Discount Cab

I have mixed feelings about this company. When I’m paying cash, they show up on time. If my insurance is paying so I can get to my doctor appointments, they either don’t show up, or drive off before I even knew they were here.

I ordered cab service & the driver showed up, but when he seen I want black he drove off. Then ordered another cab & was told 5 – 10 mins. I wind up waiting 30mins instead. I’m thinking about changing cab service to yellow cab.

Ordered a cab for 6:15 am for a flight. Actually talked to a representative when ordering b/​c I wanted a mini van and there didn’t seem to be a way to get a van online. Got a confirmation number. Representative never told me that an order for a pickup at a specific time didn’t necessarily mean that we would be picked up at that time «it could be a few minutes earlier or later» we were told when I called the next day when our cab did not come at 6:15. They dispatched the cab when I called and told me it would be 15 minutes. We hailed a cab from Valley cab at 6:40. I am currently waiting in the security line at 7:36 for a flight that boards in 15 minutes. Hope I don’t miss my flight because of Discount Cab! I would give them 0 stars if I could.

I will never use this service again, I understand why they are getting blown out of the water by services like Über and lyft. I ordered A cab an entire two hours early so I would not be late for my flight. The arrival time was set for 8 AM, at 8:30 I called to find out where the driver was located and they told me I was not even in the system. At that point they resent out another driver who then contacted me 10 minutes later to let me know he was in route and would be to me within 15 to 20 minutes. After an additional 45 minutes with no arrival I tried contacting the driver who’s phone was turned off. I was beyond frustrated at that point but I kept my cool and called discount once again .They informed me that they did not know what happened to the driver who had been in route but they were going to send out someone for a third time (keep in mind it was now 10 AM when I originally needed the arrival to be at 8am). I let them know that I was in a extreme time crunch at this point because of my flight back to Michigan and they said unfortunately things like this have been happening on a regular basis and they were not willing to do anything to rectify the situation but send out another driver. I then asked if they would be willing to at least cover A portion of the fair which they would not do and the representative stated the only thing they would be willing to do is send me out 1 $ 10 voucher for another ride in the future which I would not receive for another 4 to 6 weeks in the mail.(I declined) Because of their lack of professionalism I missed my flight and had to pay an additional $ 200 to reschedule to the next available flight on another airline. I decided to not even take discount and it went to my neighbor offered him $ 50 to take me to the airport which was only 20 minutes away. I wish I could give them less than one star. I will never use this service again nor recommend it to anyone. Save your money and use it über or lyft I know über is only $ 0.90 a mile compared to the $ 2.50 that discount charges plus they do not except tips and cars are always in perfect condition with trustworthy drivers.

I took a Discount Cab 11÷26÷15 — my boyfriend paided the driver cash fit my fare — when I reached ny destination the driver chg’d me again — I lost my electronic vapor cig and debit card and was not able to get in touch with anyone in their lost & found department til 11÷30÷15 — they had no items turned in and no record of my trip — I will walk before I ever take a discount cab — bad business …

UPDATE ¹¹⁄₂ — Received a voicemail from Discount Cab informing me they listened to the calls from the day in question and have couched the staff on the mistakes made.

I left the last review 10 days ago in hopes TOM from Discount Cab would reach out. He did over a week ago asking for my personal information but according to Unilocal has done nothing with it.
I’m leaving another review this morning hoping that something will happen. I’ve been at the doctors office waiting for my cab for over 35 minutes again and have watched other patients who called for their rides after me, already gone. I’m fact other patients have arrived, seen the doctor, and have got their cab home already. Here I stand, again. Guess I’ll start the torture of calling dispatch and playing the «where is my cab game».

Can #1034 rude as hell was waiting with my husband and kept calling like shit if you don’t want to pick people up don’t work for a cab company this company takes forever to send a cab I’ve used discount cab almost everyday for work and at least half the time nobody knows where you are based on the address

Seriously lame. Ordered a cab (über was quoting 2.8x). They said it would be 6 – 20 minutes. Called after 20 minutes, they said the cab was 2 minutes away. Called again after 45 minutes had elapsed. They said someone else took the ride. The cab never showed up at our destination so the driver deliberately took another rider while coming to get us — and incidentally lost what would have been a $ 50 fare by doing so. Discount dispatch didn’t appear to care. LESSON: always order Über even if it’s 2.8x premium. They’ll show up within 5 minutes or less.

