Great haircut by Sarah Coward! I told her that my hair needs more life and movement, and I gave her free reign on what she thought was best for my super thick hair. Sarah is wonderful with thick hair! I also asked for short pieces in the front, and she worked that in and blended it with the rest of the haircut. I appreciate a stylist who can take what I want and make a haircut a better fit with my lifestyle (I airdry my hair and barely style it, so I needed something that looked good without much work). I also loved the head massage, hand massage, and offering a beverage in the beginning. Highly recommend!
Also don’t forget they only take cash or check tips!

I’ve been a salon customer for several years now and I can’t sing the praises of my girl Sarah enough! I enter the building with lifeless hair and then she works her magic and I leave looking fab for weeks! Plus, all their Aveda products are wonderful; the color products are heatless, which is so much healthier for your hair. I work full time so I can’t spend 4 hours at the salon during the day, but Sarah works with my schedule to get me in and out quickly every time. I also recently took advantage of one of their spa services. A one-​hour massage from Evan was exactly what I needed after a long week! Overall, I’d recommend Pavo to anyone in Memphis looking for a new salon.

Awesome! Very clean, professional salon. Great atmosphere. Sarah is amazing with hair and she’s a sweetheart. I only got my hair done so can’t comment on the skin services, but I was in and out in a timely manner without being rushed. I felt comfortable the whole time, and the end result was beautiful. I will definitely be going back.

LOVE Aveda products and the way they smell, a total splurge but sometimes you just have to treat yourself, the Rosemary Mint hair products are great!
Facials by Kelsey are AMAZING! If you are serious about exfoliating, and you should be, you need to do the dermaplaning; it involves a scalpel so my first time I was a little nervous but Kelsey had me relaxed in no time. I’d say a microdermabrasion is the closet «mainstream» thing it feels closest to and it’s just as effective as a chemical peel but without the downtime. But the regular facial is great too, I love getting the mask, makes my skin feel so great. I’ve also had the eyelash extensions done, I really enjoy the look for special events and the application is comfortable and doesn’t take too long.
Overall the prices here are pretty standard for a nice salon but the high quality products make it a good value IMO. If I didn’t already have someone I’m loyal to elsewhere for hair I would use this as my one stop shop for all my beauty needs.

This review is about Evan the masseuse. I can’t thank him enough! I drove to Memphis Easter weekend and was in a fair amount of pain after the drive. I was hit by a car last year and I am still feeling the effects. He was able to adjust my hip so that I have been in the least amount of pain since November. I was able to relax for the remainder of my trip.
He is a miracle worker!

I am an Avada girl. Love love love the products. So when I moved to north east Arkansas from KC, I was worried that I would never see Avada products again. But a quick Google search lead me to Pavo. This is a very nice salon! They offer all kinds of hair and spa services. The receptionists are very welcoming and upon arrival of your appointment, they offer you a complementary beverage. They have a wide variety of products to purchase and the stylist is great to help you make the beat choice for your needs. Speaking of stylist, go to Sarah! She is awesome! She always consults me on what I like or don’t like about my hair. She listens to what I want and doesn’t just do what she wants.
I highly recommended this place. I don’t drive an hour for my appointment for nothing!

The best salon I’ve been to in Memphis.
I saw Anna and loved what she did with my hair. The prices are a little steep, but you’re also paying for a very nice salon, the great products they use, and someone who really takes the time to get you what you want. I’m trying to go back to my natural color, and Anna worked with me to get it there.
Very nice staff and a huge selection of products to buy or browse while waiting for your appointment.
My only problem was some consternation over my curly hair — I don’t wear it straight often (like, less than twice a year) but a lot of straightening products were pushed on me. I get that those are trendy products, but a little respect for natural hair texture would be nice. That said, Anna cut my curls really well, and now that I’ve gone once I think explaining that will be less of an issue.

Sarah Coward is a hair life changer. She gives the best service I’ve ever received and I find myself going back more often just because she makes me feel so amazing every time I walk out. She has given me high lights twice with a 3^rd pending appt and I waited to review till she gave me a cut and she is so talented she thinned out my thick hair, respected my wishes by taking off the minimum necessary to get my hair looking healthy. I am growing out a long bob and she had great ideas about what to do now to get ready for my next look. I try to change my hair up a few times a year with the cut/​color and I look forward to letting Sarah take the reigns since she is also very talented and ‘styling’ your face and what would look good on you. She also patiently taught me how to curl my hair more efficiently.
The entire salon is clean, smells terrific, and the staff is accommodating in making you feel comfortable.
They give you a head massage at the washing bowl and also a little aroma therapy.
I have never been an Aveda fan until I bought the dry hair spray– it works very well and serves a few purposes as a dry shampoo and hair spray. If your stylist recommends a product it is because they truly believe in it.
The text message reminders for appointments are great!

I went to Pavo today to get an eyebrow and lip wax. I really appreciated that they got me in same day and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Kelsey was the delightful lady that performed the service on my brows and lip. She did an excellent job and was so kind and gentle. I will be going to see her in a few weeks to get a deep cleansing facial, as well. I love my new AVEDA products I purchased also. It amazed me how neat and clean the whole entire place was, too! That’s always refreshing!!! It was just a pleasure doing business with this local salon and spa. I recommend it to anyone and everyone. You won’t be sorry! If you are looking for an awesome hair stylish that knows her products and is a wonderful hair artist, try to book an appointment with Monica. She is wonderful!!! :-)

I’m a big fan of this salon. Alexa does a great job with my curls. She is respectful of my time and efficient. The salon is fairly priced. I am always happy!

Have been going to see Emily N. at Pavo for almost a year now and couldn’t be any more pleased. I wore my hair buzzed for years and when I finally decided to grow it out, I knew I wanted someone with a good reputation. Several of my friends use Emily as well and they all recommended her very highly. It’s slighty more expensive than a typical guy’s hair cut, but I know I’m going to get a great hair cut each and every time I go in.

Just had a great experience with Gloria @ Pavo. She immediately offered a warm greeting and took me right back with no wait. We discussed preferences and she offered excellent suggestions. Fantastic style at a reasonable price with great Aveda atmosphere… check it out! Oh, and see Gloria…

Great salon. Aveda products and professional staff. You walk in and are put at ease from all the spa quality aromas. Shawn cut and styles my hair. The cost was actually more than what I used to pay on the east coast but I think he was the head stylist so that was typical. I didn’t mind since the cut was precise.
