Studio LaRue Salon & Day Spa

Amy Wood is an artist, not only a stylist! She makes my hair look great, and I see this as an investment because hair can make a statement. She can do traditional/​classic looks, or more fun & colorful styles as well.

I used Studio LaRue for both the makeup and hairdos for myself (the bride!) and for my family for my wedding day. I was planning my Memphis wedding from Chicago, so I needed to work with a beauty salon that was responsive, easy to work with, and able to produce a stunning look without a trial hair and makeup session.
My hair and makeup were done by Brooke, who made me look gorgeous and was wonderful to talk to while sitting in a chair for a few hours. I called the studio to book my appointment 3 months out, and then Brooke followed up with me personally over text to check in and set up a styling plan. I brought in a few pictures of styles that I liked and Brooke tried a couple of looks and ideas before we settled on a perfect curled, casual updo.
I also am very pale and freckled, so was worried about the look of heavy foundation making me look markedly different. Brooke suggested air makeup (for a $ 25 up charge), but the look was so much more natural and flawless that it was absolutely worth it.
While I did not have bridesmaids, they did the mom’s hair with short but stylish looks. (Not over the top, but elegant.)
Studio LaRue sent three people (1 could only stay an hour) to my hotel room to take care of 5 hair updos and 3 makeup sessions, for a total of $ 750. (I think prices as $ 65 for bridal makeup, which includes brows and fake lashes and $ 75 for an updo.) They were a little pricey, but the ladies were professional and everyone looked wonderful. All hair and makeup was completed with time to spare.
Would absolutely recommend Studio LaRue (Brooke is great if you can book her) for a bride looking for a professionally done look.

I had a great experience in the spa! Stephanie took the time to give me a consult, suggest products I was looking for. I went back for a facial two weeks later (due to my schedule not hers) and to be honest, it was the best facial I have ever received. Not only is Stephanie knowledgeable she is also passionate about her job and it shows! I trust her competencies completely and have already recommended several of my friends and family members to pay her a visit.

Came here for a manicure. The spa itself is beautiful. Clean, welcoming and a great atmosphere. Very professional staff. Samantha is phenomenal. She did a great job on my nails. She was knowledgeable and efficient but thorough and attentive to detail. While a mani was a couple bucks more here than some other options close by, I was happy to pay it for the service I received and will most definitely be going back.

WORST place ever to get your eyebrows done. The young lady that I let wax my brows did everything I told her NOT to do. I literally drove home in tears. After spending 3+ months only getting minor touch ups to my brows so I can grow them out and get the perfect shape, I come to this place and get my brows butchered. She was not very professional, inexperienced and did not listen to what I wanted. My advice as far as brows are concerned, go somewhere else!

I love getting all my services here! Samantha does an excellent job on my nails, Bari gives the most natural, glowing airbrush tan I have ever had, and the medical spa has everything I need to look my best, including Botox with Nurse Jac. Always a great, relaxing experience.

Based on my previous review, I received a very speedy response from Tina, the manager of Studio La Rue. Based on her email, I would be glad to give them another chance at my business if I was not completely satisfied with my current salon.
Tina was very receptive and interested in providing satisfactory customer service and I appreciate that immensely.
As my last appointment attempt was a year ago, you may no longer experience the same thing. I also like the fact that they offer their customers a signature facial for a referral of a new customer.
I will consider them again for a service my current salon does not offer.

Literally my new obsession. Obsessed. Like really and truly obsessed.
Because I only paid $ 1,000 for hair extensions and they are literally the best hair extensions I’ve ever had. Keep in mind, I lived in LA for 4 years and went where the stars went. And these are better. Like I permanently have Kardashian sex hair and I love it.
I’ve had a love hate relationship with hair salons all over town but this place is great… and literally next door to my office. They also have a medical spa upstairs… can’t wait to check that baby out!

I have been going to Studio La Rue for several years, now, and have had some great experiences! I highly recommend the hair services (cut, color, blowout, style, up-​do), makeup and the facials. I have long hair and my stylist is David. He does a very nice layered cur for me and also does the best blowouts!
I had my wedding hair done from a stylist at this salon, also. She was very willing to work with me and we did several trial runs before the big day. (Will post Photos soon!)
It only gets 4 stars because the nail and massage services weren’t as good as the rest of the items they offer; but for hair and face pampering, you are in good hands!

Had a great experience with this medical spa. The laser treatment was relatively pain free and the results were amazing. I highly recommend the skin rejuvenation laser treatment for uneven skin tone and broken capillaries. Thanks ladies!
