I would give this company a negative star if I could. I’m located in Hawaii and called Home Depot to service our split AC units. They put me in contact with Delta in Hawaii and my experience with them has been horrible. They had to come out 3 different times because the original technicians put too much freon in the unit causing it to malfunction. On top of that I got scammed by the employee who told me if I paid him directly he would give me a discount on the freon only to find out he put way too much in the unit causing it to malfunction. I’ve had to call Home Depot numerous times as well as the local office who did apologize and Informed me they would reimburse me my $ 100 for the freon I paid for. I had to call Kelly (front desk girl) after several weeks of never receiving the check to find out she never sent it. Finally when she did and I cashed it the check was bounced and I accrued a bank fee. This place is horrible and does poor business. I am currently working on getting ahold of the VP of Operations because I am so utterly shocked at how a company can operate like this, issuing customers bad checks. I got my unit serviced in September and here I am in January still dealing with them. My advice go elsewhere and save yourself the horrible service.

Doing a kitchen remodel through home depot and this company was in charge of the plumbing aspect of the remodel. We prepaid for everything through home depot. FIrst, they tried to charge us directly when we set up the first appointment for sink disconnect (again, we prepaid) and it took us several hours to fix their «misunderstanding». Then the guy shows up (late) to disconnect the sink and tells me our shut off valves are too old and he needs to replace them and it will be $ 50. He does that and calls down to the AZ office to have them «bill us through home depot». The woman at the main office says they don’t do that and demands payment over the phone. I reluctantly give them my credit card number. The next day I have several fraudulent charges in Arizona to some inmate calling service… AND it turns out we had already prepaid for new shut off valves… The inmate calling service was able to track who used my credit card and verified it was the employee at Delta… STAY AWAY from this company! If you use home depot find your own installer/​plumber!!! AWFUL experience.

Had an installation appointment today between 1 and 3 that was confirmed yesterday. Took the day off from work and they never showed up. Called over an hour later to see what had happened and they said they called to verify I would be here. Believe me, confirmation was yesterday and no call was ever placed to me today. Again, I took the day off strictly for this. No message was left or incoming call placed to me. I asked that the installation charge be discounted for missing the appointment and they said no. Fair enough. They are Home Depot’s installer. Maybe it was a miscommunication but I doubt it. Buyer beware.

The plumbers I got from them (via Home Depot) were foreign immigrants (and NOT from the Americas), so English was poor and it was difficult communicating, and one of them was quite rude. Both used monkey wrenches instead of proper wrenches, & much banging on pipes, which cannot be good for them. Also, poor communication between corporate to their plumbers. These are my opinions only.

A/​C was blowing warm. The A/​C tech they sent out, Neil, seemed to really know what he was doing. Explained the problem in detail and in a way that I could understand and then fixed the problem.
A world of difference compared with the another company that I used (named after a primate).
Really happy with these guys.

3 new coolers replaced by this company, water gushing from 2 units, after 4 service calls still have water leak. My husband went on top of roof at temperatures over 108, he found and replace cracked overflow pipe that was gushing water on top of electrical wire and motor. They were to send a tech again today, nobody showed up. Bad service. Bad job, cooler is not even leveled. I Do NOT recommend them

We had the work done a few months ago, but they did a good job. We had them replace two of our toilets. Their technician was on time and courteous. The install was faster than expected and the bathrooms were neat and tidy when he left. The toilets are working well, and they do not rock.

Stay away from this company. I can’t believe that Home Depot uses this company. I had them come out to install a new gas water heater. First the technician floods my garage. He struggled quite a bit while installing the water heater He isn’t able to finish the install because he doesn’t have the proper bit for his tool. He has to come back the following day. I am waiting for the water heater to heat up and I smell GAS! I turn it off and call Delta Mechanicals 800 line. They say that I will have to wait for the following day because there is not a supervisor available. I receive a call the following day and a supervisor comes out and states that the technician hand tightened the bolt. No wonder I was smelling gas. The technician finally calls around 5:20pm and states that he only twenty minutes away and would like to come finish the job. I don’t hear back from him for another hour and half. By this time I am getting really mad. It takes him another thirty to forty minutes to put the bands on the water heater. Don’t use this company. I will never call Home Depot again for an installation! I will stick to local plumbers!!!