Do NOT use!!! Cab supposed to come at 5:00. Called at 5:02 (had to catch a flight), told 17 minutes in one breath, then 5 – 45 minutes in the next? Called back at 5:15. Told cab came and went at 5:07! Not true since we were waiting outside. Dispatch said, «Oh, well…» Never even called to let us know! They suck. Hung up and got an Über, who was there in 8 minutes. Have fun losing all your business to them.

I called to get a cab and was told it would be here in 15 – 20 minutes. I called back after 30 minutes and nobody answered so I just called for an über. The taxi driver ended up calling me TWO HOURS later saying he was there. Not going to call this place again!

No longer a good option for a cab ride. UBER Is the way to go. Setup a UBER account and never drive drunk and avoided these guys.

Complete joke of a company. Called a cab in plenty of time. They told me 20
Minutes and it’s been an hour. And when I called back they just told me to wait longer

Ride was fine however I did leave my wallet in my cab. Good luck trying to get anything back. When you call the lost and found, you MIGHT speak to someone who is willing to help (I luckily got one, once) but most of the time when you try to get any help, the reps just give you 2 phone numbers to call that NEVER gets answered. And if you call asking for answers (at the call center lost and found) (confusing, I know) they tell you you’re burnt if you’ve already called asking for an update. They won’t give you one. So now 4 days into this I still can’t get any straight answers. If my wallet is there or not. Right hand doesnt communicate with the left. Complete cluster f#uck.

on time, clean vehicles, ok and friendly drivers. I prefer them over the other med. transportation services.

Just got driven home by a polygamist! Oh boy did he have an opinion! I am ok with people that have different views and ideas, but this guy just seemed crazed. I was actually worried and got out of the cab 3 blocks from home. I just didn’t feel safe!!! I don’t think he was drinking or doing drugs, though the second more likely, but I bet he has more cats then wives at home.

We had the worst experience with this cab company. I booked it online and confirmed the evening of a 3am pickup for the airport. My 1^st call was a 3:01 & I was told 3 minutes. My next call was at 3:08 to receive the same response.
I called at 3:15 and was told the cab was nearby. By now we are walking with suitcases out to a main road. I called again and was on the phone with an understanding person named Charles. For 15 more minutes NO CAB — it’s 3:40…
A helpful person with Lyft stopped, but we were unsure. Then another car pulled over from Alba Trans. We jumped in as we were now afraid we would miss our flight. I cannot say enough positive comments about Alba Trans. Use them!
Discount cab did not ever send even an apology for such outrageously poor service. If Alba Trans did not stop for us, we would have had to suffer the costly missing of our flight. Do not use this company if you expect timely service! It should be ZERO stars…

Worst dispatchers! Unprofessional and rude. there is always something wrong when trying to get a ride. Today they messed up my request twice so the third is truly the charm. After two and a half hours later my ride gets to walart –_–

Called service night before for 630am pick up to Phx airport. Waited and no show. Had to wake up my wife to drive me. When I called at 645. He said car wasn’t assigned yet. Get an F for service!

Wonderful time. I tried to take UBER and on my way there it said $ 0.90 a mile. So I thought great! What a deal thought my fare would be around $ 9, it wound up being $ 47 to go maybe 8 miles! Wow. Took discount on way back and it was around $ 20. Don’t let UBER fool you with there false advertising. Discount driver was «American» lately all UBER drivers I have dealt with barely speak English. I would give them a try.

Holy buckets. Where do I start… We are visiting Scottsdale, we ordered the cab and got in and said «hi, how are you doing?» And he replied «I don’t know.». We then asked him to take us to Albertsons and he said «I don’t know that place or where it’s at» I used my iPhone map and it was .09 miles away from where we were. After I told him that he said «oooh I do know where that is».
For the ride back, we ordered another cab. We had take a survey while we were at lunch and the survey said we would receive $ 5 off our next can ride. The guy made 3 phone calls, that lasted about 20 minutes, and had no idea how to take the $ 5 off our cab fare for taking the survey they advertised. We ended up paying the full price and told the guy «they shouldn’t do that to people» and he snapped back «it isn’t my fault».
This cab service is shit. $ 16 for less than 5 miles. OH! And the guy drove past our ending location!
