Allie’s Auto Air

I’ve been going to Allie’s for several years, first for my Ford van AC and later for my Dodge Ram AC. The Ram had a slow leak in the compressor and Allie’s charged it up two or 3 times, each time saying I’d probably need a new compressor the next year.
Well this was that year and I now wish I’d just done it a few years ago as I learned the longer you wait, the more things that could be affected (kind of like with brakes). I first went to the Dodge dealer thinking I’d get a warranty good around the country, but being a 2004 and that a Mopar compressor is hard to find and more expensive, that went out the window. Then when the dealer’s estimate doubled when the tech got to it, I got it out of there.
So then I checked Unilocal and found another place with really great reviews in Mesa and went to them for an estimate. Their estimate seemed ok but their shop was so busy I didn’t know who would work on it as they were a full repair shop. So I decided to trust Allie’s for the job as that’s what they do all day long.
No appointment, I just dropped it off when they opened on a Thursday and said picking it up on Friday would work great. We talked about the job and they explained things well and then when it was done Friday morning I picked it up and he price was in line with my expectations and it blew as cold as the day I bought it new. My only regret is I hadn’t done it earlier instead of each year feeling that cold air dwindling as time went on. Thanks Allie’s!

What a nightmare! I came in with a freon leak and ended up with a broken crankcase pulley and a radiator hanging and shaking from not being bolted in. They just left it there. They assured me that they have many years of experience and that there was no leak and it was an electrical problem that they could fix at $ 90 per hour but there was no way of telling how many hours it would take to find the problem. I took the leap of faith. They found the electrical problem and charged me $ 300. Within 24 hours my car was blowing hot because the refrigerant had leaked out. They said it would be another $ 300 but they had to order the part. When the part came in it was the wrong part and that I had the choice of Stop Leak or having the piece welded with no telling how long it would hold. I paid them another $ 200 which would have been okay but a week later I find my radiator wasn’t even bolted in it was left hanging and shaking. How I found this out was my serpentine belts were thrown because my crankcase pulley had been bent. Having these guys work on my car is going to end up costing me! These guys are horrible!