Home depot had these guys install a toilet for us. When installer arrived and looked at the job, I was told I’d need a new flange. I asked how much this would cost I was told $ 20. Imagine my surprise when work was done and I was told I needed to pay $ 120 !! I told them to sue me I want paying that because that price was outrageous, and not what I was quoted. If home Depot gives you these guys run don’t walk away !!

I would not recommend Delta Mechanical for any work. My husband located them through Home Depot too. I was looking for someone to service my ac and heating system as was done each year. Their rep came to our home on two or three times in the last couple of years per the contract initiated on the first visit. Each time they wanted us to purchase a brand new system and even listed it on our receipt. Each time they did the inspection, they said we needed new parts for the compressor that had worked just fine before their arrival. On their last visit a couple of weeks ago, the tech again advised us to purchase a new ac and heating unit even though our system was working fine. A week later the contactor (which this company had replaced six months earlier) had burned up along with a few of the wires. I called a different ac company to replace the damaged parts and the unit is working just fine. You can come to your own conclusions.

I was given these guys name by Home Depot for an install of a tankless water heater, after a long wait on hold I finally spoke to a guy and explained what it was I wanted. He quoted me $ 3900 installed for a unit that was 2x the size we actually needed for a small house and when that was pointed out I was told we could run both showers and all the faucets in the house at the same time, well who exactly does that? I told him I would be buying the unit from Home Depot and only needed it installed, he rudely said «fine then that will be $ 3900». Thanks but no thanks Home Depot I’ll find my own contractor.

Horrible company to do business with… technician left screws, wire nuts and various other parts laying on the roof and never put back on the air conditioner. I guess he never thought I would go on the roof to check… in addition he was SMOKING on my roof… used Day and Night to do the install … did not trust this company at all even though they are the vendor of choice for Home Depot Would NOT recommend this company

When to Home Depot to buy a replacement hot water heater and when I asked about installation price I was told $ 550.00 compared to $ 250 to $ 350 with every article I read on the web. What was worse, I was told I was paying for a quality installer. End of the story, I went to Lowes and found a similar hot water heater and their contractor and installation price ($ 275.00) were both aligned with my expectations. I’ll still shop at Home Depot but will always check out thier contractors.

I recently had a new Central AC unit and water heater installed by Delta Mechanical and I couldn’t be happier. I went directly through Delta Mechanical and not Home Depot, although I did use Home Depot’s 24 months same as cash. Both the AC and WH were the original equipment in my house and over 22 years old. The AC died on Thursday, and they got it running again, but the 108 degree temps proved to be too much by Saturday, and it finally gave up the ghost. Jeff came over and explained my options and pricing for a new unit and water heater. We decided on a 5 ton Trane and 50 gal Rheem water heater. Their engineer Steve came over early Monday AM and measured and the install crew was there an hour later. Nick, Paul, Valcon and Chandler were professional, knowledgeable and fast. They got everything installed and house was cooling down by the afternoon. This was my 1^st time buying a water heater and AC unit and I was very pleased with the their service and the whole process.
Even one day without AC in AZ is too long!

Home Depot selected these guys to install two toilets for me. After some back and forth on scheduling, the day of install, our guy shows up at 7p. That was OK with us so he went straight to work. Guy was done in less than an hour and took the toilets and boxes away with him, which he did not have to do. We did pay for the toilet removal, but did not expect him to take the boxes. Very nice of him.
The trouble was with the communication with Home Depot and Delta. We called Home Depot 3 times and the folks there were trying to help, but never told us Delta would be doing the install. If they simply had hooked us up with the installer, it really would have helped the scheduling.
Other than that the installer was knowledgeable and efficient.

I had them do my A/​C install and was pleased with it. That’s where it goes bad. I had them quote a water heater install, and the guy said he gave me a quote that saved me hundreds of dollars. Made one other call to a competitor and the quote was 30% cheaper. Hmmm???
Then he mis-​measured the unit, and I was told they could not find this weird size unit anywhere in the country.
After several days I decided I did not want to go through with it.
They had already charged my card, but they said they could not find me in their system. So, I am now disputing it with my bank to get a refund.
I am not impressed with their lack of organization, as well as charging me before the installation. And, am now a little concerned with the A/​C. I hope I don’t have any problems in the future.
And, shame on Home Depot, as they were the ones who referred me.

