This Mexican restaurant is probably one of the best in Memphis. We started out with their killer chips. The chips were perfectly crispy, not greasy, and salted to perfection. We got the guacamole appetizer, but it was more of chunks of lightly seasoned avocado and pico de gallo on top. Still very good, just was not what I was expecting. The salsa was delicious and very flavorful. We also got a frozen Margarita, which was only five dollars for a shot glass full of it and it was actually surprisingly strong. A+ for the margaritas! The fajitas were nothing like I’ve ever tried before, they are served with your choice of chicken or steak, with cheese and bacon melted on top and onions and bell peppers sautéed perfectly within the mix of meat. I got no bacon however and cheese on the side, but my friend got it the way it was served and said it was amazing! The fajitas are not serve with any sides which was a little disappointing but we used our appetizer guacamole to substitute. And while the corn and flour tortillas are not homemade, they actually were very good quality and still delicious. Overall it was a very good experience and I definitely go back!

Always awesome. Can speak highly enough for guacamole and steak fajitas. Service is not the best but worth dealing with for the food

My girlfriend and I came here for Cinco de Mayo. The food lacked flavor. The wait staff was friendly.

We went at an off hour and service was great. The enchiladas were good, as were the tacos. I hear it is a bit busy at meal times, so you might plan to get there early or late. Great food.

Best salsa and guacamole in town. Chips are fresh and homemade. Have yet to have a dish that I didn’t enjoy!

I love this place for Mexican food. It’s delicious every time. The prices are so reasonable. You can get a plate of quesadilla for around $ 5.00. My fave is the veggie quesadilla that’s is only $ 4.50. They do have expensive drinks. Which is what they make their money on since the food is so reasonable. But the food is Delicious for sure!!! I have been there many times already! They have a variety of things on the menu. The service is good too.

This restaurant gets five stars for its beyond delicious and reasonably priced food. They clearly have their restaurant operation down pat. They seat you rapidly and have a good cadence about the way they bring out chips, bring water and take your order. The food came out within 8 to 10 minutes and it was just perfectly flavored! While we could have left within 30 minutes of arrival, the relaxed atmosphere kept us there for another half-hour or so. We even ordered a second round. The Aztec chicken soup is better than your grandma’s best chicken soup. I even know people who get their Aztec to go if they have a cold. The soup is FULL of shredded chicken and is topped with a slice of avocado. One person got the chicken quesadillas, which was stuffed with oodles of chicken. Another person got the shrimp quesadilla that was also stuffed to the hilt. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. When the check came, my husband stopped the server and said, «Ah, my wife and I are on the same check.» Ends up the check was so reasonable, he thought it was too low to have combined both of our orders. $ 22 bucks for two meals and he had two beers. I’ve been wanting to eat here forever and I have a feeling this will become my new spot!

Las Delicias is the perfect spot for pretty tasty food on a budget. I ordered a quesadilla and rice, and I was very pleased with what I received. Moreover, my boyfriend and I were able to eat as much as we normally do, which is a lot, for about $ 10. Talk about a deal! Only complaints are that 1. things seem a bit unorganized and 2. The salsa wasn’t for me. No biggie though!

Stopped in around 3pm on a Saturday and the place was surprisingly relatively busy, which of course is a good sign. We were seated quickly and immediately dug into the chips and fresh salsa. Salsa was delicious but on the mild side so ask for additional hot sauce(chipotle and a jalapeño sauce) if you like it spicy. Menu is simple but has all the staples. I ordered a chorizo taco and the husband ordered the chorizo quesadilla. And because it was the weekend I ordered a regular margarita on the rocks :) Marg was perfect with the chips and salsa. Food came out quickly. My taco was piled high with chorizo and was devoured in less than 5 bites. The quesadilla was also good with the right ratio of melty cheese and chorizo. Service was kinda slow and but not that big of a deal. Not by fave Memphis Mexican spot, but for less than $ 12 for that whole meal, worth stopping in for a bite.

As a Memphis native this is hands down the best Mexican food in Memphis. Unique flavors not found in other Mexican restaurants. We go again and again!

The food here is amazing. It’s going to be packed, so expect a wait… but the wait is worth it. Do what I do and go get a drink at the bar while waiting on an available table. Their chips are homemade and the pico is to die for! I ordered the quesadilla pastor and was not disappointed. I also ordered a jumbo margarita(slightly out of peer pressure due to the girls at the bar). Margarita is delicious and strong! Definitely going to become a regular spot for me and my man.

