Terrible management, won’t divulge ROC #, just really poor!!!

My five star rating is for the prompt, courteous response I received from Brad regarding our rental home. There was a leak which caused water damage and I found AZ Flood Squad online and decided to call them first thing in the morning (7:30am) and was pleasantly surprised when not only did I receive a call back, but they came out right away (within 30mins!) to assess the damage and begin the drying process at «no charge.» I had not contacted my home owners insurance as of yet and did not even know if this would be covered… but Brad stated he could leave the dehumidifiers for 24 hours at no cost, which I felt was beyond fair. Unfortunately, we did not use their company due to insurance conflicts, so I felt it was only fair to leave them a nice review because of the professional way they handled the phone calls, timely service and they even removed the dryers they were setting up due to my sudden cancellation request and insurance issues. Thank you, again, Brad, and I apologize we were not able to use your company this time, but best wishes and will keep you in mind for future work. Misty ;)

The water heater broke last Friday and caused some flooding in my Dad’s house, his Home Shield company sent AZ Flood Squad to assess the damage and start the drying process. They pulled out carpeting and set up their equipment to dry things out. I was at work when this happened. I talked to my insurance adjuster who advised me to have them remove their equipment and she would put me in touch with another company who does the same thing. I asked them to take their equipment, thanked them and we went our separate ways… You would think that was the end of the story, but no.
The second company came and set up and the drying was under way. They said they’d come back on Monday or Tuesday to check the dryness and pick up their equipment and would call … Monday came and when I got home from work, all the equipment was gone and my Dad said they came to pick it up. I thought it strange they didn’t call first, but okay, making progress…
Tuesday afternoon I got a call from the second company asking if this was a good time to come by and get their equipment and do the dryness check. Huh? I said, «Your guys came yesterday and picked everything up…» To which he replied, «No we didn’t, no one from my company was there yesterday.»
Turns out, someone at AZ Flood Squad forgot to mention that they got pulled from the job on Friday and so they came and took all the equipment belonging to the other company. I get it, mistakes happen, but that’s not the worst of it! They were hostile on the phone and completely unmotivated to resolve anything promptly. What I got on the phone was basically, sorry, there’s no one that can help you. Apparently, they were either on another job or gone for the day. In a day where we communicate instantly with the world, to say a manager/​owner can’t be reached in an escalated situation is unacceptable. If this was my business, I’d want to know and take steps towards resolution immediately! I was even told at one point, «Well, you let them in…» as if it were my job to remind them that they were pulled off the job 3 days ago… And no, I didn’t, I was at work and my 74 year old, ailing Dad let them in. The point is, they had no business being there in the first place!
They admitted to «accidentally taking the wrong equipment» — which implies they still had anything here to confuse their own with, they didn’t. We’re talking thousands of dollars of equipment here that the second company is losing money on, including not being able to take other jobs because AZ Flood Squad stole their equipment! Compounded by the fact that it also puts my re-​build schedule back another day. When you take things that don’t belong to you, even accidentally, and you don’t give them back immediately…
And for the icing on the cake of this cluster, I was also told by their staff that they have done this before… Whaaa??? I would avoid this company like Ebola!

We had AZ Flood Squad come out and do some major work to our apartment that had flooding and damage. Jesse was a beast at fixing it all up in a super quick time frame. He was professional and great to work with during such a frustrating time. I really recommend Jesse and the company for any work you have to do.

I will start by saying that every tech i have worked with in my home including Josh has been great very helpful knowledgable and understanding. However every time I dealt with the owner Brad things got bad.
It started with two appointments that Brad promised me where no one ever showed up, Brad told me he had forgotten about them and that he was too busy. The last straw with Brad was when he sent someone to get a house key so there could be a lock box on my house. The tech told me that he didn’t have a lock box and would just take the key and the next day when he got one he would put it on my house. Since the next day was the day they did demolition work I stopped by on my lunch break to check in. Still no lock box to be found. I called Brad and asked what happened and he told me that they ran out of lock boxes and that his guys would go get one at a hardware store. Well when I came home from work and there was still no lock box I called Brad yet again. I told him that it was completely unacceptable to take my house key and have it float around to his employees for over 24 hrs since I gave it to him on the explicit grounds that it would be in a lock box. I told Brad that I wanted him to rekey the two doors since I now had no idea where my key had been. He said that there was no chance he would do that because they had done nothing wrong. When I explained the number of customer service issues I had had including the missed appointments and house key wandering around, that it was odd that he made no effort to resolve the customer service issues I had experienced, specifically from him the owner. Brad then yelled at me that it wasn’t his fault, and started cursing at me.
Needless to say I beg you to find someone else to help with your water issues. I can deal with customer service issues and work to help resolve them, I have no sympathy for an owner who curses at me and who makes no attempt to fix issues.

Az flood squad thank you so much for your help I truly appreciate the work that you have completed for me. I left for a month due to family emergency and clyde made sure that my house was taken care of. Let alone how amazing It looked when I got home. You guys will get 5 stars from me and I will make sure that I recommend you guys to all my friends and family. Again thank you Clyde, Brad and those lovely ladies in the office you took the headache of dealing with insurance and made this and amazing experience.

It started off a little ruff because it was not explained the process. A representative from 1 st choice Gino Lozamo explained how the process works. He kept his word and finished the job the next day. I am very pleased with the works they have done. My first initial review has been deleted. I am happy with it so far. Project finished 09/​18/​2014 completed.
