History

Established in 1998.

The firm was created in 1998 after collaborations with well-​known firms in the UK such as David Chipperfield. Since inception, we’ve created dozens of award-​winning modern homes in England, Spain, and California as well as restaurants, commercial tenant improvement, and developments. Our history is less about how many nice project photographs we accumulate, but more about how many nice clients return with new projects!

Business Owner

John Onken is an architect who’s practiced widely in both Europe and the US. He brings modern European style and taste to projects for inspired clients on the peninsula and throughout the Bay Area.

When he’s not on a plane to support his London office, on site in Woodside with a new client, or negotiating with a kitchen supplier in the City, John can be found at the dog park with Rudolph the terrier or on a bike in the hills.