I’m with Joelle. I had a horrible experience here. We arrived at lunch time, no more crowded than any other lunch spot in town. We sat for over 20 minutes before they took our drink order. We waited another 10 – 15 minutes before they took our food order. Then waited who knows how long before the food came. I too had to go looking for our server. I was just about to literally walk into the kitchen to find someone to assist me before she came running past me with her tray. Ridiculous. And then the food tastes like trash. I ordered two steak tacos. The steak tastes like rubber cardboard and the tortilla tastes like paper. And there was no appreciation by the staff of our wait or the poor quality of the food. I will not be back.

Bad News. I guess that’s what I get for eating Mexican food in Memphis. No clue how this place has such good reviews other than to chalk it up to there’s not a lot of Mexican in Memphis so they don’t know what they’re missing out on. The cheese in my quesadilla wasn’t melted and one side of it was totally soggy. I also got two tacos, chicken and pastor, both very mediocre with very little meat. The chips were good, but salsa was very mild with no spice.

I’m a fan of this place for the most part. Their food is pretty yummy and their portions are very filling. The price is incredibly reasonable too and one of the main reasons you need to give this place a shot, especially if you’re a college student. But I have to warn you, it’s very hit or miss here. It is super down to earth. Nothing fancy. Just a good place to come with coworkers for a quick lunch, or to unwind after work. Their servers are sometimes not too friendly/chatty but they’re courteous for the most part. The tables are not too clean either. They always look a little smudgy to me. It definitely has the feel of a fast food chain. The guacamole is probably the first thing you have to try here. It is chunky and delicious! The Horchata is pretty good too. I’m a vegetarian, and ordered a veggie quesadilla. I was very reluctant at first because other places have dished out some horrible veggie quesadillas. But I was very pleasantly surprised! It was delicious and came with a very generous portion of sour crème and pico. It also had avocado in it, which was a nice treat. The other thing you have to try is their margaritas. Usually, when done right, they pack a punch and are delicious(different sizes are available). But I have to say they have not always come out perfect. Sometimes they’re too weak and sweet. Bottom line: If you just want to grab a quick bite, this is the place to go. I would definitely not have an important work meeting or first date here when the intention is to impress someone, because they are unfortunately not too consistent with their service.

Me and my wife were over at the Target doing some shopping and got the munchies. I mean what else is there to do after piling up ones basket with great bargains right?! I’ve heard about this place for a while now and decided to try it out. I really wasn’t expecting much from the place because it’s not in a ritzy spot but I was dead wrong. It’s simple yet creative and that I like. The décor is common and that’s ok. Anyways: You have various options when it’s come to the carne tacos — pulled pork, chicken or my fav — beef or Chorizo *Sidenote* these tacos with the sauce Options will make you slap the sweetest grand mom* Listen, the tacos were so good?! I made them from scratch at home a few days later — Good Lawd! Affordable, fresh and good — Go at lunchtime.

The service here is really awful. I’ve been here a few times, and service has never been great, but today was exceptionally bad. We had a group of 8 celebrating a graduation. Some examples: –It took forever to get waters. When they came, she had us pass them around instead of walking water to people. –We ordered 1 pitcher of margaritas(19.50 a piece) and she brought 2 pitchers and disappeared. They’re very sweet and not very strong. –One person in our group didn’t get her food –She brought the checks and handed them to one person to figure out and pass out to everyone. And then disappeared. I had to just go pay up front because I was late for a meeting and she was nowhere to be seen. I’ve only ever had their chorizo tacos. They are pretty good and I“m a sucker for anything chorizo. But after 3 visits here, and not being impressed with the service at all, there are plenty of other mexican places in Memphis with good chorizo. :)

This place is one of Memphis’ best. They aren’t fancy by any means and that’s just great in my book! The food is generally always good, fresh, and on point. Any item I have ordered has been mostly amazing(everyone has off days) but I’m stuck on the amazingly simple steak quesadilla. The steak is like chipped away or something because it’s not sliced or diced. Maybe it’s magic, I don’t know… Anyway, the cheese is all gooey and it’s all folded in a tasty edible tortilla wrapper. You get a fat dollop of sour cream and some fresh pico de gallo to jam in there as if it will fit. I prefer filling it with the salsa. Yum! Get it
