Superdogs Daycare

We’ve been taking our dog to Superdogs since we moved to Bedford in 2015 at the recommendation of the previous homeowner. They have been nothing more than spectacular and the very mention of the word gets our dog in a happy frenzy.
First of all, the staff is outstanding. They know the dogs by name and welcome them as soon as they arrive. Our pooch jumps right up onto the counter, anxious to get to playtime. He is just as happy when we pick him up. It is great to have the option to drop off at will whether it is for a quick couple of hours just to get his energy out on a rainy day or a full day when we know we will be out and don’t want to leave him home. They do a great job separating the dogs for feeding time and I have never had an issue with other dogs there, as they seem to take great care doing a temperament testing ahead of accepting any dogs into the play area.
We started with short visits and when we knew he was excited to go and comfortable there, we left him for an overnight and eventually a few days when we were away. Recently he was there for an entire week during a family vacation and we always felt comfortable with the staff and their care and attentiveness. No issues whatsoever (unless you count him sleeping for 3 solid days when he came home … he must have played hard that entire week and just seemed so content).
I read some of the negative reviews here and they are grossly unfounded, yet I was impressed at the quality of the response by Superdogs. I think people need to understand that not every dog is a good candidate for kennel free daycare and boarding (though they do have a kennel option). They keep a close eye on the dogs and I’m sure there will be the inevitable scratch or cut as it is inevitable when dogs play — they have teeth and nails and they use them during playtime. There are also warning signs with some of the dogs who may be either aggressive or even overly submissive, attracting negative pack attention. They are not people … they are dogs and only somebody who understands the nature of both active and perceived behavior can explain. If your dog isn’t a fit here, it is not because they are a bad place. We have had nothing but great experiences and every dog we see getting picked up is happy and healthy and they have a set method of everything from intake to release to feeding.
For overnights, they generally post pictures on the website and you can see the relaxed body language in all the dogs there. It would be great if they had a webcam, since it would be fun to watch, but I have all the confidence based on our treatment over the past year and would highly recommend Superdogs to anybody who is interested.
I recommend that you bring your dog in for a temperament test and start with short (i.e. 2 hour) visits until they feel comfortable with the location. Don’t just drop for a full day or overnight on the first visit. That goes for any location you take your beloved family member (s).

Superdogs is amazing! My fur baby has gone to them for 5 years! She absolutely loves the staff, especially the owners. They truly take amazing care of your dog like they were their own. Super accommodating! The facility is absolutely gorgeous.

I would never have brought my dog there if I had known just how they treat some dogs there. I picked up my dog and discovered that there was a huge gash on his toe which I had to take him to the vet for for evaluation and meds which cost me over $ 200, when I called about this, they just scoffed at me and accused me of blaming them for this injury! They didn’t apologize or even offer any compensation.
Also while my dog was going there, the vet had found that he had a mouth full of papillomas 7 to be exact which is very contagious among dogs. The only place he would had got this was at Superdogs. Which at the time was his only contact with other dogs. That cost me more money to have removed. They obviously don’t screen for this and when I initially brought him in to be evaluated for distemperment test to see if he would be ok to go they had him for about 3 minutes and said «yup he’s fine». Which I thought that was too quick. Knowing that my dog was good with others, I was worried about the other dogs there.
Now about the girls who take the dogs to the back… I never felt like they were good with my dog, a little rough with the leash and yanking on him as I saw them going through the door to the back. Never saying hi and just giving me a look like they didn’t care about the safety of my dog. In the end, they ended up «kicking him out» for no good real reason. Which they did us a favor, because I would never suggest this place to anyone who cares about their dog.
Since then I’ve heard of 2 others that had been «kicked out» and dogs being injured.
Don’t bring your dog, there are other places. Good Mojo in Milford is kennel free if that is important to your dog and they are excellent AND THEY HAVE LIVE WEB CAM!