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with! It’s been months and I’m finally writing a review. Now that I found them on Unilocal,I am not surprised by all the bad reviews they received. I don’t even know where to start?!
First off they placed a electric heater/​ac and the crap wouldn’t work when it was freezing outside! I call and complain and their answer is because it’s freezing outside. What??? Really? That’s why we got it in the first place! Then they finally answer and tell me it’s because our order didn’t have coils. And coils would be an extra charge. Are you freakin serious? We froze for two months because you didn’t install coils? Did I mention I had a water leak happening in one of the bedrooms because they didn’t properly close off the vent from the roof!
The technician came out at least five times to the house. On the last visit, looks at the order and realizes it wasn’t supposed to be an electric heater/​ac unit! The order was for a gas unit!
Okay, so they screw up the order, have us freeze for two months, and forget to put vents in the two bathrooms. Constant phone calls to the manager Tony and never calls back! He finally called back after three weeks of leaving messages, only because we went to the manager of Home Depot. Home Depot works with these clowns. They need to cut their ties! It’s not building my confidence with Home Depot either. Shame on Home Depot to have a contract with this Delta Mechanical! Next stop will be Michael Finney on channel 7 news. This company is garbage!!!

First of all, we live in No. NV and Home Depot contracts with these clowns for plumbing work! As a surprise, I bought my wife a new high end kitchen sink and faucet and thought it would be quicker and easier to pay for the «professional» install.
It was neither quick or easy and frankly, never finished! The installer was supposed to arrive at 0800, didn’t show until 1630. Came in with a lack of tools to remove and prep the tile for the new sink. I loaned him mine and did most of the work! He spent most of his time making phone calls and smoking outside.
To make a long story short, he broke fittings on the disposal and could not figure out how to utilize all of the required clips to secure the sink (stainless steel). He left it unfinished and unusable, stating he would come by the next day to finish… he also took all of the unused clips with him!!! So much for the nice surprise for my wife!!!
No call no show! Same for several days after. I decided we needed to have use of the sink and dishwasher, I went shopping to replace what he broke and took with him. I took everything apart, fixed it properly, then called Home Depot to seek some kind of remedy.
Home Depot said this wasn’t right and they would get right on it. A day or so later, Delta Mechanical calls me and offers to send me a $ 50 Home Depot gift card. What a joke, that is about ¹⁄₁₀^th of the expense incurred due to their incompetence!
I think HD would have better luck contracting with the casual labor office, they wouldn’t have the skills to do the job either, but at least they would show up and not charge as much!
In Home Depot’s defense, they are still working to rectify the situation, I don’t blame them for Delta’s shortcomings, but I mentioned that they may want to shop around for a better contractor!

We are so incredibly happy with installation we had with Delta Mechanical, we needed to share our experience.
One of our two air conditioners broke down on Labor Day and we had a bunch of friends coming over.
We contacted Delta Mechanical through the Home Depot at 8am and they had a tech at our home by 10am.
Mike was awesome and got our unit up and running temporally. Our units were very old and we had several repairs in the past and we knew it was time to replace them.
Mike sat with us and answered all of our questions and offered us several different units and explained the benefits of all of them to us. We purchased a Trane and Mike set us up with financing through the Home Depot. We had our install set up for the new systems on the following day. That same evening we received a call from Haylee to confirm our installation for the next morning between 8 and 10 am with their pre job inspector to come at 7:30am. Steve showed up at 7:30 prompt and went through everything and my husband remembered about a hot room we forgot to mention to Mike the day before and Steve went though and found a solution for us and set it up for the installer to correct when the units were installed.
Paul and Chandler arrived at 9:15 and promptly started to work and continued into the late afternoon without stopping. Incredible work ethic especially with the temperatures we had that day. Paul walked us through the process before starting to give us an idea of what to expect throughout the day. They laid out carpet covering and protected all areas they worked in. When they completed they went through the operation of the system and instructed us on the thermostat operation and linked it up with our wifi.
We would feel very comfortable recommending Delta to any of our friends and we have already and one of them had an install and let me know they received the same service that we did.

Delta Mechanical has got to be the most umproffessional company I have ever dealt with. I’m shocked that Home Depot would refer them out! I went to home depot to buy a gas stove and needed a gas line ran to the kitchen from the garage which is also right next to the gas meter. (about 10 feet away) I was told that they couldn’t give me an exact price over the phone but it would range from $ 300 up to $ 600. After them cancelling on me twice because «the truck broke down» They called me back to let me know it would be $ 1700 so I quickly cancelled and will have another company do the install. Shame on Home Depot! I will definitely let Home Depot know about this as well.
