Lawrence Hsia DMD

I’ve been going to Dr. Hsia for several years, and had cleanings, fillings, crowns, and root canals. He has always done great work, his staff is friendly and courteous, and what’s important to all of us is… there’s no pain!
I used to dread going to *any* dentist, because I’d be afraid the shot of Lidocaine to numb up my mouth would hurt; or the Lidocaine wouldn’t work well and I’d find myself wishing I had used nitrous gas (i.e., laughing gas) also; or I’d find myself wishing I’d pre-​medicated myself with a Xanax or a pain pill! Well, that has NEVER happened at Dr. Hsia’s office. The Lidocaine numbing shots are painless and effective, which makes even the most labor intensive procedure (a root canal) also painless. I highly recommend this dentist!

Dr. Hsia gets four stars for being pretty patient and flexible and his staff was very nice, but the overall experience with my crown issue gets two stars.
I had a lack of luck with the crown that he placed in my mouth. It was poorly-​shaped and I ended up doing what I should have done in the first place and had a crown shaped using some high-​tech gadgetry at a nice place in Germantown. Now, I’m pain-​free.