My two dogs Sam & Bella are simply in love with this place. Way back I was skeptical to try it as they were in a strip mall. However, after their first daycare experience when they came home fatigued, yet happy I stopped ever bringing them anywhere else for their occasional daycare appearance. Although I am that guy who prefers to travel with my dogs they became the only place that I would board my dogs for the same reasons.
Fast forward to today and Super Dogs now has the most cutting edge and comfortable, freestanding boarding/​daycare facility in the area. The owners are so dedicated that when they made this new facility they also made part of it their house. I don’t think I have to say anymore than that. All you have to do when going away is drop off your dogs and enjoy seeing pics of your dogs having an even better time than when they are with you on the company’s Facebook page until you get home.

We take our big boy here several times a week. They know him and me, and great us even before the door is fully open!
He loves going here and playing with the staff and his friends. He always comes home in a good mood, and you can just tell they treat the dogs here so well, and how quickly they become part of a family.
I recommend to anyone with a puppy, big or small, start now to get them social to people and other dogs. The place is clean, new looking, great layout, and cheaper that a few other places we looked into before.
The help give him meds if needed, as well as grooming and brushing.

I decided to try Superdogs for daycare because it’s right down the road from work. So glad I did! My younger dog has been attending for a few months now and really likes it. She’s been to a few different daycares. If she doesn’t like a place, she will refuse to go inside. But as soon as we pull into the Superdogs parking lot, she gets so excited. One day last week my older dog, who has no interest in daycare, decided she was going to check it out. She loves it too! When we pull in to the parking lot, she muscles her way out of the car to get in there. Which is great because she could use the exercise. If my dogs love it this much, they must be doing something right :) And they have discounted rates for two dogs!
I think the facility is impressive. It’s very large and very clean. All the staff are friendly and know all the dogs by name. I feel like my dogs are well cared for. Just tried the cage free boarding and will definitely use again. I do wish they had webcams because I miss my dogs when I go on long trips, and it’s nice to see they’re having fun. But Superdogs does update their facebook page with pictures all the time.

My pup loves going to daycare at Superdogs. They say hello when she enters and her whole body starts wagging, not just her tail. She seems very happy there. Her reaction is important to me because I have often questioned whether she is loved and cared for there or not. She obviously enjoys it and loves the girls in charge of her there.

Not a great experience. If your dog is not a PERFECT dog, they are not interested in having them there. I have had my dogs at MULTIPLE daycare/​boarding/​grooming facilities and have NEVER been told that my dog wouldn’t be allowed to be there. These dogs are very energetic and have been cooped up for a while because of the weather… they were excited, not aggressive. Anyway, I found a wonderful place to take them that wants my business.

Judy and mark (owners) work very hard to groom every dog the best they can! With 65 years combined in dog care, grooming, breeding, etc. they have more experience than most daycares/​groomers around here. They know every dog is an individual and requires individual attention whether in daycare or grooming or boarding! Superdogs strives to recognize every owner and personalize customers! A plus!

My dog is seriously my baby! I cook for him. He has his own bedroom (a bit much, I know)… After reviewing many options locally (just moved here), found Super Dogs and I LOVE THEM!!! My guy RUNS out of the car to the owners or the girls at the front desk! They always give me an update on who he played with, how active he was. I started with 1 hour then went to 2. Then 3 hours, then left him for 4 hours and now I leave him all day long. God forbid if I couldn’t take him somewhere with me, this would be THE ONLY place I would trust to keep him! The girls that work there are soooooo sweet!!! He’s 22 lbs and they will pick him up and carry him back to his friends vs crappy petsmart who uses a choke leash (made that mistake-​once). The owners Mark and Judy are like family to me. I used to visit quite a bit when I was little but now only go once or twice every other month. I often go and get nails cut and they do a great job. Everyone that works there is real nice and very patient with me.
I was really happy when they started boarding. Mama and Papa sometimes have to go away for a few days and I know I am going to be well taken care of and in a safe environment. I know I’m not the easiest pup to please and like humans more than other dogs but they understand me and I really appreciate it. ~Kimchi~

I finally used their grooming services and I was very happy with it. I let my dog play for the day and they groomed him closer to the time I was going to pick him, so that flexibility was nice and I liked that he was able to play first. They have a nice grooming package and you can pick too what you want if you do not want the full grooming. They gave my dog a cute little bow tie, which I liked, because I hate those bandannas :)
