunity came to retrain in a sustainable profession he went for it. Studing Permaculture fit with all Don’s interests, environmental, outdoors, farming, spiritual, and many others.

Don has a natural ability to read the land, to invent ways to solve problems, to create a new greenliving space form an unsustainable one, hellping heal the Earth where ever he is called.
